duryodhana tava prajñā na samyagiti me matiḥ। na hyupāyena te śakyāḥ pāṇḍavāḥ kurunandana ॥1-194-1॥
[दुर्योधन (duryodhana) - Duryodhana; तव (tava) - your; प्रज्ञा (prajñā) - wisdom; न (na) - not; सम्यक् (samyak) - properly; इति (iti) - thus; मे (me) - my; मतिः (matiḥ) - opinion; न (na) - not; हि (hi) - indeed; उपायेन (upāyena) - by means; ते (te) - your; शक्याः (śakyāḥ) - possible; पाण्डवाः (pāṇḍavāḥ) - Pāṇḍavas; कुरुनन्दन (kurunandana) - O delight of the Kurus;]
(Duryodhana, your wisdom is not proper, thus is my opinion. Indeed, by means, the Pāṇḍavas are not possible for you, O delight of the Kurus.)
Duryodhana, I believe your judgment is not correct. O delight of the Kurus, the Pāṇḍavas cannot be overcome by your strategies.
पूर्वमेव हि ते सूक्ष्मैरुपायैर्यतितास्त्वया। निग्रहीतुं यदा वीर शकिता न तदा त्वया ॥१-१९४-२॥
pūrvameva hi te sūkṣmairupāyairyatitāstvayā। nigrahītuṃ yadā vīra śakitā na tadā tvayā॥1-194-2॥
[पूर्वम् (pūrvam) - before; previously; एव (eva) - indeed; certainly; हि (hi) - for; because; ते (te) - by you; सूक्ष्मैः (sūkṣmaiḥ) - by subtle; उपायैः (upāyaiḥ) - means; methods; यतिताः (yatitāḥ) - efforts; attempts; त्वया (tvayā) - by you; निग्रहीतुं (nigrahītuṃ) - to restrain; to subdue; यदा (yadā) - when; वीर (vīra) - hero; brave one; शकिता (śakitā) - was able; could; न (na) - not; तदा (tadā) - then; त्वया (tvayā) - by you;]
(Indeed, before, by you, with subtle means, efforts were made; O hero, when to restrain (them) you were not able, then (also) by you.)
Indeed, previously you made efforts with subtle means; O hero, when you were not able to restrain (them), then also it was by you.
इहैव वर्तमानास्ते समीपे तव पार्थिव। अजातपक्षाः शिशवः शकिता नैव बाधितुम् ॥१-१९४-३॥
ihaiva vartamānās te samīpe tava pārthiva। ajātapakṣāḥ śiśavaḥ śakitā naiva bādhitum ॥1-194-3॥
[इहैव (ihaiva) - here itself; वर्तमानाः (vartamānāḥ) - being present; ते (te) - they; समीपे (samīpe) - near; तव (tava) - your; पार्थिव (pārthiva) - O king; अजातपक्षाः (ajātapakṣāḥ) - not-yet-fledged; शिशवः (śiśavaḥ) - children; शकिता (śakitā) - able; नैव (naiva) - not indeed; बाधितुम् (bādhitum) - to harm;]
(Here itself being present, they near your, O king, not-yet-fledged children are not indeed able to harm.)
O king, those not-yet-fledged children, being right here near you, are truly unable to cause any harm.
जातपक्षा विदेशस्था विवृद्धाः सर्वशोऽद्य ते। नोपायसाध्याः कौन्तेया ममैषा मतिरच्युत ॥१-१९४-४॥
jātapakṣā videśasthā vivṛddhāḥ sarvaśo'dya te. nopāyasādhyāḥ kaunteyā mamaiṣā matiracyuta ॥1-194-4॥
[जातपक्षा (jātapakṣāḥ) - having grown wings; (born with wings; विदेशस्था (videśasthāḥ) - situated in a foreign land; विवृद्धाः (vivṛddhāḥ) - grown; increased; सर्वशः (sarvaśaḥ) - entirely; in every way; अद्य (adya) - today; ते (te) - they; न (na) - not; उपायसाध्याः (upāyasādhyāḥ) - attainable by means; to be accomplished by effort; कौन्तेय (kaunteya) - O son of Kunti; मम (mama) - my; एषा (eṣā) - this; मतिः (matiḥ) - thought; opinion; अच्युत (acyuta) - O infallible one;]
(Having grown wings, situated in a foreign land, grown, entirely today they are not attainable by means, O son of Kunti, this is my thought, O infallible one.)
