tataḥ saṃhṛtya vipulaṃ tadvapuḥ kāmavardhitam। bhīmasenaṃ punardorbhyāṃ paryaṣvajata vānaraḥ॥03-150-1॥
[ततः (tataḥ) - then; संहृत्य (saṃhṛtya) - having withdrawn; विपुलं (vipulam) - vast; तद्वपुः (tadvapuḥ) - that form; कामवर्धितम् (kāmavardhitam) - magnified by desire; भीमसेनं (bhīmasenam) - Bhīmasena; पुनः (punaḥ) - again; दोर्-भ्याम् (dor-bhyām) - with (his) two arms; पर्यष्वजत (paryaṣvajata) - embraced; वानरः (vānaraḥ) - the monkey;]
(Then, having withdrawn the vast form magnified by desire, the monkey again embraced Bhīmasena with (his) two arms.)
Then the monkey, having withdrawn that vast form increased by desire, once again embraced Bhīmasena with his two arms. (03-150-1)
परिष्वक्तस्य तस्याशु भ्रात्रा भीमस्य भारत। श्रमो नाशमुपागच्छत्सर्वं चासीत्प्रदक्षिणम् ॥०३-१५०-२॥
pariṣvaktasya tasyāśu bhrātrā bhīmasya bhārata। śramo nāśamupāgacchatsarvaṃ cāsītpradakṣiṇam ॥03-150-2॥
[परिष्वक्तस्य (pariṣvaktasya) - of the one embraced; तस्य (tasya) - his; आशु (āśu) - quickly; भ्रात्रा (bhrātrā) - by (his) brother; भीमस्य (bhīmasya) - of Bhīma; भारत (bhārata) - O Bhārata; श्रमः (śramaḥ) - fatigue; नाशम् (nāśam) - destruction; उपागच्छत् (upāgacchat) - attained; सर्वम् (sarvam) - all; च (ca) - and; आसीत् (āsīt) - became; प्रदक्षिणम् (pradakṣiṇam) - favorable (auspicious, pleasing);]
(Of the one embraced by his brother Bhīma, O Bhārata, the fatigue quickly attained destruction, and all became favorable.)
O Bhārata, as Bhīma quickly embraced his brother, all his fatigue was dispelled, and everything became auspicious. (03-150-2)
ततः पुनरथोवाच पर्यश्रुनयनो हरिः। भीममाभाष्य सौहार्दाद्बाष्पगद्गदया गिरा ॥०३-१५०-३॥
tataḥ punar atho vāca paryaśru-nayano hariḥ। bhīmam ābhāṣya sauhārdād bāṣpa-gadgadayā girā ॥03-150-3॥

(Then again then said, with tears in his eyes, Hari; addressing Bhīma, from affection, with a voice choked with tears.)
Then once more, Hari (Kṛṣṇa), with tears in his eyes, spoke to Bhīma in a voice choked with affection and emotion. (03-150-3)
गच्छ वीर स्वमावासं स्मर्तव्योऽस्मि कथान्तरे। इहस्थश्च कुरुश्रेष्ठ न निवेद्योऽस्मि कस्यचित् ॥०३-१५०-४॥
gaccha vīra svam-āvāsaṃ smartavyo'smi kathāntare | ihasthaś ca kuruśreṣṭha na nivedyo'smi kasyacit ||03-150-4||

(Go hero, to your own abode, to be remembered I am on another occasion. Being here and O best of Kurus, not to be conveyed I am to anyone. (03-150-4))
Go, hero, to your own abode. Remember me on another occasion. While I am here, O best of Kurus, I am not to be disclosed to anyone. (03-150-4)
धनदस्यालयाच्चापि विसृष्टानां महाबल। देशकाल इहायातुं देवगन्धर्वयोषिताम् ॥०३-१५०-५॥
dhanadasyālayāccāpi visṛṣṭānāṃ mahābala। deśakāla ihāyātuṃ devagandharvayoṣitām ॥03-150-5॥
[धनदस्यालयात् (dhanadasya ālayāt) - from the abode of Dhanada (Kubera); च (ca) - and; अपि (api) - also; विसृष्टानाम् (visṛṣṭānām) - sent forth; released; महाबल (mahābala) - O mighty one; देशकालः (deśakālaḥ) - according to place and time; इह (iha) - here; आयातुम् (āyātum) - to come; देवगन्धर्वयोषिताम् (deva-gandharva-yoṣitām) - of the women of gods and gandharvas;]
(From the abode of Dhanada also, O mighty one, the sent forth (ones)—according to place and time—here to come, of the women of gods and gandharvas.)
