एतच्छ्रुत्वा तु कौन्तेयः सर्वान्भ्रातॄनुपह्वरे। आहूय भरतश्रेष्ठ इदं वचनमब्रवीत् ॥५-१९५-१॥
etacchrutvā tu kaunteyaḥ sarvān bhrātṝn upahvare। āhūya bharataśreṣṭha idaṃ vacanam abravīt ॥5-195-1॥

(Having heard this, the son of Kunti called all his brothers near and said this speech, O best of the Bharatas.)
Upon hearing this, Arjuna, the son of Kunti, gathered all his brothers nearby and addressed them, saying these words, O esteemed descendant of Bharata.
धार्तराष्ट्रस्य सैन्येषु ये चारपुरुषा मम। ते प्रवृत्तिं प्रयच्छन्ति ममेमां व्युषितां निशाम् ॥५-१९५-२॥

दुर्योधनः किलापृच्छदापगेयं महाव्रतम्। केन कालेन पाण्डूनां हन्याः सैन्यमिति प्रभो ॥५-१९५-३॥

एवमुक्तो गुडाकेशः पार्थिवेन धनञ्जयः। वासुदेवमवेक्ष्येदं वचनं प्रत्यभाषत ॥५-१९५-८॥
evamukto guḍākeśaḥ pārthivena dhanañjayaḥ। vāsudevamavekṣyedaṃ vacanaṃ pratyabhāṣata ॥5-195-8॥

(All these great souls, skilled in weapons and wonderful warriors, undoubtedly, O great king, would certainly kill your force.)
O great king, there is no doubt that all these great souls, who are skilled in weapons and are wonderful warriors, would certainly destroy your army.
अपैतु ते मनस्तापो यथासत्यं ब्रवीम्यहम्। हन्यामेकरथेनाहं वासुदेवसहायवान् ॥५-१९५-१०॥
apaitu te manastāpo yathāsatyaṃ bravīmyaham। hanyāmekarathenāhaṃ vāsudevasahāyavān ॥5-195-10॥

सामरानपि लोकांस्त्रीन्सहस्थावरजङ्गमान्। भूतं भव्यं भविष्यच्च निमेषादिति मे मतिः ॥५-१९५-११॥
sāmarān api lokāṁs trīn saha sthāvara-jaṅgamān। bhūtaṁ bhavyaṁ bhaviṣyaś ca nimeṣād iti me matiḥ ॥5-195-11॥

(With gods, also the three worlds, with immovable and movable, past, present, and future, in a moment, thus is my thought.)
My belief is that in a moment, with the gods, all three worlds, both movable and immovable, past, present, and future, can be perceived.
यत्तद्घोरं पशुपतिः प्रादादस्त्रं महन्मम। कैराते द्वन्द्वयुद्धे वै तदिदं मयि वर्तते ॥५-१९५-१२॥
yattadghoraṃ paśupatiḥ prādādastraṃ mahanmama। kairāte dvandvayuddhe vai tadidaṃ mayi vartate ॥5-195-12॥
[यत् (yat) - that; तत् (tat) - that; घोरं (ghoraṃ) - terrible; पशुपतिः (paśupatiḥ) - Lord Shiva; प्रादात् (prādāt) - gave; अस्त्रं (astraṃ) - weapon; महन् (mahan) - great; मम (mama) - to me; कैराते (kairāte) - in the duel; द्वन्द्वयुद्धे (dvandvayuddhe) - duel; वै (vai) - indeed; तत् (tat) - that; इदं (idaṃ) - this; मयि (mayi) - in me; वर्तते (vartate) - exists;]
(That terrible weapon which Lord Shiva gave to me in the duel indeed exists in me.)