O infallible one, my opinion is that those who have grown wings and are now in a foreign land, having fully matured, are today not attainable by any means, O son of Kunti.
न च ते व्यसनैर्योक्तुं शक्या दिष्टकृता हि ते। शङ्किताश्चेप्सवश्चैव पितृपैतामहं पदम् ॥१-१९४-५॥
na ca te vyasanair yoktuṃ śakyā diṣṭakṛtā hi te. śaṅkitāś cepsavaś caiva pitṛpaitāmahaṃ padam ॥1-194-5॥
[न (na) - not; च (ca) - and; ते (te) - they; व्यसनैः (vyasanaiḥ) - by calamities; योक्तुम् (yoktum) - to be bound; शक्या (śakyā) - possible; दिष्टकृता (diṣṭakṛtā) - made by fate; हि (hi) - indeed; ते (te) - they; शङ्किताः (śaṅkitāḥ) - suspicious; च (ca) - and; इप्सवः (ipsavaḥ) - desiring; च (ca) - and; एव (eva) - indeed; पितृपैतामहम् (pitṛpaitāmaham) - ancestral; पदम् (padam) - position;]
(And they, made by fate, are not possible to be bound by calamities. Indeed, they are suspicious and desiring the ancestral position.)
And those people, whose actions are determined by fate, cannot be subdued by calamities. Indeed, they are both suspicious and desirous of the ancestral position.
परस्परेण भेदश्च नाधातुं तेषु शक्यते। एकस्यां ये रताः पत्न्यां न भिद्यन्ते परस्परम् ॥१-१९४-६॥
paraspareṇa bhedaś ca nādhātuṃ teṣu śakyate। ekasyāṃ ye ratāḥ patnyāṃ na bhidyante parasparam ॥1-194-6॥
[परस्परेण (paraspareṇa) - by one another; by mutual; by each other; भेदः (bhedaḥ) - division; separation; difference; च (ca) - and; न (na) - not; अधातुं (adhātuṃ) - to establish; to cause; to put; तेषु (teṣu) - among them; in them; शक्यते (śakyate) - is possible; can be done; एकस्याम् (ekasyām) - in one; in a single; ये (ye) - those who; रताः (ratāḥ) - devoted; attached; engaged; पत्न्याम् (patnyām) - in wife; in the wife; न (na) - not; भिद्यन्ते (bhidyante) - are divided; are separated; परस्परम् (parasparam) - from each other; mutually;]
(By one another, division and not to establish among them is possible. In one (wife), those who are devoted, in wife, not are divided from each other.)
Mutual division cannot be established among them; those who are devoted to one wife are not divided from each other.
न चापि कृष्णा शक्येत तेभ्यो भेदयितुं परैः। परिद्यूनान्वृतवती किमुताद्य मृजावतः ॥१-१९४-७॥
na cāpi kṛṣṇā śakyeta tebhyo bhedayituṃ paraiḥ। paridyūnānvṛtavatī kimutādya mṛjāvataḥ॥1-194-7॥
[न (na) - not; च (ca) - and; अपि (api) - also; कृष्णा (kṛṣṇā) - Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī); शक्येत (śakyeta) - could be able; तेभ्यः (tebhyaḥ) - from them; भेदयितुम् (bhedayitum) - to be separated; परैः (paraiḥ) - by others; परिद्यूनान् (paridyūnān) - those who are greatly distressed; वृतवती (vṛtavatī) - has chosen (as husband); किम् (kim) - what; उत (uta) - indeed; आद्य (ādya) - now; मृजावतः (mṛjāvataḥ) - of those who are clean/pure;]
(Not even Kṛṣṇā could be separated from them by others; she has chosen those who are greatly distressed—what indeed now (can be said) of those who are pure?)

ईप्सितश्च गुणः स्त्रीणामेकस्या बहुभर्तृता। तं च प्राप्तवती कृष्णा न सा भेदयितुं सुखम् ॥१-१९४-८॥
īpsitaś ca guṇaḥ strīṇām ekasyā bahubhārtṛtā। taṃ ca prāptavatī kṛṣṇā na sā bhedayituṃ sukham ॥1-194-8॥
[सुखम् (sukham) - happily;]
(And the desired quality of women is, for one, having many husbands. And that Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī) has obtained, but she does not happily divide (herself).)
The most desired quality among women is, for one, to have many husbands. Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī) has attained that, but she does not find it easy to divide herself among them.