O mighty one, from the abode of Dhanada (Kubera) too, the women of the gods and gandharvas, who are sent forth, may come here as place and time permit. (03-150-5)
ममापि सफलं चक्षुः स्मारितश्चास्मि राघवम्। मानुषं गात्रसंस्पर्शं गत्वा भीम त्वया सह ॥०३-१५०-६॥
mamāpi saphalaṃ cakṣuḥ smāritaścāsmi rāghavam। mānuṣaṃ gātrasaṃsparśaṃ gatvā bhīma tvayā saha ॥03-150-6॥
[ममापि (mama api) - my also; सफलं (saphalaṃ) - successful; चक्षुः (cakṣuḥ) - eye; स्मारितः (smāritaḥ) - reminded; च (ca) - and; अस्मि (asmi) - I am; राघवम् (rāghavam) - Rāghava; मानुषं (mānuṣam) - human; गात्रसंस्पर्शं (gātrasaṃsparśaṃ) - body-contact; गत्वा (gatvā) - having attained; भीम (bhīma) - terrifying one; त्वया (tvayā) - by you; सह (saha) - with;]
(My also successful eye and I have been reminded of Rāghava. Human body-contact having attained, O terrifying one, with you.)
My eyes too have succeeded, and I have been reminded of Rāghava. Having experienced human touch, O Bhīma, together with you. (03-150-6)
तदस्मद्दर्शनं वीर कौन्तेयामोघमस्तु ते। भ्रातृत्वं त्वं पुरस्कृत्य वरं वरय भारत ॥०३-१५०-७॥
tadasmaddarśanaṁ vīra kaunteyāmoghamastu te। bhrātṛtvaṁ tvaṁ puraskṛtya varaṁ varaya bhārata ॥03-150-7॥
[तत् (tat) - therefore; अस्मत्-दर्शनम् (asmat-darśanam) - our seeing; (the sight of us); वीर (vīra) - hero; कौन्तेय (kaunteya) - son of Kunti; अमोघम् (amogham) - not fruitless; effective; अस्तु (astu) - let it be; ते (te) - for you; भ्रातृत्वम् (bhrātṛtvam) - brotherhood; त्वम् (tvam) - you; पुरस्कृत्य (puraskṛtya) - having regarded first; placing foremost; वरम् (varam) - a boon; वरय (varaya) - choose; भारत (bhārata) - O descendant of Bharata;]
(Therefore, our seeing, O hero, son of Kunti, let it not be fruitless for you. Brotherhood you, placing foremost, a boon choose, O descendant of Bharata.)
Therefore, O heroic son of Kunti, let your seeing of us not be fruitless. With brotherhood foremost, choose a boon, O descendant of Bharata. (03-150-7)
यदि तावन्मया क्षुद्रा गत्वा वारणसाह्वयम्। धार्तराष्ट्रा निहन्तव्या यावदेतत्करोम्यहम् ॥०३-१५०-८॥
yadi tāvan-mayā kṣudrā gatvā vāraṇasāhvayam. dhārtarāṣṭrā nihantavyā yāvad-etat-karomy-aham ॥03-150-8॥
[यदि (yadi) - if; तावन् (tāvan) - so long; मया (mayā) - by me; क्षुद्रा (kṣudrā) - small ones; गत्वा (gatvā) - having gone; वारणसाह्वयम् (vāraṇasāhvayam) - Vāraṇasāhvaya (Vārāṇasī); धार्तराष्ट्राः (dhārtarāṣṭrāḥ) - Dhritarashtra's sons; निहन्तव्याः (nihantavyāḥ) - are to be killed; यावत् (yāvat) - until; एतत् (etat) - this; करोमि (karomi) - I do; अहम् (aham) - I;]
(If so long by me, the small ones, having gone to Vāraṇasāhvaya, the sons of Dhritarashtra are to be killed, until this I do.)
