(Having conquered the enemies many times and having sent them to death, he went to the imperishable worlds of the virtuous, fulfilling all desires.)

तपसा ब्रह्मचर्येण श्रुतेन प्रज्ञयापि च। सन्तो यां गतिमिच्छन्ति प्राप्तस्तां तव पुत्रकः ॥७-५४-१६॥
tapasā brahmacaryeṇa śrutena prajñayāpi ca। santo yāṃ gatimicchanti prāptastāṃ tava putrakaḥ ॥7-54-16॥

(By austerity, celibacy, learning, and wisdom, the wise ones desire the state which your son has attained.)

(Mother of heroes, wife of a hero, you, with heroic father-in-law and relatives, do not grieve, O gentle lady, your son has gone to the supreme state.)

प्राप्स्यते चाप्यसौ क्षुद्रः सैन्धवो बालघातकः। अस्यावलेपस्य फलं ससुहृद्गणबान्धवः ॥७-५४-१८॥
prāpsyate cāpyasau kṣudraḥ saindhavo bālaghātakaḥ। asyāvalepasya phalaṃ sasuhṛdgaṇabāndhavaḥ ॥7-54-18॥

(When dawned, O beautiful lady, the evil-doer will not indeed release from Arjuna, even if he has entered Amaravati.)

[क्षत्रधर्मम् (kṣatradharmam) - duty of a warrior; पुरस्कृत्य (puraskṛtya) - having placed in front; गतः (gataḥ) - gone; शूरः (śūraḥ) - hero; सताम् (satām) - of the virtuous; गतिम् (gatim) - path; याम् (yām) - which; वयम् (vayam) - we; प्राप्नुयाम (prāpnuyāma) - may attain; इह (iha) - here; ये (ye) - who; च (ca) - and; अन्ये (anye) - others; शस्त्रजीविनः (śastrajīvinaḥ) - living by the sword;]
(Having placed the duty of a warrior in front, the hero has gone to the path of the virtuous, which we and other warriors living by the sword may attain here.)