आर्यवृत्तश्च पाञ्चाल्यो न स राजा धनप्रियः। न सन्त्यक्ष्यति कौन्तेयान्राज्यदानैरपि ध्रुवम् ॥१-१९४-९॥
āryavṛttaś ca pāñcālyo na sa rājā dhanapriyaḥ। na santyakṣyati kaunteyān rājyadānair api dhruvam॥1-194-9॥
[आर्यवृत्तः (āryavṛttaḥ) - of noble conduct; च (ca) - and; पाञ्चाल्यः (pāñcālyaḥ) - the son of the Panchala (Drupada); न (na) - not; सः (saḥ) - he; राजा (rājā) - king; धनप्रियः (dhanapriyaḥ) - fond of wealth; न (na) - not; सन्त्यक्ष्यति (santyakṣyati) - will abandon; कौन्तेयान् (kaunteyān) - the sons of Kunti; राज्यदानैः (rājyadānaiḥ) - by gifts of kingdom; अपि (api) - even; ध्रुवम् (dhruvam) - certainly;]
(Of noble conduct and the son of the Panchala, that king is not fond of wealth. He will certainly not abandon the sons of Kunti even by gifts of kingdom.)
The king, who is of noble conduct and the son of the Panchala, is not one who loves wealth. He will surely not abandon the sons of Kunti, not even for the sake of gifts of the kingdom.
तथास्य पुत्रो गुणवाननुरक्तश्च पाण्डवान्। तस्मान्नोपायसाध्यांस्तानहं मन्ये कथञ्चन ॥१-१९४-१०॥
tathāsya putro guṇavān anuraktaś ca pāṇḍavān। tasmān nopāya-sādhyāṃs tān ahaṃ manye kathaṃcana ॥1-194-10॥
[तथा (tathā) - thus; in this way; अस्य (asya) - his; पुत्रः (putraḥ) - son; गुणवान् (guṇavān) - virtuous; endowed with qualities; अनुरक्तः (anuraktaḥ) - attached; devoted; च (ca) - and; पाण्डवान् (pāṇḍavān) - to the Pāṇḍavas; तस्मात् (tasmāt) - therefore; न (na) - not; उपायसाध्यान् (upāya-sādhyān) - to be accomplished by means; attainable by strategy; तान् (tān) - them; अहं (ahaṃ) - I; मन्ये (manye) - think; कथञ्चन (kathaṃcana) - in any way; at all;]
(Thus his son, virtuous and devoted to the Pāṇḍavas, therefore I think those (Pāṇḍavas) are not to be attained by means in any way.)
Thus, his son is virtuous and devoted to the Pāṇḍavas; therefore, I do not think they can be overcome by any means whatsoever.
इदं त्वद्य क्षमं कर्तुमस्माकं पुरुषर्षभ। यावन्न कृतमूलास्ते पाण्डवेया विशां पते ॥ तावत्प्रहरणीयास्ते रोचतां तव विक्रमः ॥१-१९४-११॥
idaṃ tvadya kṣamaṃ kartumasmākaṃ puruṣarṣabha। yāvanna kṛtamūlāste pāṇḍaveyā viśāṃ pate ॥ tāvatpraharaṇīyāste rocatāṃ tava vikramaḥ ॥1-194-11॥
[इदं (idaṃ) - this; त्व (tva) - by you; अद्य (adya) - today; क्षमं (kṣamam) - proper; कर्तुम् (kartum) - to do; अस्माकं (asmākaṃ) - by us; पुरुषर्षभ (puruṣarṣabha) - bull among men; यावत् (yāvat) - as long as; न (na) - not; कृतमूलाः (kṛtamūlāḥ) - rooted out; ते (te) - those; पाण्डवेयाः (pāṇḍaveyāḥ) - sons of Pandu; विशां (viśām) - of men; पते (pate) - O lord; तावत् (tāvat) - so long; प्रहरणीयाः (praharaṇīyāḥ) - to be attacked; ते (te) - they; रोचतां (rocatāṃ) - let it be pleasing; तव (tava) - to you; विक्रमः (vikramaḥ) - valour;]
(This today by you proper to do by us, O bull among men; as long as not rooted out those sons of Pandu, O lord of men; so long to be attacked they, let it be pleasing to you, your valour.)
O bull among men, today it is proper for us to act thus by you; as long as those sons of Pandu are not rooted out, O lord of men, let your valour be shown in attacking them as long as it pleases you.
