अवध्यास्ते नरैरन्यैरपि वा देवदानवैः। परस्परकृतं नाशमतः प्राप्स्यन्ति यादवाः ॥११-२५-४५॥
avadhyās te narair anyair api vā devadānavaiḥ। parasparakṛtaṃ nāśam ataḥ prāpsyanti yādavāḥ ॥11-25-45॥
[अवध्याः (avadhyāḥ) - not to be slain; ते (te) - they; नरैः (naraiḥ) - by men; अन्यैः (anyaiḥ) - by others; अपि (api) - even; वा (vā) - or; देवदानवैः (devadānavaiḥ) - by gods and demons; परस्परकृतम् (parasparakṛtam) - mutually done; नाशम् (nāśam) - destruction; अतः (ataḥ) - therefore; प्राप्स्यन्ति (prāpsyanti) - will obtain; यादवाः (yādavāḥ) - the Yādavas;]
(They are not to be slain by men, or even by others, or by gods and demons; therefore, the Yādavas will obtain destruction done mutually.)
The Yādavas cannot be slain by men, others, or even by gods and demons; therefore, they will bring about their own destruction by fighting among themselves.
इत्युक्तवति दाशार्हे पाण्डवास्त्रस्तचेतसः। बभूवुर्भृशसंविग्ना निराशाश्चापि जीविते ॥११-२५-४६॥
ity-uktavati dāśārhe pāṇḍavās trasta-cetasaḥ। babhūvur bhṛśa-saṃvignā nirāśāś cāpi jīvite ॥11-25-46॥
[इति (iti) - thus; उक्तवति (uktavati) - having spoken; दाशार्हे (dāśārhe) - in the descendant of Dasharha (Krishna); पाण्डवाः (pāṇḍavāḥ) - the Pandavas; त्रस्त (trasta) - frightened; चेतसः (cetasaḥ) - in mind; बभूवुः (babhūvuḥ) - became; भृश (bhṛśa) - greatly; संविग्नाः (saṃvignāḥ) - disturbed; निराशाः (nirāśāḥ) - despairing; च (ca) - and; अपि (api) - also; जीविते (jīvite) - in life;]
(Thus, when the descendant of Dasharha (Krishna) had spoken, the Pandavas, frightened in mind, became greatly disturbed and also despairing of life.)
When Krishna (the descendant of Dasharha) had spoken thus, the Pandavas became deeply agitated, their minds filled with fear, and they lost all hope for their lives.
