कर्णस्य वचनं श्रुत्वा राजा दुर्योधनस्तदा। हृष्टो भूत्वा पुनर्दीन इदं वचनमब्रवीत् ॥०३-२२७-१॥
karṇasya vacanaṃ śrutvā rājā duryodhanas tadā। hṛṣṭo bhūtvā punar dīna idaṃ vacanam abravīt ॥03-227-1॥
[कर्णस्य (karṇasya) - of Karṇa; वचनं (vacanam) - speech; श्रुत्वा (śrutvā) - having heard; राजा (rājā) - the king; दुर्योधनः (duryodhanaḥ) - Duryodhana; तदा (tadā) - then; हृष्टः (hṛṣṭaḥ) - glad; भूत्वा (bhūtvā) - having become; पुनः (punar) - again; दीनः (dīnaḥ) - sorrowful; इदं (idaṃ) - this; वचनम् (vacanam) - speech; अब्रवीत् (abravīt) - spoke;]
(Having heard Karṇa's speech, King Duryodhana then, having become glad, again sorrowful, spoke this speech.)
When he heard Karṇa's words, King Duryodhana first became gladdened, but then again sorrowful, and spoke these words. (03-227-1)
ब्रवीषि यदिदं कर्ण सर्वं मे मनसि स्थितम्। न त्वभ्यनुज्ञां लप्स्यामि गमने यत्र पाण्डवाः ॥०३-२२७-२॥
bravīṣi yad idaṃ karṇa sarvaṃ me manasi sthitam। na tv abhyanujñāṃ lapsyāmi gamane yatra pāṇḍavāḥ ॥03-227-2॥
[ब्रवीषि (bravīṣi) - you speak; यत् (yat) - which; इदं (idaṃ) - this; कर्ण (karṇa) - O Karṇa; सर्वं (sarvaṃ) - all; मे (me) - to me; मनसि (manasi) - in (my) mind; स्थितम् (sthitam) - is established; न (na) - not; तु (tu) - but; अभ्यनुज्ञां (abhyanujñāṃ) - permission; लप्स्यामि (lapsyāmi) - I shall obtain; गमने (gamane) - for going; यत्र (yatra) - where; पाण्डवाः (pāṇḍavāḥ) - the Pāṇḍavas;]
(You speak, which this, O Karṇa, all to me in (my) mind is established. Not but permission I shall obtain for going where the Pāṇḍavas (are).)
O Karṇa, whatever you have said, all of it is fixed in my mind. But I will not obtain permission to go where the Pāṇḍavas are. (03-227-2)
परिदेवति तान्वीरान्धृतराष्ट्रो महीपतिः। मन्यतेऽभ्यधिकांश्चापि तपोयोगेन पाण्डवान् ॥०३-२२७-३॥
paridevati tānvīrāndhṛtarāṣṭro mahīpatiḥ। manyate'bhyaḍhikāṁścāpi tapoyogena pāṇḍavān ॥03-227-3॥
[परिदेवति (paridevati) - he laments; तान् (tān) - them; वीरान् (vīrān) - heroes; धृतराष्ट्रः (dhṛtarāṣṭraḥ) - Dhritarashtra; महीपतिः (mahīpatiḥ) - king; मन्यते (manyate) - he considers; अभ्यधिकान् (abhyadhikān) - greater; च (ca) - and; अपि (api) - also; तपोयोगेन (tapoyogena) - by the practice of austerity; पाण्डवान् (pāṇḍavān) - the Pāṇḍavas;]
(The king Dhritarashtra laments those heroes. By the practice of austerity, he also considers the Pāṇḍavas as greater.)
King Dhritarashtra mourns those heroes and, due to the practice of austerity, considers the Pāṇḍavas to be even greater. (03-227-3)
अथ वाप्यनुबुध्येत नृपोऽस्माकं चिकीर्षितम्। एवमप्यायतिं रक्षन्नाभ्यनुज्ञातुमर्हति ॥०३-२२७-४॥
atha vāpy anubudhyeta nṛpo'smākaṃ cikīrṣitam। evam apy āyatiṃ rakṣann abhyanujñātum arhati॥03-227-4॥
[अथ (atha) - now; then; वा (vā) - or; अपि (api) - also; अनुबुध्येत (anubudhyeta) - might understand; might comprehend; नृपः (nṛpaḥ) - king; अस्माकम् (asmākam) - our; चिकीर्षितम् (cikīrṣitam) - desired to be done; intention; एवम् (evam) - thus; so; अपि (api) - even; आयतिम् (āyatim) - future; consequence; रक्षन् (rakṣan) - protecting; guarding; अभ्यनुज्ञातुम् (abhyanujñātum) - to permit; to allow; अर्हति (arhati) - is worthy; ought;]
(Now or also might understand the king our intention. Thus even the future while protecting he ought to permit.)
