śrutvaitannārado vākyaṃ naranārāyaṇeritām। atyantabhaktimān deve ekāntitvam upeyivān ॥12-334-1॥

तावपि ख्याततपसौ नरनारायणावृषी। तस्मिन्नेवाश्रमे रम्ये तेपतुस्तप उत्तमम् ॥१२-३३४-३॥
tāv api khyāta-tapasau nara-nārāyaṇā-vṛṣī। tasminn eva āśrame ramye tepatus tapa uttamam ॥12-334-3॥
[तौ (tau) - those two; अपि (api) - also; ख्याततपसौ (khyāta-tapasau) - renowned-for-austerity; नरनारायणावृषी (nara-nārāyaṇau ṛṣī) - Nara and Nārāyaṇa sages; तस्मिन् (tasmin) - in that; एव (eva) - indeed; आश्रमे (āśrame) - hermitage; रम्ये (ramye) - beautiful; तेपतुः (tepatuḥ) - performed austerity; तप (tapa) - austerity; उत्तमम् (uttamam) - supreme;]
(Those two also, renowned for austerity, the sages Nara and Nārāyaṇa, in that very beautiful hermitage, performed supreme austerity.)
Those two, the famous ascetics Nara and Nārāyaṇa, also performed the highest austerities in that same beautiful hermitage. (12-334-3)
त्वमप्यमितविक्रान्तः पाण्डवानां कुलोद्वहः। पावितात्माद्य संवृत्तः श्रुत्वेमामादितः कथाम् ॥१२-३३४-४॥
tvam apy amita-vikrāntaḥ pāṇḍavānāṃ kulodvahaḥ। pāvitātmā adya saṃvṛttaḥ śrutvā imām āditaḥ kathām ॥12-334-4॥
[त्वम् (tvam) - you; अपि (api) - also; अमितविक्रान्तः (amita-vikrāntaḥ) - of immeasurable prowess; पाण्डवानाम् (pāṇḍavānām) - of the Pāṇḍavas; कुलोद्वहः (kulodvahaḥ) - the uplifter of the family; पावितात्मा (pāvitātmā) - purified soul; अद्य (adya) - today; संवृत्तः (saṃvṛttaḥ) - become; श्रुत्वा (śrutvā) - having heard; इमाम् (imām) - this; आदितः (āditaḥ) - from the beginning; कथाम् (kathām) - story;]
(You also, of immeasurable prowess, the uplifter of the Pāṇḍavas' family, purified soul, today have become (so) having heard this story from the beginning.)
You too, of immeasurable prowess and the glory of the Pāṇḍava family, have today become purified in soul, having listened to this story from the beginning. (12-334-4)
नैव तस्य परो लोको नायं पार्थिवसत्तम। कर्मणा मनसा वाचा यो द्विष्याद्विष्णुमव्ययम् ॥१२-३३४-५॥
naiva tasya paro loko nāyaṃ pārthivasattama। karmaṇā manasā vācā yo dviṣyād viṣṇum avyayam ॥12-334-5॥

(Not indeed for him is the higher world, nor this, O best among kings; by action, by mind, by speech, who would hate Viṣṇu, the imperishable. (12-334-5))
O best of kings, for one who hates the imperishable Viṣṇu by action, mind, or speech, neither the higher world nor this world exists for him. (12-334-5)
मज्जन्ति पितरस्तस्य नरके शाश्वतीः समाः। यो द्विष्याद्विबुधश्रेष्ठं देवं नारायणं हरिम् ॥१२-३३४-६॥
majjanti pitaras tasya narake śāśvatīḥ samāḥ। yo dviṣyād vibudhaśreṣṭhaṃ devaṃ nārāyaṇaṃ harim ॥12-334-6॥

कथं नाम भवेद्द्वेष्य आत्मा लोकस्य कस्यचित्। आत्मा हि पुरुषव्याघ्र ज्ञेयो विष्णुरिति स्थितिः ॥१२-३३४-७॥
kathaṁ nāma bhaved dveṣya ātmā lokasya kasyacit। ātmā hi puruṣavyāghra jñeyo viṣṇur iti sthitiḥ ॥12-334-7॥

(How indeed could the self be hateful to anyone in the world? The self indeed, O tiger among men, is to be known as Viṣṇu; thus is the state.)
How could the self ever be hateful to anyone in the world? O tiger among men, the self is to be understood as Viṣṇu; this is the established truth. (12-334-7)
य एष गुरुरस्माकमृषिर्गन्धवतीसुतः। तेनैतत्कथितं तात माहात्म्यं परमात्मनः ॥ तस्माच्छ्रुतं मया चेदं कथितं च तवानघ ॥१२-३३४-८॥
ya eṣa gururasmākam ṛṣir gandhavatī-sutaḥ। tena etat kathitaṃ tāta māhātmyaṃ paramātmanaḥ॥ tasmāt śrutaṃ mayā ca idaṃ kathitaṃ ca tava anagha॥12-334-8॥

(Who this teacher of ours, the sage, son of Gandhavatī; by him this was told, dear one, the greatness of the Supreme Self. Therefore, heard by me and this told also to you, sinless one. (12-334-8))

vartatāṃ te mahāyajño yathā saṅkalpitastvayā। saṅkalpitāśvamedhastvaṃ śrutadharmaśca tattvataḥ ॥12-334-10॥
[वर्तताम् (vartatām) - let it proceed; let it continue; ते (te) - your; for you; महायज्ञः (mahāyajñaḥ) - great sacrifice; यथा (yathā) - as; in the manner; सङ्कल्पितः (saṅkalpitaḥ) - determined; resolved; त्वया (tvayā) - by you; सङ्कल्पितः (saṅkalpitaḥ) - determined; resolved; अश्वमेधः (aśvamedhaḥ) - horse sacrifice; त्वम् (tvam) - you; श्रुतधर्मः (śrutadharmaḥ) - one whose dharma is heard; follower of scriptural law; च (ca) - and; तत्त्वतः (tattvataḥ) - truly; in reality;]