If, for so long as I go to Vāraṇasāhvaya and the sons of Dhritarashtra are to be killed by me, I will keep doing this. (03-150-8)
शिलया नगरं वा तन्मर्दितव्यं मया यदि। यावदद्य करोम्येतत्कामं तव महाबल ॥०३-१५०-९॥
śilayā nagaraṁ vā tan-marditavyaṁ mayā yadi। yāvad-adya karomy-etat-kāmaṁ tava mahābala ॥03-150-9॥
[शिलया (śilayā) - with a stone; नगरं (nagaraṁ) - the city; वा (vā) - or; तत् (tat) - that; मर्दितव्यं (marditavyaṁ) - ought to be destroyed; मया (mayā) - by me; यदि (yadi) - if; यावत् (yāvat) - until; अद्य (adya) - today; करोमि (karomi) - I do; एतत् (etat) - this; कामं (kāmaṁ) - desire; तव (tava) - your; महाबल (mahābala) - O mighty one;]
(With a stone, the city or that ought to be destroyed by me if; until today I do this desire of yours, O mighty one.)
O mighty one, if it is necessary, I myself will destroy the city with a stone, so that today I may fulfill this wish of yours. (03-150-9)
भीमसेनस्तु तद्वाक्यं श्रुत्वा तस्य महात्मनः। प्रत्युवाच हनूमन्तं प्रहृष्टेनान्तरात्मना ॥०३-१५०-१०॥
bhīmasenastu tadvākyaṃ śrutvā tasya mahātmanaḥ। pratyuvāca hanūmantaṃ prahṛṣṭenāntarātmanā ॥03-150-10॥
[भीमसेनः (bhīmasenaḥ) - Bhīmasena; (proper noun); तु (tu) - but; तद्-वाक्यं (tad-vākyaṃ) - that speech; श्रुत्वा (śrutvā) - having heard; तस्य (tasya) - of him; महात्मनः (mahātmanaḥ) - of the great-souled one; प्रत्युवाच (pratyuvāca) - replied; हनूमन्तं (hanūmantam) - Hanūmant (Hanumān); प्रहृष्टेन (prahṛṣṭena) - with gladdened; अन्तरात्मना (antarātmanā) - by the inner self;]
(Bhīmasena but that speech having heard of him, the great-souled one, replied Hanūmant with gladdened by the inner self.)
But Bhīmasena, having heard that speech of the great-souled one, replied to Hanumān with a gladdened heart. (03-150-10)
कृतमेव त्वया सर्वं मम वानरपुङ्गव। स्वस्ति तेऽस्तु महाबाहो क्षामये त्वां प्रसीद मे ॥०३-१५०-११॥
kṛtameva tvayā sarvaṁ mama vānarapuṅgava। svasti te'stu mahābāho kṣāmaye tvāṁ prasīda me॥03-150-11॥
[कृतम् (kṛtam) - done; accomplished; एव (eva) - indeed; surely; त्वया (tvayā) - by you; सर्वम् (sarvam) - all; everything; मम (mama) - my; वानरपुङ्गव (vānarapuṅgava) - O best of monkeys; स्वस्ति (svasti) - well-being; auspiciousness; ते (te) - to you; अस्तु (astu) - let there be; महाबाहो (mahābāho) - O mighty-armed; क्षामये (kṣāmaye) - I seek forgiveness; त्वाम् (tvām) - you; प्रसीद (prasīda) - be gracious; मे (me) - to me;]
(Indeed, all my tasks have been done by you, O best of monkeys. Well-being to you; O mighty-armed, I seek forgiveness, you be gracious to me.)
O best of monkeys, all my tasks have indeed been accomplished by you. May well-being be yours, O mighty-armed one; I seek your forgiveness—please show me your favor. (03-150-11)
सनाथाः पाण्डवाः सर्वे त्वया नाथेन वीर्यवन्। तवैव तेजसा सर्वान्विजेष्यामो वयं रिपून् ॥०३-१५०-१२॥
sanāthāḥ pāṇḍavāḥ sarve tvayā nāthena vīryavan। tavaiva tejasā sarvān vijeṣyāmo vayaṃ ripūn॥03-150-12॥
[सनाथाः (sanāthāḥ) - protected; having a protector; पाण्डवाः (pāṇḍavāḥ) - the Pāṇḍavas; सर्वे (sarve) - all; त्वया (tvayā) - by you; नाथेन (nāthena) - as the protector; वीर्यवन् (vīryavan) - possessed of strength; powerful; तव (tava) - your; एव (eva) - indeed; तेजसा (tejasā) - by (your) brilliance; energy; सर्वान् (sarvān) - all; विजेष्यामः (vijeṣyāmaḥ) - we shall conquer; वयम् (vayam) - we; रिपून् (ripūn) - enemies;]
(Protected, the Pāṇḍavas all by you as protector, powerful one; by your very brilliance, all we shall conquer, we, enemies.)
