(Thus, O mighty-armed one, there will be no doubt. Indeed, Duryodhana will not give the kingdom with sweetness.)

अनुवर्त्स्यति तं चापि धृतराष्ट्रः सुतप्रियः। भीष्मद्रोणौ च कार्पण्यान्मौर्ख्याद्राधेयसौबलौ ॥५-४-२॥

(But the statement of Baladeva does not fit in my knowledge. Indeed, this is the duty of a person desiring good policy first.)
However, Baladeva's statement does not align with my understanding. This is indeed the foremost duty of a person who desires good governance.
न तु वाच्यो मृदु वचो धार्तराष्ट्रः कथञ्चन। न हि मार्दवसाध्योऽसौ पापबुद्धिर्मतो मम ॥५-४-४॥
na tu vācyaḥ mṛdu vaco dhārtarāṣṭraḥ kathaṃcana। na hi mārdavasādhyo'sau pāpabuddhirmato mama ॥5-4-4॥

शल्यस्य धृष्टकेतोश्च जयत्सेनस्य चाभिभोः। केकयानां च सर्वेषां दूता गच्छन्तु शीघ्रगाः ॥५-४-८॥
śalyasya dhṛṣṭaketośca jayatsenasya cābhibhoḥ। kekayānāṃ ca sarveṣāṃ dūtā gacchantu śīghragāḥ ॥5-4-8॥

sa tu duryodhano nūnaṃ preṣayiṣyati sarvaśaḥ। pūrvābhipannāḥ santaśca bhajante pūrvacodakam ॥5-4-9॥

tattvaradhvaṃ narendrāṇāṃ pūrvameva pracodane। mahaddhi kāryaṃ voḍhavyamiti me vartate matiḥ ॥5-4-10॥
