kā tvaṃ kadambasya vinamya śākhā; mekāśrame tiṣṭhasi śobhamānā. dedīpyamānāgniśikheva naktaṃ; dodhūyamānā pavanena subhrūḥ॥03-249-1॥

अतीव रूपेण समन्विता त्वं; न चाप्यरण्येषु बिभेषि किं नु। देवी नु यक्षी यदि दानवी वा; वराप्सरा दैत्यवराङ्गना वा ॥०३-२४९-२॥

(Exceedingly by beauty endowed you; and even in forests you do not fear why indeed. Goddess indeed a yakṣī if demoness or; excellent apsaras or daitya maiden or.)
You are endowed with extraordinary beauty; even in the forests, you do not seem to fear, why indeed? Are you a goddess, or a yakṣī, or perhaps a demoness? Or are you an excellent apsaras or a maiden among the daityas? (03-249-2)
वपुष्मती वोरगराजकन्या; वनेचरी वा क्षणदाचरस्त्री। यद्येव राज्ञो वरुणस्य पत्नी; यमस्य सोमस्य धनेश्वरस्य ॥०३-२४९-३॥

(Of the Creator, of the Disposer, of Savitṛ, of the Supreme Lord, or; or of Śakra (Indra), you have arrived from the abode. Indeed, you do not just ask us who we are; and also, we do not know your master here.)
You may have arrived from the abode of the Creator, the Disposer, Savitṛ, the Supreme Lord, or even from Śakra (Indra); yet, you do not in fact ask us who we are, nor do we even know your master here. (03-249-4)
वयं हि मानं तव वर्धयन्तः; पृच्छाम भद्रे प्रभवं प्रभुं च। आचक्ष्व बन्धूंश्च पतिं कुलं च; तत्त्वेन यच्चेह करोषि कार्यम् ॥०३-२४९-५॥
vayaṃ hi mānaṃ tava vardhayantaḥ; pṛcchāma bhadre prabhavaṃ prabhuṃ ca. ācakṣva bandhūṃś ca patiṃ kulaṃ ca; tattvena yac ceha karoṣi kāryam ॥03-249-5॥

अहं तु राज्ञः सुरथस्य पुत्रो; यं कोटिकाश्येति विदुर्मनुष्याः। असौ तु यस्तिष्ठति काञ्चनाङ्गे; रथे हुतोऽग्निश्चयने यथैव ॥ त्रिगर्तराजः कमलायताक्षि; क्षेमङ्करो नाम स एष वीरः ॥०३-२४९-६॥
ahaṃ tu rājñaḥ surathasya putro; yaṃ koṭikāśyeti vidurmanuṣyāḥ. asau tu yastiṣṭhati kāñcanāṅge; rathe huto'gnicchayane yathaiva ॥ trigartarājaḥ kamalāyatākṣi; kṣemaṅkaro nāma sa eṣa vīraḥ ॥03-249-6॥

(I however am the son of King Suratha, whom humans know as Koṭikāśya. But that one who stands in the golden chariot, just like the fire sacrificed on the altar, O lotus-eyed lady, is the King of Trigarta, this hero named Kṣemaṅkara.)

asmāt parastveṣa mahādhanuṣmā; nputraḥ kuṇindādhipatervariṣṭhaḥ. nirīkṣate tvāṃ vipulāyatāṃsaḥ; suvismitaḥ parvatavāsanityaḥ ॥03-249-7॥
[अस्मात् (asmāt) - from this (person); परः (paraḥ) - different; another; त्व् (tv) - but; (sandhi with eṣa); एषः (eṣaḥ) - this one; महाधनुष्मान् (mahādhanuṣmān) - great archer; पुत्रः (putraḥ) - son; कुणिन्दाधिपतेः (kuṇindādhipateḥ) - of the lord of the Kuṇindas; वरिष्ठः (variṣṭhaḥ) - the most excellent; निरीक्षते (nirīkṣate) - looks at; observes; त्वाम् (tvām) - you; विपुल-आयत-अंसः (vipulāyatāṃsaḥ) - broad and long-shouldered; सुविस्मितः (suvismitaḥ) - very astonished; greatly amazed; पर्वत-वास-नित्यः (parvatavāsanityaḥ) - one dwelling always in the mountains; mountain-dweller;]
(From this (person), another—this (one), a great archer, the most excellent son of the lord of the Kuṇindas—broad and long-shouldered, always dwelling in the mountains, greatly astonished, gazes at you.)
Beyond this person, this great archer—the foremost son of the king of the Kuṇindas—broad-shouldered, ever dwelling in the mountains, gazes at you in great wonder. (03-249-7)
असौ तु यः पुष्करिणीसमीपे; श्यामो युवा तिष्ठति दर्शनीयः। इक्ष्वाकुराज्ञः सुबलस्य पुत्रः; स एष हन्ता द्विषतां सुगात्रि ॥०३-२४९-८॥
asau tu yaḥ puṣkariṇīsamīpe; śyāmo yuvā tiṣṭhati darśanīyaḥ. ikṣvākurājñaḥ subalasya putraḥ; sa eṣa hantā dviṣatāṃ sugātri ॥03-249-8॥

(That one but who near the lotus-pond, dark-complexioned young man stands, handsome. Of Ikṣvāku king, of Subala son, he this slayer of enemies, O one with beautiful limbs.)
