Core and Pancharatra: Bhima kills Bahlika, ten son's of Dhritarashtra, and brother of Shakuni. Yudhishthira sent the troops of the Ambashthas, Malavas, Trigartas, Shibis, Abhishahas, Shurasenas, Bahlikas, Vasatikas, Yaudheyas, Arattas, and Madrakas to the world of the dead. Then, Yudhisthira counters the attack by Drona with celestial weapons, including the Brahma.

युधिष्ठिरो भीमसेनो धृष्टद्युम्नश्च पार्षतः। युयुधानश्च संयत्ता युद्धायैव मनो दधुः ॥७-१३२-२॥

सोमदत्तः पुनः कुर्द्धो दृष्ट्वा सात्यकिमाहवे। महता शरवर्षेण छादयामास सर्वतः ॥७-१३२-३॥

(Somadatta, again angry, having seen Satyaki in battle, covered him all around with a great shower of arrows.)
Seeing Satyaki in battle, Somadatta, once again enraged, enveloped him from all sides with a massive barrage of arrows.
ततः समभवद्युद्धमतीव भयवर्धनम्। त्वदीयानां परेषां च घोरं विजयकाङ्क्षिणाम् ॥७-१३२-४॥
tataḥ samabhavadyuddhamatīva bhayavardhanam। tvadīyānāṃ pareṣāṃ ca ghoraṃ vijayakāṅkṣiṇām ॥7-132-4॥

(Then arose a battle extremely fear-increasing for both your side and the enemies, terrible for those desiring victory.)
Then a battle arose that was extremely terrifying, increasing fear among both your forces and the enemies, dreadful for those who desired victory.
दशभिः सात्वतस्यार्थे भीमो विव्याध कौरवम्। सोमदत्तोऽपि तं वीरं शतेन प्रत्यविध्यत ॥७-१३२-५॥
daśabhiḥ sātvatasyārthe bhīmo vivyādha kauravam। somadatto'pi taṃ vīraṃ śatena pratyavidhyata ॥7-132-5॥

(With ten arrows, Bhīma pierced the Kaurava for the sake of Sātvata. Somadatta also counter-pierced that hero with a hundred arrows.)
Bhīma, in support of Sātvata, struck the Kaurava with ten arrows. In response, Somadatta retaliated by hitting that hero with a hundred arrows.
सात्वतस्त्वभिसङ्क्रुद्धः पुत्राधिभिरभिप्लुतम्। वृद्धमृद्धं गुणैः सर्वैर्ययातिमिव नाहुषम् ॥७-१३२-६॥
sātvatastvabhisaṅkruddhaḥ putrādhibhirabhiplutam। vṛddhamṛddhaṃ guṇaiḥ sarvairyayātimiva nāhuṣam ॥7-132-6॥

(But the Sātvatas, enraged, overwhelmed by sons and others, like the old and prosperous Yayāti with all qualities, Nahusha.)
The Sātvatas, though prosperous and possessing all qualities, were overwhelmed by their sons and others, much like the aged Yayāti was by Nahusha.
विव्याध दशभिस्तीक्ष्णैः शरैर्वज्रनिपातिभिः। शक्त्या चैनमथाहत्य पुनर्विव्याध सप्तभिः ॥७-१३२-७॥
vivyādha daśabhistīkṣṇaiḥ śarairvajranipātibhiḥ। śaktyā cainamathāhatya punarvivyādha saptabhiḥ ॥7-132-7॥

(He pierced with ten sharp arrows that strike like thunderbolts. Then, having struck him with a spear, he again pierced with seven.)
He shot ten sharp arrows that struck like thunderbolts. Then, after hitting him with a spear, he shot seven more arrows.
ततस्तु सात्यकेरर्थे भीमसेनो नवं दृढम्। मुमोच परिघं घोरं सोमदत्तस्य मूर्धनि ॥७-१३२-८॥
tatastu sātyakerarthe bhīmaseno navaṃ dṛḍham। mumoca parighaṃ ghoraṃ somadattasya mūrdhani ॥7-132-8॥

(Then indeed, for the sake of Satyaki, Bhimasena released a new, strong, and terrible club on the head of Somadatta.)

