अम्बरीषश्च नाभाग इष्टवान्यमुनामनु। यज्ञैश्च तपसा चैव परां सिद्धिमवाप सः ॥०३-१२९-२॥

अत्रानुवंशं पठतः शृणु मे कुरुनन्दन। उलूखलैराभरणैः पिशाची यदभाषत ॥०३-१२९-८॥
atrānuvaṃśaṃ paṭhataḥ śṛṇu me kurunandana। ulūkhalairābharaṇaiḥ piśācī yadabhāṣata ॥03-129-8॥

yugandhare dadhi prāśya uṣitvā cācyutast hale। tadvad bhūtilaye snātvā saputrā vastum icchasi॥03-129-9॥
[युगन्धरे (yugandhare) - on Yugandhara (the mountain); दधि (dadhi) - curd; प्राश्य (prāśya) - having eaten; उषित्वा (uṣitvā) - having spent (the night); च (ca) - and; अच्युतस्थले (acyutast hale) - at the place of Acyuta (Vishnu); तद्वत् (tadvat) - in the same way; भूतिलये (bhūtilaye) - at Bhūtilaya (the name of a place); स्नात्वा (snātvā) - having bathed; सपुत्रा (saputrā) - with your son; वस्तुम् (vastum) - to dwell; इच्छसि (icchasi) - you desire;]

You desire to dwell with your son at Bhūtilaya, just as you stayed at the place of Acyuta on Yugandhara after eating curd and spending the night. (03-129-9)
एकरात्रमुषित्वेह द्वितीयं यदि वत्स्यसि। एतद्वै ते दिवा वृत्तं रात्रौ वृत्तमतोऽन्यथा ॥०३-१२९-१०॥
ekarātram uṣitvā iha dvitīyam yadi vatsyasi। etad vai te divā vṛttam rātrau vṛttam ato'nyathā॥03-129-10॥

(Having stayed here one night, if you stay a second (night), this indeed will be your deed by day, done at night otherwise from this.)
If you stay here one night and then stay a second night, this act done for you during the day will otherwise be considered as done at night. (03-129-10)
अत्राद्याहो निवत्स्यामः क्षपां भरतसत्तम। द्वारमेतद्धि कौन्तेय कुरुक्षेत्रस्य भारत ॥०३-१२९-११॥
atrādyāho nivatsyāmaḥ kṣapāṃ bharatasattama. dvārametaddhi kaunteya kurukṣetrasya bhārata ॥03-129-11॥

अत्रैव नाहुषो राजा राजन्क्रतुभिरिष्टवान्। ययातिर्बहुरत्नाढ्यैर्यत्रेन्द्रो मुदमभ्यगात् ॥०३-१२९-१२॥

etat-plakṣāvataraṇaṁ yamunātīrtham ucyate। etad vai nākapṛṣṭhasya dvāram āhur manīṣiṇaḥ॥03-129-13॥

अत्र सारस्वतैर्यज्ञैरीजानाः परमर्षयः। यूपोलूखलिनस्तात गच्छन्त्यवभृथाप्लवम् ॥०३-१२९-१४॥
atra sārasvatair yajñaiḥ ijānāḥ paramarṣayaḥ. yūpa-ulūkhalinaḥ tāta gacchanti avabhṛtha-aplavam ॥03-129-14॥
[अत्र (atra) - here; सारस्वतैः (sārasvatair) - by Sārasvata (related to Sarasvatī, or learned); यज्ञैः (yajñaiḥ) - by sacrifices; ईजानाः (ījānāḥ) - worshipping; (performing ritual) परमर्षयः (paramarṣayaḥ) - the highest sages; यूपोलूखलिनः (yūpa-ulūkhalinaḥ) - with posts (yūpa) and mortars (ulūkhalin; i.e., accompanied by ritual implements); तात (tāta) - O dear (addressing someone affectionately); गच्छन्ति (gacchanti) - go; अवभृथाप्लवम् (avabhṛtha-aplavam) - to the Avabhṛtha bathing (final purificatory bath of sacrifice);]

अत्रैव भरतो राजा मेध्यमश्वमवासृजत्। असकृत्कृष्णसारङ्गं धर्मेणावाप्य मेदिनीम् ॥०३-१२९-१५॥
atraiva bharato rājā medhyam aśvam avāsṛjat। asakṛt kṛṣṇasāraṅgaṃ dharmeṇa āvāpya medinīm ॥03-129-15॥

यत्र स्नात्वा नरश्रेष्ठ धूतपाप्मा भविष्यति। इह सारस्वतैर्यज्ञैरिष्टवन्तः सुरर्षयः ॥ ऋषयश्चैव कौन्तेय तथा राजर्षयोऽपि च ॥०३-१२९-२१॥
yatra snātvā naraśreṣṭha dhūtapāpmā bhaviṣyati। iha sārasvatairyajñairiṣṭavantaḥ surarṣayaḥ॥ ṛṣayaścaiva kaunteya tathā rājarṣayo'pi ca॥03-129-21॥

O best of men, where having bathed, one becomes washed free of sin. Here, divine sages, as well as sages and royal sages, O son of Kuntī, have performed sacrifices connected with Sarasvatī. (03-129-21)
वेदी प्रजापतेरेषा समन्तात्पञ्चयोजना। कुरोर्वै यज्ञशीलस्य क्षेत्रमेतन्महात्मनः ॥०३-१२९-२२॥
vedī prajāpater eṣā samantāt pañca-yojanā। kuror vai yajña-śīlasya kṣetram etan mahātmanaḥ॥03-129-22॥
