Pancharatra and Core: The mighty son of Bhimasena threw the unconscious head of Alayudha in front of Duryodhana.

samprekṣya samare bhīmaṃ rakṣasā grastamantikāt। vāsudevo'bravīdvākyaṃ ghaṭotkacamidaṃ tadā ॥7-153-1॥

पश्य भीमं महाबाहो रक्षसा ग्रस्तमन्तिकात्। पश्यतां सर्वसैन्यानां तव चैव महाद्युते ॥७-१५३-२॥

स कर्णं त्वं समुत्सृज्य राक्षसेन्द्रमलायुधम्। जहि क्षिप्रं महाबाहो पश्चात्कर्णं वधिष्यसि ॥७-१५३-३॥

स वार्ष्णेयवचः श्रुत्वा कर्णमुत्सृज्य वीर्यवान्। युयुधे राक्षसेन्द्रेण बकभ्रात्रा घटोत्कचः ॥ तयोः सुतुमुलं युद्धं बभूव निशि रक्षसोः ॥७-१५३-४॥
sa vārṣṇeyavacaḥ śrutvā karṇamutsṛjya vīryavān। yuyudhe rākṣasendreṇa bakabhrātrā ghaṭotkacaḥ ॥ tayoḥ sutumulaṃ yuddhaṃ babhūva niśi rakṣasoḥ ॥7-153-4॥

(He, having heard the words of Krishna, leaving Karna, the mighty Ghatotkacha fought with the lord of demons, the brother of Baka. A very fierce battle occurred at night between the demons.)
Upon hearing Krishna's words, the mighty Ghatotkacha left Karna and engaged in a fierce battle with the demon lord, Baka's brother, during the night.
अलायुधस्य योधांस्तु राक्षसान्भीमदर्शनान्। वेगेनापततः शूरान्प्रगृहीतशरासनान् ॥७-१५३-५॥

आत्तायुधः सुसङ्क्रुद्धो युयुधानो महारथः। नकुलः सहदेवश्च चिच्छिदुर्निशितैः शरैः ॥७-१५३-६॥

(Armed with weapons and very angry, Yuyudhana, the great chariot-warrior, Nakula, and Sahadeva cut with sharp arrows.)

सर्वांश्च समरे राजन्किरीटी क्षत्रियर्षभान्। परिचिक्षेप बीभत्सुः सर्वतः प्रक्षिपञ्शरान् ॥७-१५३-७॥

(Seeing that illusion created by the demon, Hidimba jumped upwards and killed that illusion with illusion.)

(He, having observed the defeated illusion, the illusionist indeed by illusion, certainly released a very intense stone rain on Ghatotkacha.)

अश्मवर्षं स तद्घोरं शरवर्षेण वीर्यवान्। दिशो विध्वंसयामास तदद्भुतमिवाभवत् ॥७-१५३-२०॥
aśmavarṣaṃ sa tadghoraṃ śaravarṣeṇa vīryavān। diśo vidhvaṃsayāmāsa tadadbhutamivābhavat ॥7-153-20॥