यद्युगान्ते पशुपतिः सर्वभूतानि संहरन्। प्रयुङ्क्ते पुरुषव्याघ्र तदिदं मयि वर्तते ॥५-१९५-१३॥
yadyugānte paśupatiḥ sarvabhūtāni saṁharan। prayuṅkte puruṣavyāghra tadidaṁ mayi vartate ॥5-195-13॥
[यत् (yat) - when; युग-अन्ते (yuga-ante) - at the end of the age; पशुपतिः (paśupatiḥ) - the lord of creatures; सर्व-भूतानि (sarva-bhūtāni) - all beings; संहरन् (saṁharan) - destroying; प्रयुङ्क्ते (prayuṅkte) - engages; पुरुष-व्याघ्र (puruṣa-vyāghra) - O tiger among men; तत् (tad) - that; इदं (idam) - this; मयि (mayi) - in me; वर्तते (vartate) - exists;]
(When, at the end of the age, the lord of creatures, destroying all beings, engages, O tiger among men, that exists in me.)
O tiger among men, when the lord of creatures destroys all beings at the end of the age, that power resides in me.
तन्न जानाति गाङ्गेयो न द्रोणो न च गौतमः। न च द्रोणसुतो राजन्कुत एव तु सूतजः ॥५-१९५-१४॥
tanna jānāti gāṅgeyo na droṇo na ca gautamaḥ। na ca droṇasuto rājankuta eva tu sūtajaḥ ॥5-195-14॥
[तत् (tat) - that; न (na) - not; जानाति (jānāti) - knows; गाङ्गेयः (gāṅgeyaḥ) - son of Ganga; न (na) - not; द्रोणः (droṇaḥ) - Drona; न (na) - not; च (ca) - and; गौतमः (gautamaḥ) - Gautama; न (na) - not; च (ca) - and; द्रोणसुतः (droṇasutaḥ) - son of Drona; राजन् (rājan) - O king; कुतः (kutaḥ) - how; एव (eva) - indeed; तु (tu) - but; सूतजः (sūtajaḥ) - son of a charioteer;]
(That, the son of Ganga does not know, nor Drona, nor Gautama. Nor does the son of Drona, O king, how indeed but the son of a charioteer.)
Neither Bhishma, the son of Ganga, nor Drona, nor Kripa knows this, O king. How then can Karna, the son of a charioteer, know it?
न तु युक्तं रणे हन्तुं दिव्यैरस्त्रैः पृथग्जनम्। आर्जवेनैव युद्धेन विजेष्यामो वयं परान् ॥५-१९५-१५॥
na tu yuktaṃ raṇe hantuṃ divyairastraiḥ pṛthagjanam। ārjavenaiva yuddhena vijeṣyāmo vayaṃ parān ॥5-195-15॥
[न (na) - not; तु (tu) - but; युक्तं (yuktaṃ) - proper; रणे (raṇe) - in battle; हन्तुं (hantuṃ) - to kill; दिव्यैरस्त्रैः (divyairastraiḥ) - with divine weapons; पृथग्जनम् (pṛthagjanam) - ordinary people; आर्जवेनैव (ārjavenaiva) - with straightforwardness only; युद्धेन (yuddhena) - with battle; विजेष्यामः (vijeṣyāmaḥ) - we will conquer; वयं (vayaṃ) - we; परान् (parān) - enemies;]
(But it is not proper to kill ordinary people in battle with divine weapons. We will conquer the enemies with straightforwardness and battle only.)
However, it is not appropriate to use divine weapons to kill ordinary people in battle. We shall overcome our enemies through straightforwardness and fair combat.
तथेमे पुरुषव्याघ्राः सहायास्तव पार्थिव। सर्वे दिव्यास्त्रविदुषः सर्वे युद्धाभिनन्दिनः ॥५-१९५-१६॥
tatheme puruṣavyāghrāḥ sahāyāstava pārthiva। sarve divyāstraviduṣaḥ sarve yuddhābhinandinaḥ ॥5-195-16॥
[तथ (tath) - thus; इमे (ime) - these; पुरुषव्याघ्राः (puruṣavyāghrāḥ) - tigers among men; सहायाः (sahāyāḥ) - helpers; तव (tava) - your; पार्थिव (pārthiva) - king; सर्वे (sarve) - all; दिव्यास्त्रविदुषः (divyāstraviduṣaḥ) - knowers of divine weapons; सर्वे (sarve) - all; युद्धाभिनन्दिनः (yuddhābhinandinaḥ) - delighters in battle;]
(Thus, these tigers among men are your helpers, O king. All are knowers of divine weapons, all are delighters in battle.)
Thus, these valiant warriors are your allies, O king. They are all skilled in divine weaponry and eager for battle.
वेदान्तावभृथस्नाताः सर्व एतेऽपराजिताः। निहन्युः समरे सेनां देवानामपि पाण्डव ॥५-१९५-१७॥
vedāntāvabhṛthasnātāḥ sarva ete'parājitāḥ। nihanyuḥ samare senāṃ devānāmapi pāṇḍava ॥5-195-17॥
[वेदान्तावभृथस्नाताः (vedāntāvabhṛthasnātāḥ) - those who have bathed after the conclusion of the Vedic rituals; सर्व (sarva) - all; एते (ete) - these; अपराजिताः (aparājitāḥ) - undefeated; निहन्युः (nihanyuḥ) - would destroy; समरे (samare) - in battle; सेनां (senāṃ) - army; देवानाम् (devānām) - of the gods; अपि (api) - even; पाण्डव (pāṇḍava) - Pāṇḍavas;]
(Those who have bathed after the conclusion of the Vedic rituals, all these undefeated ones, would destroy even the army of the gods in battle, O Pāṇḍava.)
The Pāṇḍavas, having completed the Vedic rituals and being undefeated, could defeat even the army of the gods in battle.
शिखण्डी युयुधानश्च धृष्टद्युम्नश्च पार्षतः। भीमसेनो यमौ चोभौ युधामन्यूत्तमौजसौ ॥५-१९५-१८॥
śikhaṇḍī yuyudhānaśca dhṛṣṭadyumnaśca pārṣataḥ। bhīmaseno yamau cobhau yudhāmanyuttamaujasau ॥5-195-18॥

(From anger, whom you see as a man, you, equal in splendor to Indra, quickly he does not become manifest, thus I know you, Kaurava.)
O Kaurava, I know that the man you see, who is equal in splendor to Indra, will not quickly become manifest due to anger.