सात्यकिश्चाग्निसङ्काशं मुमोच शरमुत्तमम्। सोमदत्तोरसि क्रुद्धः सुपत्रं निशितं युधि ॥७-१३२-९॥
sātyakiścāgnisaṅkāśaṃ mumoca śaramuttamam। somadattorasi kruddhaḥ supatraṃ niśitaṃ yudhi ॥7-132-9॥

(Simultaneously, then, the terrible club and arrows fell on the body of Somadatta; he, the great chariot-warrior, fell.)

व्यामोहिते तु तनये बाह्लीकः समुपाद्रवत्। विसृजञ्शरवर्षाणि कालवर्षीव तोयदः ॥७-१३२-११॥

भीमोऽथ सात्वतस्यार्थे बाह्लीकं नवभिः शरैः। पीडयन्वै महात्मानं विव्याध रणमूर्धनि ॥७-१३२-१२॥

प्रातिपीयस्तु सङ्क्रुद्धः शक्तिं भीमस्य वक्षसि। निचखान महाबाहुः पुरंदर इवाशनिम् ॥७-१३२-१३॥
prātipīyastu saṅkruddhaḥ śaktiṃ bhīmasya vakṣasi। nicakhāna mahābāhuḥ puraṃdara ivāśanim ॥7-132-13॥

(But the son of Pratipa, enraged, pierced Bhima's chest with a spear, like Indra with a thunderbolt.)
Enraged, the mighty-armed son of Pratipa struck Bhima's chest with his spear, resembling Indra wielding a thunderbolt.
स तयाभिहतो भीमश्चकम्पे च मुमोह च। प्राप्य चेतश्च बलवान्गदामस्मै ससर्ज ह ॥७-१३२-१४॥
sa tayābhihato bhīmaścakampe ca mumoha ca। prāpya cetaśca balavāngadāmasmai sasarja ha ॥7-132-14॥

(He, struck by her, Bhima trembled and became unconscious. Regaining consciousness, the strong one hurled the mace at him indeed.)

सा पाण्डवेन प्रहिता बाह्लीकस्य शिरोऽहरत्। स पपात हतः पृथ्व्यां वज्राहत इवाद्रिराट् ॥७-१३२-१५॥

(She, dispatched by the Pandava, took away the head of Bahlika. He fell, slain on the earth, like a mountain king struck by a thunderbolt.)

तस्मिन्विनिहते वीरे बाह्लीके पुरुषर्षभे। पुत्रास्तेऽभ्यर्दयन्भीमं दश दाशरथेः समाः ॥७-१३२-१६॥
tasmin vinihate vīre bāhlīke puruṣarṣabhe। putrās te'bhyardayan bhīmaṃ daśa dāśaratheḥ samāḥ ॥7-132-16॥

(In that, the hero Bahlika, the bull among men, was slain. The ten sons of Dasaratha attacked Bhima.)

नाराचैर्दशभिर्भीमस्तान्निहत्य तवात्मजान्। कर्णस्य दयितं पुत्रं वृषसेनमवाकिरत् ॥७-१३२-१७॥

(Not tolerating the killing of the great chariot-warrior Shatachandra, the heroic brothers of Shakuni, Gajaksha, Sharabha, and Vibhu, having rushed with sharp arrows, struck Bhimasena.)
The heroic brothers of Shakuni, Gajaksha, Sharabha, and Vibhu, unable to tolerate the death of the great warrior Shatachandra, rushed forward and attacked Bhimasena with sharp arrows.
स तुद्यमानो नाराचैर्वृष्टिवेगैरिवर्षभः। जघान पञ्चभिर्बाणैः पञ्चैवातिबलो रथान् ॥ तान्दृष्ट्वा निहतान्वीरान्विचेलुर्नृपसत्तमाः ॥७-१३२-२१॥
sa tudyamāno nārācairvṛṣṭivegairivaṛṣabhaḥ। jaghāna pañcabhirbāṇaiḥ pañcaivātibalo rathān ॥ tāndṛṣṭvā nihatānvīrānvicelurnṛpasattamāḥ ॥7-132-21॥