All the Pāṇḍavas are protected by you, our powerful protector; by your own brilliance, we shall conquer all our enemies. (03-150-12)
एवमुक्तस्तु हनुमान्भीमसेनमभाषत। भ्रातृत्वात्सौहृदाच्चापि करिष्यामि तव प्रियम् ॥०३-१५०-१३॥
evam-uktas tu hanumān bhīmasenam abhāṣata। bhrātṛtvāt sauhṛdāc cāpi kariṣyāmi tava priyam ॥03-150-13॥
[एवम् (evam) - thus; उक्तः (uktaḥ) - addressed; तु (tu) - but; हनुमान् (hanumān) - Hanumān; भीमसेनम् (bhīmasenam) - Bhīmasena; अभाषत (abhāṣata) - spoke; भ्रातृत्वात् (bhrātṛtvāt) - out of brotherhood; सौहृदात् (sauhṛdāt) - out of friendship; च (ca) - and; अपि (api) - also; करिष्यामि (kariṣyāmi) - I shall do; तव (tava) - your; प्रियम् (priyam) - pleasure;]
(Thus addressed, but Hanumān to Bhīmasena spoke: out of brotherhood, out of friendship, and also, I shall do your pleasure.)
But when thus addressed, Hanumān spoke to Bhīmasena: "Out of brotherhood and friendship, I will do what pleases you." (03-150-13)
चमूं विगाह्य शत्रूणां शरशक्तिसमाकुलाम्। यदा सिंहरवं वीर करिष्यसि महाबल ॥ तदाहं बृंहयिष्यामि स्वरवेण रवं तव ॥०३-१५०-१४॥
camūṁ vigāhya śatrūṇāṁ śaraśaktisamākulām। yadā siṁharavaṁ vīra kariṣyasi mahābala ॥ tadāhaṁ bṛṁhayiṣyāmi svaraveṇa ravaṁ tava ॥03-150-14॥
[चमूं (camūṁ) - army (accusative singular); विगाह्य (vigāhya) - having entered; having penetrated; शत्रूणां (śatrūṇām) - of enemies; शरशक्तिसमाकुलाम् (śaraśaktisamākulām) - filled with arrows and spears; यदा (yadā) - when; सिंहरवं (siṁharavam) - "lion's roar"; वीर (vīra) - O hero; करिष्यसि (kariṣyasi) - you will make; you will utter; महाबल (mahābala) - O greatly strong; तदा (tadā) - then; अहं (ahaṁ) - I; बृंहयिष्यामि (bṛṁhayiṣyāmi) - will increase; will augment; स्वरवेण (svaraveṇa) - with sound; with voice; रवं (ravam) - roar; shout; तव (tava) - your;]
(Having penetrated the army of the enemies, (which is) filled with arrows and spears, when, O hero of great strength, you will make a "lion's roar", then I will augment your roar with (my) voice.)
When you, O mighty hero, have entered the army of the enemies, filled with arrows and spears, and utter your "lion's roar", then I will increase your roar with my own voice. (03-150-14)
विजयस्य ध्वजस्थश्च नादान्मोक्ष्यामि दारुणान्। शत्रूणां ते प्राणहरानित्युक्त्वान्तरधीयत ॥०३-१५०-१५॥
vijayasya dhvajasthaś ca nādān mokṣyāmi dāruṇān। śatrūṇāṃ te prāṇaharān ity uktvā antaradhīyata ॥03-150-15॥
[विजयस्य (vijayasya) - of victory; ध्वजस्थः (dhvajasthaḥ) - (he who is) on the banner; च (ca) - and; नादान् (nādān) - sounds; मोक्ष्यामि (mokṣyāmi) - I will release; दारुणान् (dāruṇān) - terrible; शत्रूणाम् (śatrūṇām) - of the enemies; ते (te) - their; प्राणहरान् (prāṇaharān) - life-taking; इति (iti) - thus; उक्त्वा (uktvā) - having said; अन्तरधीयत (antaradhīyata) - he disappeared;]
(Of victory, and (he who is) on the banner, I will release terrible sounds, life-taking of the enemies, thus having said, he disappeared.)