Now, or if the king also understands our intention, then even while safeguarding the future he ought to grant permission. (03-227-4)
न हि द्वैतवने किञ्चिद्विद्यतेऽन्यत्प्रयोजनम्। उत्सादनमृते तेषां वनस्थानां मम द्विषाम् ॥०३-२२७-५॥
na hi dvaitavane kiñcid vidyate'nyat prayojanam. utsādanamṛte teṣāṃ vanasthānāṃ mama dviṣām ॥03-227-5॥
[न (na) - not; हि (hi) - indeed; द्वैतवने (dvaitavane) - in the forest of Dvaita; किञ्चित् (kiñcit) - anything; विद्यते (vidyate) - exists; अन्यत् (anyat) - other; प्रयोजनम् (prayojanam) - purpose; उत्सादनम् (utsādanam) - destruction; ऋते (ṛte) - except; तेषाम् (teṣām) - of them; वनस्थानाम् (vanasthānām) - living in the forest; मम (mama) - my; द्विषाम् (dviṣām) - enemies;]
(Not indeed in the forest of Dvaita anything exists, other purpose except destruction of them, of those living in the forest, my enemies.)
Indeed, in the Dvaita forest, there is no purpose whatsoever other than the destruction of my enemies who dwell in the forest. (03-227-5)
जानासि हि यथा क्षत्ता द्यूतकाल उपस्थिते। अब्रवीद्यच्च मां त्वां च सौबलं च वचस्तदा ॥०३-२२७-६॥
jānāsi hi yathā kṣattā dyūtakāla upasthite। abravīdyacca māṃ tvāṃ ca saubalaṃ ca vacastadā॥03-227-6॥
[जानासि (jānāsi) - you know; हि (hi) - indeed; यथा (yathā) - as; क्षत्ता (kṣattā) - the charioteer (Vidura, proper noun); द्यूतकाल (dyūtakāla) - the time of gambling; उपस्थिते (upasthite) - when present; अब्रवीत् (abravīt) - said; यच्च (yacca) - and what; माम् (mām) - to me; त्वाम् (tvām) - to you; च (ca) - and; सौबलम् (saubalam) - to Saubala (King Śakuni, proper noun); च (ca) - and; वचः (vacaḥ) - word; तदा (tadā) - then;]
(You know indeed as the charioteer, at the time of gambling being present, said—and what—to me, to you and to Saubala—word—then.)
You know well how the charioteer (Vidura), when the gambling took place, said those words to me, to you, and to Saubala (Śakuni) at that time. (03-227-6)
तानि पूर्वाणि वाक्यानि यच्चान्यत्परिदेवितम्। विचिन्त्य नाधिगच्छामि गमनायेतराय वा ॥०३-२२७-७॥
tāni pūrvāṇi vākyāni yac cānyat paridevitam। vicintya nādhigacchāmi gamanāya itarāya vā॥03-227-7॥
[तानि (tāni) - those (plural neuter); पूर्वाणि (pūrvāṇi) - former; earlier; previous; those; (plural neuter); वाक्यानि (vākyāni) - statements; sentences; utterances; यत् (yat) - which; what; that which; च (ca) - and; अन्यत् (anyat) - other; different; else; परिदेवितम् (paridevitam) - lamentation; expression of distress; विचिन्त्य (vicintya) - considering; reflecting upon; न (na) - not; अधिगच्छामि (adhigacchāmi) - I reach; I attain; I find; गमनाय (gamanāya) - for going; for departure; इतराय (itarāya) - to another; to something else; वा (vā) - or;]
(Those former utterances, and whatever other lamentation, considering (them), I do not obtain for departure or for another.)
