आचार्यमुपसङ्गम्य कृपं शल्यं च मारिष। सौमदत्तिं विकर्णं च अश्वत्थामानमेव च ॥६-४७-२॥

प्राहेदं वचनं काले हर्षयंस्तनयस्तव। नानाशस्त्रप्रहरणाः सर्वे शस्त्रास्त्रवेदिनः ॥६-४७-४॥

एकैकशः समर्था हि यूयं सर्वे महारथाः। पाण्डुपुत्रान्रणे हन्तुं ससैन्यान्किमु संहताः ॥६-४७-५॥

Each of you is capable, as great warriors, to defeat the sons of Pandu in battle along with their armies, especially when united.
अपर्याप्तं तदस्माकं बलं भीष्माभिरक्षितम्। पर्याप्तं त्विदमेतेषां बलं पार्थिवसत्तमाः ॥६-४७-६॥
aparyāptaṃ tadasmākaṃ balaṃ bhīṣmābhirakṣitam। paryāptaṃ tvidameteṣāṃ balaṃ pārthivasattamāḥ ॥6-47-6॥

tam anvayān maheṣvāso bhāradvājaḥ pratāpavān। kuntalaiś ca daśārṇaiś ca māgadhaiś ca viśāṃ pate ॥6-47-12॥

तेषां श्रुत्वा तु हृष्टानां कुरुवृद्धः पितामहः। सिंहनादं विनद्योच्चैः शङ्खं दध्मौ प्रतापवान् ॥६-४७-२२॥