He, dwelling on the banner of victory, said, "I will release terrible life-taking sounds against your enemies," and having spoken thus, disappeared. (03-150-15)
गते तस्मिन्हरिवरे भीमोऽपि बलिनां वरः। तेन मार्गेण विपुलं व्यचरद्गन्धमादनम् ॥०३-१५०-१६॥
gate tasmin harivare bhīmo'pi balināṃ varaḥ। tena mārgeṇa vipulaṃ vyacarad gandhamādanam॥03-150-16॥
[गते (gate) - when (he) had gone; (having gone); तस्मिन् (tasmin) - in that (place); हरिवरे (harivare) - with the foremost among monkeys; (with) the best of monkeys; भीमः (bhīmaḥ) - Bhima; (the proper noun); अपि (api) - also; बलिनां (balināṃ) - of the strong; of the powerful; वरः (varaḥ) - the best; the foremost; तेन (tena) - by that; through that; मार्गेण (mārgeṇa) - by the path; along the way; विपुलम् (vipulam) - vast; extensive; व्यचरत् (vyacarat) - wandered; roamed; गन्धमादनम् (gandhamādanam) - Gandhamadana (the name of the mountain);]
(When (he) had gone in that (place) with the foremost among monkeys, Bhima also, the best of the strong, by that path wandered the vast Gandhamadana.)
After he had gone there with the foremost among monkeys, Bhima too, best among the strong, wandered extensively in Gandhamadana by that path. (03-150-16)
अनुस्मरन्वपुस्तस्य श्रियं चाप्रतिमां भुवि। माहात्म्यमनुभावं च स्मरन्दाशरथेर्ययौ ॥०३-१५०-१७॥
anusmaran vapus tasya śriyaṁ ca apratimāṁ bhuvi. māhātmyam anubhāvaṁ ca smaran dāśaratheḥ yayau ॥03-150-17॥
[अनुस्मरन् (anusmaran) - remembering;, वपुः (vapus) - form;, तस्य (tasya) - of him;, श्रियं (śriyam) - splendor;, च (ca) - and;, अप्रतिमां (apratimām) - unmatched;, भुवि (bhuvi) - on earth;, माहात्म्यम् (māhātmyam) - greatness;, अनुभावं (anubhāvam) - influence;, च (ca) - and;, स्मरन् (smaran) - remembering;, दाशरथेः (dāśaratheḥ) - of the son of Daśaratha;, ययौ (yayau) - he went;]
(Remembering his form, his splendor unmatched on earth, his greatness and influence, remembering the son of Daśaratha, he went.)
Remembering the form, the incomparable splendor on earth, the greatness and influence of the son of Daśaratha, he went. (03-150-17)
स तानि रमणीयानि वनान्युपवनानि च। विलोडयामास तदा सौगन्धिकवनेप्सया ॥०३-१५०-१८॥
sa tāni ramaṇīyāni vanāny upavanāni ca। viloḍayāmāsa tadā saugandhikavanepsayā॥03-150-18॥
[स (sa) - he; तानि (tāni) - those; रमणीयानि (ramaṇīyāni) - beautiful; वनानि (vanāni) - forests; उपवनानि (upavanāni) - groves; च (ca) - and; विलोडयामास (viloḍayāmāsa) - (he) explored thoroughly; तदा (tadā) - then; सौगन्धिकवनेप्सया (saugandhikavanepsayā) - with the desire for the Saugandhika forest;]
(He those beautiful forests and groves and explored thoroughly then with the desire for the Saugandhika forest.)
He then thoroughly explored those beautiful forests and groves, longing for the Saugandhika forest. (03-150-18)
फुल्लपद्मविचित्राणि पुष्पितानि वनानि च। मत्तवारणयूथानि पङ्कक्लिन्नानि भारत ॥ वर्षतामिव मेघानां वृन्दानि ददृशे तदा ॥०३-१५०-१९॥
phullapadma-vicitrāṇi puṣpitāni vanāni ca। matta-vāraṇa-yūthāni paṅka-klinnāni bhārata॥ varṣatām iva meghānāṃ vṛndāni dadṛśe tadā॥03-150-19॥
[फुल्लपद्मविचित्राणि (phullapadma-vicitrāṇi) - adorned with blooming lotuses; पुष्पितानि (puṣpitāni) - in blossom; वनानि (vanāni) - the forests; च (ca) - and; मत्तवारणयूथानि (matta-vāraṇa-yūthāni) - herds of intoxicated elephants; पङ्कक्लिन्नानि (paṅka-klinnāni) - soaked with mud; भारत (bhārata) - O Bhārata; वर्षताम् (varṣatām) - pouring rain; इव (iva) - like; मेघानाम् (meghānām) - of clouds; वृन्दानि (vṛndāni) - groups; ददृशे (dadṛśe) - was seen; तदा (tadā) - then;]
(Adorned with blooming lotuses, blossoming forests and herds of intoxicated elephants soaked in mud, O Bhārata, like groups of clouds pouring rain, were seen then.)
