दुःशासनस्तु राजेन्द्र पाञ्चाल्यस्य महात्मनः। नाशकत्प्रमुखे स्थातुं शरजालप्रपीडितः ॥७-१६४-४॥

सम्प्रहारमकुर्वंस्ते सर्वे सप्त महारथाः। अमर्षिताः सत्त्ववन्तः कृत्वा मरणमग्रतः ॥७-१६४-८॥

न तत्रासीदधर्मिष्ठमशस्त्रं युद्धमेव च। नात्र कर्णी न नालीको न लिप्तो न च वस्तकः ॥७-१६४-११॥

न सूची कपिशो नात्र न गवास्थिर्गजास्थिकः। इषुरासीन्न संश्लिष्टो न पूतिर्न च जिह्मगः ॥७-१६४-१२॥

ऋजून्येव विशुद्धानि सर्वे शस्त्राण्यधारयन्। सुयुद्धेन पराँल्लोकानीप्सन्तः कीर्तिमेव च ॥७-१६४-१३॥

बाल्ये वृत्तानि सर्वाणि प्रीयमाणौ विचिन्त्य तौ। अन्योन्यं प्रेक्षमाणौ च हसमानौ पुनः पुनः ॥७-१६४-२१॥

tam āyāntam abhiprekṣya pratyagṛhṇāt tavātmajaḥ। śaraiś cāvākirad rājañ śaineyaṃ tanayas tava ॥7-164-34॥

आगस्कृतमिवात्मानं पाण्डवानां महात्मनाम्। ऋषिवाक्यं च मन्वानः श्रुत्वा च निहतं सुतम् ॥७-१६४-१०९॥