Having reflected on those earlier utterances and all other lamentations, I do not find any way to go or to do otherwise. (3-227-7)
ममापि हि महान्हर्षो यदहं भीमफल्गुनौ। क्लिष्टावरण्ये पश्येयं कृष्णया सहिताविति ॥०३-२२७-८॥
mamāpi hi mahān harṣo yad ahaṃ bhīmaphalgunau। kliṣṭāvaraṇye paśyeyaṃ kṛṣṇayā sahitāv iti ॥03-227-8॥
[ममापि (mamāpi) - my also; हि (hi) - indeed; महान् (mahān) - great; हर्षः (harṣaḥ) - joy; यत् (yat) - that; अहं (ahaṃ) - I; भीमफल्गुनौ (bhīmaphalgunau) - Bhīma and Arjuna; क्लिष्टावरण्ये (kliṣṭāvaraṇye) - in the tormented forest; पश्येयं (paśyeyaṃ) - may see; कृष्णया (kṛṣṇayā) - with Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī); सहितौ (sahitau) - together; इति (iti) - thus;]
(My also indeed great joy that I Bhīma and Arjuna in the tormented forest may see with Kṛṣṇā together thus.)
Indeed, I too would feel great joy if I could see Bhīma and Arjuna together with Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī) in this tormented forest. (03-227-8)
न तथा प्राप्नुयां प्रीतिमवाप्य वसुधामपि। दृष्ट्वा यथा पाण्डुसुतान्वल्कलाजिनवाससः ॥०३-२२७-९॥
na tathā prāpnuyāṁ prītim avāpya vasudhām api। dṛṣṭvā yathā pāṇḍusutān valkalājinavāsasaḥ॥03-227-9॥
[न (na) - not; तथा (tathā) - thus; in that way; प्राप्नुयाम् (prāpnuyām) - may I attain; प्रीतिम् (prītim) - joy; affection; अवाप्य (avāpya) - having obtained; वसुधाम् (vasudhām) - the earth; अपि (api) - even; also; दृष्ट्वा (dṛṣṭvā) - having seen; यथा (yathā) - as; in the manner that; पाण्डुसुतान् (pāṇḍusutān) - the sons of Paṇḍu; वalkलाजिनवाससः (valkalājinavāsasaḥ) - clothed in bark and deer-skin;]
(Not thus may I attain joy, even having obtained the earth, having seen, as (I do), the sons of Paṇḍu clothed in bark and deer-skin.)
I would not attain such happiness, even if I obtained the earth, as I do when I see the sons of Paṇḍu wearing bark garments and deer-skins. (03-227-9)
किं नु स्यादधिकं तस्माद्यदहं द्रुपदात्मजाम्। द्रौपदीं कर्ण पश्येयं काषायवसनां वने ॥०३-२२७-१०॥
kiṃ nu syād adhikaṃ tasmād yad ahaṃ drupadātmajām। draupadīṃ karṇa paśyeyam kāṣāyavasanāṃ vane ॥03-227-10॥
[किं (kiṃ) - what; नु (nu) - indeed; स्यात् (syāt) - would be; अधिकं (adhikaṃ) - greater; तस्मात् (tasmāt) - than that; यत् (yat) - that which; अहम् (aham) - I; द्रुपदात्मजाम् (drupadātmajām) - daughter of Drupada; द्रौपदीं (draupadīṃ) - Draupadī; कर्ण (karṇa) - Karna; पश्येयं (paśyeyam) - may I see; काषायवसनाम् (kāṣāya-vasanām) - wearing red/bark garments; वने (vane) - in the forest;]
(What indeed would be greater than that which I, Karna, may see Draupadī, the daughter of Drupada, in the forest, wearing red garments.)
What, indeed, could be greater than if I, Karna, were to see Draupadī, the daughter of Drupada, in the forest wearing red clothes. (03-227-10)
यदि मां धर्मराजश्च भीमसेनश्च पाण्डवः। युक्तं परमया लक्ष्म्या पश्येतां जीवितं भवेत् ॥०३-२२७-११॥
yadi māṃ dharmarājaś ca bhīmasenaś ca pāṇḍavaḥ। yuktaṃ paramayā lakṣmyā paśyetāṃ jīvitaṃ bhavet ॥03-227-11॥
[यदि (yadi) - if; माम् (mām) - me; धर्मराजः (dharmarājaḥ) - Dharmarāja (Yudhiṣṭhira); च (ca) - and; भीमसेनः (bhīmasenaḥ) - Bhīmasena; च (ca) - and; पाण्डवः (pāṇḍavaḥ) - the Pāṇḍava; युक्तम् (yuktam) - endowed; परमया (paramayā) - with supreme; लक्ष्म्या (lakṣmyā) - with fortune; पश्येताम् (paśyetām) - (they two) would see; जीवितम् (jīvitam) - life; भवेत् (bhavet) - would be;]
(If me Dharmarāja and Bhīmasena, the Pāṇḍava, endowed with supreme fortune, would see, life would be.)