O Bhārata, at that time, the blossoming forests adorned with blooming lotuses and herds of mud-soaked intoxicated elephants appeared like rain-pouring clusters of clouds. (03-150-19)
हरिणैश्चञ्चलापाङ्गैर्हरिणीसहितैर्वने। सशष्पकवलैः श्रीमान्पथि दृष्टो द्रुतं ययौ ॥०३-१५०-२०॥
hariṇaiś cañcalāpāṅgair hariṇī-sahitaiḥ vane। sa-śaṣpa-kavalaiḥ śrīmān pathi dṛṣṭo drutam yayau॥03-150-20॥
[हरिणैः (hariṇaiḥ) - with deer; चञ्चलापाङ्गैः (cañcalāpāṅgaiḥ) - with restless glances; हरिणीसहितैः (hariṇī-sahitaiḥ) - accompanied by female deer; वने (vane) - in the forest; सशष्पकवलैः (sa-śaṣpa-kavalaiḥ) - with mouthfuls of grass; श्रीमान् (śrīmān) - the illustrious one; पथि (pathi) - on the path; दृष्टः (dṛṣṭaḥ) - was seen; द्रुतम् (drutam) - swiftly; ययौ (yayau) - went;]
(With deer with restless glances, accompanied by female deer, in the forest, with mouthfuls of grass, the illustrious one on the path was seen, swiftly went.)
He, the illustrious one, was seen on the path in the forest together with deer having restless glances, accompanied by female deer and mouthfuls of grass, and he swiftly went away. (03-150-20)
महिषैश्च वराहैश्च शार्दूलैश्च निषेवितम्। व्यपेतभीर्गिरिं शौर्याद्भीमसेनो व्यगाहत ॥०३-१५०-२१॥
mahiṣaiś ca varāhaiś ca śārdūlaiś ca niṣevitam। vyapetabhīr giriṃ śauryād bhīmaseno vyagāhata ॥03-150-21॥

(By buffaloes and by boars and by tigers frequented, free from fear mountain, from bravery, Bhīmasena entered.)
Bhīmasena, fearless because of his bravery, entered the mountain frequented by buffaloes, boars, and tigers. (03-150-21)
कुसुमानतशाखैश्च ताम्प्रपल्लवकोमलैः। याच्यमान इवारण्ये द्रुमैर्मारुतकम्पितैः ॥०३-१५०-२२॥
kusumānataśākhaiś ca tāṁ prapallavakomalaiḥ। yācyamāna ivāraṇye drumair mārutakampitaiḥ ॥03-150-22॥
[कुसुम-अनत-शाखैः (kusuma-anata-śākhaiḥ) - with branches bent by flowers; च (ca) - and; ताम् (tām) - her; प्रपल्लव-कोमलैः (prapallava-komalaiḥ) - with very tender leaves; याच्यमानः (yācyamānaḥ) - being begged; इव (iva) - as if; अरण्ये (araṇye) - in the forest; द्रुमैः (drumaiḥ) - by trees; मारुत-कम्पितैः (māruta-kampitaiḥ) - shaken by the wind;]

Her, with branches bent by flowers and tender new leaves, appeared as though being begged for in the forest by wind-shaken trees. (03-150-22)
कृतपद्माञ्जलिपुटा मत्तषट्पदसेविताः। प्रियतीर्थवना मार्गे पद्मिनीः समतिक्रमन् ॥०३-१५०-२३॥
kṛtapadmāñjalipuṭā mattaṣaṭpadasevitāḥ। priyatīrthavanā mārge padminīḥ samatikraman ॥03-150-23॥

With palms joined in lotus-like reverence, and accompanied by buzzing intoxicated bees, they passed over the lotus ponds on the way to their beloved sacred groves. (03-150-23)
सज्जमानमनोदृष्टिः फुल्लेषु गिरिसानुषु। द्रौपदीवाक्यपाथेयो भीमः शीघ्रतरं ययौ ॥०३-१५०-२४॥
