यथैव पाण्डवाः सर्वे पराक्रान्ता जिगीषवः। तथैवाभिसरास्तेषां त्यक्तात्मानो जये धृताः ॥५-५२-१॥
yathaiva pāṇḍavāḥ sarve parākrāntā jigīṣavaḥ। tathaivābhisarāsteṣāṃ tyaktātmāno jaye dhṛtāḥ ॥5-52-1॥
[यथैव (yathaiva) - just as; पाण्डवाः (pāṇḍavāḥ) - Pāṇḍavas; सर्वे (sarve) - all; पराक्रान्ता (parākrāntā) - valiant; जिगीषवः (jigīṣavaḥ) - desirous of victory; तथैव (tathaiva) - so also; अभिसराः (abhisarāḥ) - warriors; तेषां (teṣāṃ) - their; त्यक्तात्मानः (tyaktātmānaḥ) - self-sacrificing; जये (jaye) - in victory; धृताः (dhṛtāḥ) - determined;]
(Just as all the Pāṇḍavas are valiant and desirous of victory, so also are their warriors, self-sacrificing and determined in victory.)

एषा मे परमा शान्तिर्यया शाम्यति मे मनः। यदि त्वयुद्धमिष्टं वो वयं शान्त्यै यतामहे ॥५-५२-१५॥
eṣā me paramā śāntiryayā śāmyati me manaḥ। yadi tvayuddhamiṣṭaṃ vo vayaṃ śāntyai yatāmahe ॥5-52-15॥

(This is my supreme peace by which my mind ceases. However, if war is desired by you, we strive for peace.)

[न (na) - not; तु (tu) - but; नः (naḥ) - us; शिक्षमाणानाम् (śikṣamāṇānām) - of those who are learning; उपेक्षेत (upekṣeta) - should neglect; युधिष्ठिरः (yudhiṣṭhiraḥ) - Yudhishthira; जुगुप्सति (jugupsati) - despises; हि (hi) - indeed; अधर्मेण (adharmeṇa) - by unrighteousness; माम् (mām) - me; एव (eva) - only; उद्दिश्य (uddiśya) - with reference to; कारणम् (kāraṇam) - reason;]
(But Yudhishthira should not neglect us who are learning. Indeed, he despises me only with reference to unrighteousness as the reason.)
