पिबन्निव शरौघांस्तान्द्रोणचापवरातिगान्। सोऽभ्यवर्तत सोदर्यान्मायया मोहयन्बलम् ॥७-१०३-२॥

(Thus surrounded, Bhima, smiling as if, O Bharata, raised the terrible mace at them, roaring like a lion, and released it with speed, crushing them, the mighty one.)

सेन्द्राशनिरिवेन्द्रेण प्रविद्धा संहतात्मना। घोषेण महता राजन्पूरयित्वेव मेदिनीम् ॥ ज्वलन्ती तेजसा भीमा त्रासयामास ते सुतान् ॥७-१०३-५॥

(That battle was very great and terrible, like the battle between gods and demons, O great king, between Drona and the great-souled Bhima.)

यदा तु विशिखैस्तीक्ष्णैर्द्रोणचापविनिःसृतैः। वध्यन्ते समरे वीराः शतशोऽथ सहस्रशः ॥७-१०३-१२॥

(Then, having alighted from the chariot and assuming speed, the Pandava, closing his eyes, O king, approached Drona on foot.)

(Just as a bull playfully receives rain, so Bhima, the tiger among men, completely took the shower of arrows.)

स वध्यमानः समरे रथं द्रोणस्य मारिष। ईषायां पाणिना गृह्य प्रचिक्षेप महाबलः ॥७-१०३-१५॥

भोजानीकमतिक्रम्य काम्बोजानां च वाहिनीम्। तथा म्लेच्छगणांश्चान्यान्बहून्युद्धविशारदान् ॥७-१०३-२२॥