sajjamāna-manodṛṣṭiḥ phulleṣu girisānuṣu। draupadī-vākya-pātheyaḥ bhīmaḥ śīghrataraṃ yayau ॥03-150-24॥
[सज्जमानमनोदृष्टिः (sajjamāna-manodṛṣṭiḥ) - with prepared mental vision; फुल्लेषु (phulleṣu) - among the blooming (flowers); गिरिसानुषु (girisānuṣu) - on the mountain peaks; द्रौपदीवाक्यपाथेयो (draupadī-vākya-pātheyaḥ) - with Draupadī's words as provision; भीमः (bhīmaḥ) - Bhīma; शीघ्रतरं (śīghrataraṃ) - more swiftly; ययौ (yayau) - he went;]

Bhīma, his mind focused and with Draupadī's words as his encouragement, proceeded even more swiftly among the blooming flowers on the mountain peaks. (03-150-24)
परिवृत्तेऽहनि ततः प्रकीर्णहरिणे वने। काञ्चनैर्विमलैः पद्मैर्ददर्श विपुलां नदीम् ॥०३-१५०-२५॥
parivṛtte'hani tataḥ prakīrṇa-hariṇe vane। kāñcanaiḥ vimalaiḥ padmaiḥ dadarśa vipulāṃ nadīm॥03-150-25॥

(Having turned, day then in the deer-strewn forest, with golden pure lotuses, he saw a vast river.)
When the day had turned, then, in the forest covered with deer, he saw a vast river filled with spotless golden lotuses. (03-150-25)
मत्तकारण्डवयुतां चक्रवाकोपशोभिताम्। रचितामिव तस्याद्रेर्मालां विमलपङ्कजाम् ॥०३-१५०-२६॥
mattakāraṇḍavayutāṃ cakravākopaśobhitām। racitāmiva tasyādreḥmālāṃ vimalapaṅkajām ॥03-150-26॥

tasyāṁ nadyāṁ mahāsattvaḥ saugandhikavanaṁ mahat। apaśyat prītijananaṁ bālārkasadṛśadyuti ॥03-150-27॥
[तस्याꣳ (tasyāṁ) - in that (feminine, here: river); नद्याꣳ (nadyāṁ) - river (locative); महासत्त्वः (mahāsattvaḥ) - the great being; सौगन्धिकवनं (saugandhikavanaṁ) - Saugandhika-forest; महत् (mahat) - great; अपश्यत् (apaśyat) - he saw; प्रीतिजननं (prītijananam) - giving rise to joy; बालार्कसदृशद्युति (bālārkasadṛśadyuti) - with splendor resembling the rising sun;]
(In that river, the great being saw the great Saugandhika forest, giving rise to joy, with splendor like the rising sun.)

तद्दृष्ट्वा लब्धकामः स मनसा पाण्डुनन्दनः। वनवासपरिक्लिष्टां जगाम मनसा प्रियाम् ॥०३-१५०-२८॥
tad dṛṣṭvā labdhakāmaḥ sa manasā pāṇḍunandanaḥ। vanavāsaparikliṣṭāṃ jagāma manasā priyām॥03-150-28॥
[तत् (tad) - that; दृष्ट्वा (dṛṣṭvā) - having seen; लब्धकामः (labdhakāmaḥ) - having obtained his desire; स (sa) - he; मनसा (manasā) - by (his) mind; पाण्डुनन्दनः (pāṇḍunandanaḥ) - the son of Pāṇḍu; वनवासपरिक्लिष्टाम् (vanavāsaparikliṣṭām) - afflicted by dwelling in the forest; जगाम (jagāma) - went; मनसा (manasā) - with (his) mind; प्रियाम् (priyām) - beloved (woman);]
(That having seen, desire obtained, he by mind, the son of Pāṇḍu, afflicted by dwelling in the forest, went by (his) mind to (his) beloved.)
Seeing that and having achieved his desire, the son of Pāṇḍu, with his mind, went to his beloved who was afflicted by the hardship of living in the forest. (03-150-28)