If Dharmarāja and Bhīmasena, the Pāṇḍava, see me endowed with supreme fortune, it would be as if life itself would continue. (03-227-11)
उपायं न तु पश्यामि येन गच्छेम तद्वनम्। यथा चाभ्यनुजानीयाद्गच्छन्तं मां महीपतिः ॥०३-२२७-१२॥
upāyaṁ na tu paśyāmi yena gacchema tadvanaṁ. yathā cābhyanujānīyādgacchantaṁ māṁ mahīpatiḥ ॥03-227-12॥
[उपायं (upāyam) - means; न (na) - not; तु (tu) - but; पश्यामि (paśyāmi) - I see; येन (yena) - by which; गच्छेम (gacchema) - we may go; तद्वनम् (tadvanam) - that forest; यथा (yathā) - in such a way; च (ca) - and; अभ्यनुजानीयात् (abhyanujānīyāt) - might permit; गच्छन्तं (gacchantam) - departing; माम् (mām) - me; महीपतिः (mahīpatiḥ) - the king;]
(Means not but I see by which we may go that forest. In such a way and might permit departing me the king (03-227-12))
But I do not see any means by which we could go to that forest, and by which the king might permit me to depart (03-227-12)
स सौबलेन सहितस्तथा दुःशासनेन च। उपायं पश्य निपुणं येन गच्छेम तद्वनम् ॥०३-२२७-१३॥
sa saubalen sahitastathā duḥśāsanena ca. upāyaṃ paśya nipuṇaṃ yena gacchema tadvanam ॥03-227-13॥
[स (sa) - he; सौबलेन (saubalena) - with Saubala (the son of Subala); सहितः (sahitaḥ) - together; तथा (tathā) - also; दुःशासनेन (duḥśāsanena) - with Duhśāsana; च (ca) - and; उपायं (upāyaṃ) - means; पश्य (paśya) - see; निपुणं (nipuṇam) - skillful; येन (yena) - by which; गच्छेम (gacchema) - we may go; तद् (tad) - that; वनम् (vanam) - forest;]
(He, together with Saubala, also with Duhśāsana and, see skillful means by which we may go to that forest.)
He, together with Saubala and with Duhśāsana, seek a skillful means by which we may go to that forest. (03-227-13)
अहमप्यद्य निश्चित्य गमनायेतराय वा। काल्यमेव गमिष्यामि समीपं पार्थिवस्य ह ॥०३-२२७-१४॥
aham apy adya niścitya gamanāya itarāya vā. kālyam eva gamiṣyāmi samīpaṃ pārthivasya ha ॥03-227-14॥
[अहम् (aham) - I; अपि (api) - also; अद्य (adya) - today; निश्चित्य (niścitya) - having decided; गमनाय (gamanāya) - for going; इतरा (itarāya) - otherwise; (for another purpose/situation); वा (vā) - or; काल्यम् (kālyam) - early (in the morning); एव (eva) - indeed; गमिष्यामि (gamiṣyāmi) - I shall go; समीपम् (samīpam) - (to the) presence; पार्थिवस्य (pārthivasya) - of the king; ह (ha) - indeed;]
(I also today, having decided, for going or for something else, early indeed I shall go to the presence of the king, indeed.)
Today also, having firmly decided, whether to go or for some other reason, I will indeed go early to the king’s presence. (03-227-14)
मयि तत्रोपविष्टे तु भीष्मे च कुरुसत्तमे। उपायो यो भवेद्दृष्टस्तं ब्रूयाः सहसौबलः ॥०३-२२७-१५॥
mayi tatropaviṣṭe tu bhīṣme ca kurusattame। upāyo yo bhaved dṛṣṭas taṃ brūyāḥ sahasaubalaḥ ॥03-227-15॥
[मयि (mayi) - in me; तत्र (tatra) - there; उपविष्टे (upaviṣṭe) - having been seated; तु (tu) - but; भीष्मे (bhīṣme) - in Bhīṣma; च (ca) - and; कुरुसत्तमे (kurusattame) - in the best of the Kurus; उपायः (upāyaḥ) - means; यः (yaḥ) - which; भावेत् (bhavet) - may be; दृष्टः (dṛṣṭaḥ) - has been seen; तं (taṃ) - that; ब्रूयाः (brūyāḥ) - you should say; सह (saha) - with; सौबलः (saubalaḥ) - the son of Subala (i.e., Śakuni);]
(In me having been seated there, but in Bhīṣma and the best of the Kurus, the means which may be seen, that you should say with Saubala (Śakuni).)
