Mahabharata - Udyoga Parva (महाभारत - उद्योगपर्वम्)

Vaiśampāyana spoke:
The words were not welcomed by Duryodhana, the son of Dhritarashtra. When everyone was silent, the kings rose up.
O great king, when all the kings had arisen on earth, the king began to inquire of Sañjaya, who was not present.
Hoping for victory, he followed the will of their sons and sought certainty for himself, others, and the Pandavas.
Dhritarashtra said:
O Gāvalgaṇa, please tell us the important and trivial matters within our army as they exist here. You are well-versed with all matters concerning the Pāṇḍavas; what among these is greater or lesser?
You, who understand the essence and see all, skilled in matters of righteousness and wealth, and certain in your knowledge, have been asked by me, O Sanjaya, to tell me everything; which of these two sides are engaged in battle here?
Sanjaya said:
I would never speak to you in private, as a jealous person might overpower you, O king. Please bring your father, who is firm in his vows, and Gandhari, the queen, O Ajamīḍha.
Both of them, who are knowledgeable in dharma, should dispel envy, O king; they are skilled and certain in their judgments. However, in their presence, I declare this: the complete opinion as expressed by Vasudeva and Arjuna.
Vaiśampāyana spoke:
Then, understanding the opinion of Sañjaya's son, the wise sage Kṛṣṇa Dvaipāyana approached and spoke:
Sanjaya requests Dhritarashtra to narrate everything as long as he is commanded, and to truthfully convey all that he knows about Vasudeva and Arjuna.
