भूतानां प्राणिनः श्रेष्ठाः प्राणिनां बुद्धिजीविनः। बुद्धिमत्सु नराः श्रेष्ठा नराणां तु द्विजातयः ॥५-६-१॥
bhūtānāṃ prāṇinaḥ śreṣṭhāḥ prāṇināṃ buddhijīvinaḥ। buddhimatsu narāḥ śreṣṭhā narāṇāṃ tu dvijātayaḥ ॥5-6-1॥

धृतराष्ट्रस्य विदिते वञ्चिताः पाण्डवाः परैः। विदुरेणानुनीतोऽपि पुत्रमेवानुवर्तते ॥५-६-५॥
dhṛtarāṣṭrasya vidite vañcitāḥ pāṇḍavāḥ paraiḥ। vidureṇānunīto'pi putramevānuvartate ॥5-6-5॥

(Vidura also will accomplish that speech of yours and will cause division among Bhishma, Drona, and Kripa.)

अमात्येषु च भिन्नेषु योधेषु विमुखेषु च। पुनरेकाग्रकरणं तेषां कर्म भविष्यति ॥५-६-१०॥
amātyeṣu ca bhinneṣu yodheṣu vimukheṣu ca। punarekāgrakaraṇaṃ teṣāṃ karma bhaviṣyati ॥5-6-10॥
[अमात्येषु (amātyeṣu) - among ministers; च (ca) - and; भिन्नेषु (bhinneṣu) - divided; योधेषु (yodheṣu) - among warriors; विमुखेषु (vimukheṣu) - disheartened; च (ca) - and; पुनः (punaḥ) - again; एकाग्रकरणं (ekāgrakaraṇam) - unification; तेषां (teṣām) - their; कर्म (karma) - duty; भविष्यति (bhaviṣyati) - will be;]
(Among ministers and divided warriors who are disheartened, their duty will be unification again.)

एतस्मिन्नन्तरे पार्थाः सुखमेकाग्रबुद्धयः। सेनाकर्म करिष्यन्ति द्रव्याणां चैव सञ्चयम् ॥५-६-११॥
etasminnantare pārthāḥ suk hamekāgrabuddhayaḥ। senākarma kariṣyanti dravyāṇāṃ caiva sañcayam ॥5-6-11॥

(In this interval, the sons of Pritha, with focused minds, will happily perform military duties and indeed the accumulation of resources.)

भिद्यमानेषु च स्वेषु लम्बमाने च वै त्वयि। न तथा ते करिष्यन्ति सेनाकर्म न संशयः ॥५-६-१२॥

(When their own are being broken and hanging indeed in you, they will not thus perform army work, no doubt.)

एतत्प्रयोजनं चात्र प्राधान्येनोपलभ्यते। सङ्गत्या धृतराष्ट्रश्च कुर्याद्धर्म्यं वचस्तव ॥५-६-१३॥
etatprayojanaṃ cātra prādhānyenopalabhyate। saṅgatyā dhṛtarāṣṭraśca kuryāddharmyaṃ vacastava ॥5-6-13॥

(And there is no fear for you from them, for you are indeed a Brahmin, a knower of the Vedas, engaged in the duty of a messenger, and especially an elder.)