When I am seated there, and Bhīṣma, the foremost of the Kurus, is also present, you should say whatever means you perceive, together with Saubala (Śakuni). (03-227-15)
ततो भीष्मस्य राज्ञश्च निशम्य गमनं प्रति। व्यवसायं करिष्येऽहमनुनीय पितामहम् ॥०३-२२७-१६॥
tato bhīṣmasya rājñaś ca niśamya gamanaṃ prati। vyavasāyaṃ kariṣye'ham anunīya pitāmaham ॥03-227-16॥
[ततः (tataḥ) - then; भीष्मस्य (bhīṣmasya) - of Bhīṣma; राज्ञः (rājñaḥ) - of the king; च (ca) - and; निशम्य (niśamya) - having heard; गमनम् (gamanam) - departure; प्रति (prati) - towards; व्यवसायम् (vyavasāyam) - resolution; करिष्ये (kariṣye) - I will do; अहम् (aham) - I; अनुनीय (anunīya) - having taken leave of; पितामहम् (pitāmaham) - the grandsire;]
(Then, having heard of the departure of Bhīṣma and the king, I, having taken leave of the grandsire, will make my resolution.)

तथेत्युक्त्वा तु ते सर्वे जग्मुरावसथान्प्रति। व्युषितायां रजन्यां तु कर्णो राजानमभ्ययात् ॥०३-२२७-१७॥
tathety uktvā tu te sarve jagmur āvasathān prati। vyuṣitāyāṃ rajanyāṃ tu karṇo rājānam abhyayāt॥03-227-17॥
[तथा (tathā) - thus; इति (iti) - so; उक्त्वा (uktvā) - having spoken; तु (tu) - but; ते (te) - they; सर्वे (sarve) - all; जग्मुः (jagmuḥ) - went; आवसथान् (āvasathān) - to the lodgings; प्रति (prati) - towards; व्युषितायाम् (vyuṣitāyām) - having passed; रजन्याम् (rajanyām) - the night; तु (tu) - but; कर्णः (karṇaḥ) - Karṇa; राजानम् (rājānam) - the king; अभ्ययात् (abhyayāt) - approached;]
(Thus having spoken, but they all went towards the lodgings. Night having passed, but Karṇa approached the king.)
Having thus spoken, they all went to their lodgings. When the night had passed, Karṇa approached the king. (03-227-17)
ततो दुर्योधनं कर्णः प्रहसन्निदमब्रवीत्। उपायः परिदृष्टोऽयं तं निबोध जनेश्वर ॥०३-२२७-१८॥
tato duryodhanaṃ karṇaḥ prahasann idam abravīt। upāyaḥ paridṛṣṭo'yaṃ taṃ nibodha janeśvara ॥03-227-18॥
[ततः (tataḥ) - then; दुर्योधनम् (duryodhanam) - Duryodhana (accusative singular); कर्णः (karṇaḥ) - Karna (nominative singular); प्रहसन् (prahasan) - smiling; इदम् (idam) - this; अब्रवीत् (abravīt) - said; उपायः (upāyaḥ) - means; परिदृष्टः (paridṛṣṭaḥ) - considered; अयम् (ayam) - this; तम् (tam) - that; निबोध (nibodha) - know; जनेश्वर (janeśvara) - O lord of men;]
(Then Karna, smiling, said this to Duryodhana: This means has been considered, know that, O lord of men.)

घोषा द्वैतवने सर्वे त्वत्प्रतीक्षा नराधिप। घोषयात्रापदेशेन गमिष्यामो न संशयः ॥०३-२२७-१९॥
ghoṣā dvaitavane sarve tvatpratīkṣā narādhipa। ghoṣayātrāpadeśena gamiṣyāmo na saṃśayaḥ॥03-227-19॥
[घोषा (ghoṣā) - herds; द्वैतवने (dvaitavane) - in the Dvaita forest; सर्वे (sarve) - all; त्वत्प्रतीक्षा (tvat-pratīkṣā) - waiting for you; नराधिप (narādhipa) - O lord of men; घोषयात्रापदेशेन (ghoṣa-yātrā-apadeśena) - under the pretext of a cattle-station journey; गमिष्यामो (gamiṣyāmaḥ) - we will go; न (na) - not; संशयः (saṃśayaḥ) - doubt;]
(The herds in the Dvaita forest, all waiting for you, O lord of men; under the pretext of a cattle-station journey, we will go, not (is there) doubt.)
O king, all the herds in the Dvaita forest wait for you; under the pretext of a cattle-station journey, we shall go, without doubt. (03-227-19)
उचितं हि सदा गन्तुं घोषयात्रां विशां पते। एवं च त्वां पिता राजन्समनुज्ञातुमर्हति ॥०३-२२७-२०॥
ucitaṃ hi sadā gantuṃ ghoṣayātrāṃ viśāṃ pate। evaṃ ca tvāṃ pitā rājan samanujñātum arhati ॥03-227-20॥
[उचितं (ucitaṃ) - befitting; proper; हि (hi) - indeed; surely; सदा (sadā) - always; गन्तुं (gantuṃ) - to go; to proceed; घोषयात्रां (ghoṣayātrāṃ) - herd-expedition; movement of the cattle-farm; camp-march; विशां (viśāṃ) - of the people; of the subjects; पते (pate) - O lord; O ruler; एवं (evaṃ) - thus; in this manner; च (ca) - and; त्वां (tvāṃ) - you; thee; पिता (pitā) - father; राजन् (rājan) - O king; समनुज्ञातुम् (samanujñātum) - to permit; to grant leave; अर्हति (arhati) - is worthy; ought;]
(Befitting indeed always to go (on) the cattle-march, O lord of the people; thus and you father, O king, to grant permission is worthy.)
It is always proper to go on the cattle-camp expedition, O lord of the people; thus, O king, your father ought to grant you permission. (03-227-20)
तथा कथयमानौ तौ घोषयात्राविनिश्चयम्। गान्धारराजः शकुनिः प्रत्युवाच हसन्निव ॥०३-२२७-२१॥
tathā kathayamānau tau ghoṣayātrāviniścayam। gāndhārarājaḥ śakuniḥ pratyuvāca hasanniva॥03-227-21॥
[तथा (tathā) - thus; कथयमानौ (kathayamānau) - speaking; तौ (tau) - those two; घोषयात्राविनिश्चयम् (ghoṣayātrāviniścayam) - Ghoṣa-yātrā determination; गान्धारराजः (gāndhārarājaḥ) - king of Gandhara; शकुनिः (śakuniḥ) - Śakuni; प्रत्युवाच (pratyuvāca) - replied; हसन्निव (hasanniva) - as if laughing;]
(Thus, those two, speaking (about) the Ghoṣa-yātrā determination, the king of Gandhara, Śakuni, replied as if laughing.)
Thus, while those two were discussing the decision about the Ghoṣa-yātrā, the king of Gandhara, Śakuni, replied as if laughing. (03-227-21)
उपायोऽयं मया दृष्टो गमनाय निरामयः। अनुज्ञास्यति नो राजा चोदयिष्यति चाप्युत ॥०३-२२७-२२॥
upāyo'yaṁ mayā dṛṣṭo gamanāya nirāmayaḥ। anujñāsyati no rājā codayiṣyati cāpyuta ॥03-227-22॥

(This means, found by me, is safe for going. The king will permit us and will also urge (us), moreover.)

घोषा द्वैतवने सर्वे त्वत्प्रतीक्षा नराधिप। घोषयात्रापदेशेन गमिष्यामो न संशयः ॥०३-२२७-२३॥
ghoṣā dvaitavane sarve tvatpratīkṣā narādhipa। ghoṣayātrāpadeśena gamiṣyāmo na saṁśayaḥ ॥03-227-23॥

ततः प्रहसिताः सर्वे तेऽन्योन्यस्य तलान्ददुः। तदेव च विनिश्चित्य ददृशुः कुरुसत्तमम् ॥०३-२२७-२४॥
tataḥ prahasitāḥ sarve te'nyaunyasya talān daduḥ. tadeva ca viniścitya dadṛśuḥ kurusattamam ॥03-227-24॥