अस्मत्पक्षो महान्यावद्यावत्पाञ्चालको लघुः। तावत्प्रहरणं तेषां क्रियतां मा विचारय ॥१-१९४-१२॥
asmat-pakṣo mahān yāvad yāvat-pāñcālako laghuḥ। tāvat praharaṇaṃ teṣāṃ kriyatāṃ mā vicāraya ॥1-194-12॥
[अस्मत् (asmat) - our; (from asmad, first person pronoun) पक्षः (pakṣaḥ) - side; party; महान् (mahān) - great; large; यावत् (yāvat) - as long as; until; पाञ्चालकः (pāñcālakaḥ) - the Pāñcāla (side); लघुः (laghuḥ) - small; weak; तावत् (tāvat) - so much; to that extent; प्रहरणम् (praharaṇam) - attack; assault; तेषाम् (teṣām) - of them; their; क्रियताम् (kriyatām) - should be done; let it be done; मा (mā) - do not; विचारय (vicāraya) - consider; think;]
(Our side is great as long as the Pāñcāla side is small; so much attack of them should be done, do not consider.)
Our side is strong as long as the Pāñcāla side remains weak; therefore, strike them accordingly without hesitation or second thought.
वाहनानि प्रभूतानि मित्राणि बहुलानि च। यावन्न तेषां गान्धारे तावदेवाशु विक्रम ॥१-१९४-१३॥
vāhanāni prabhūtāni mitrāṇi bahulāni ca। yāvanna teṣāṃ gāndhāre tāvadevāśu vikrama ॥1-194-13॥
[वाहनानि (vāhanāni) - vehicles; प्रभूतानि (prabhūtāni) - abundant; मित्राणि (mitrāṇi) - friends; बहुलानि (bahulāni) - numerous; च (ca) - and; यावत् (yāvat) - as long as; न (na) - not; तेषां (teṣāṃ) - of them; गान्धारे (gāndhāre) - in Gandhara; तावत् (tāvat) - so long; एव (eva) - indeed; आशु (āśu) - quickly; विक्रम (vikrama) - advance;]
(Vehicles abundant, friends numerous and; as long not of them in Gandhara, so long indeed quickly advance.)
There are abundant vehicles and numerous friends; as long as they are not in Gandhara, quickly advance.
यावच्च राजा पाञ्चाल्यो नोद्यमे कुरुते मनः। सह पुत्रैर्महावीर्यैस्तावदेवाशु विक्रम ॥१-१९४-१४॥
yāvac ca rājā pāñcālyo nodyame kurute manaḥ। saha putrair mahāvīryais tāvad evāśu vikrama ॥1-194-14॥
[यावत् (yāvat) - as long as; च (ca) - and; राजा (rājā) - king; पाञ्चाल्यः (pāñcālyaḥ) - son of Pāñcālī; न (na) - not; उद्यमे (udyame) - in effort; कुरुते (kurute) - makes; मनः (manaḥ) - mind; सह (saha) - with; पुत्रैः (putraiḥ) - sons; महावीर्यैः (mahāvīryaiḥ) - of great strength; तावत् (tāvat) - so long; एव (eva) - only; आशु (āśu) - quickly; विक्रम (vikrama) - advance;]
(As long as the king, the son of Pāñcālī, does not set his mind to effort, together with his sons of great strength, so long only quickly advance.)
As long as the king, the son of Pāñcālī, does not resolve to act with his mighty sons, you may quickly advance.
यावन्नायाति वार्ष्णेयः कर्षन्यादववाहिनीम्। राज्यार्थे पाण्डवेयानां तावदेवाशु विक्रम ॥१-१९४-१५॥
yāvannāyāti vārṣṇeyaḥ karṣaṇyādavavāhinīm। rājyārthe pāṇḍaveyānāṃ tāvadevāśu vikrama ॥1-194-15॥
[यावत् (yāvat) - as long as; until; while; न (na) - not; आयाति (āyāti) - arrives; comes; वार्ष्णेयः (vārṣṇeyaḥ) - the descendant of Vṛṣṇi (Kṛṣṇa); कर्षण्यादववाहिनीम् (karṣaṇyādavavāhinīm) - the army of the Yādavas led by Kṛṣṇa (Karṣaṇi); राज्य-अर्थे (rājya-arthe) - for the sake of the kingdom; पाण्डवेयानाम् (pāṇḍaveyānām) - of the sons of Pāṇḍu; तावत् (tāvat) - so long; until then; एव (eva) - indeed; only; आशु (āśu) - quickly; immediately; विक्रम (vikrama) - act valiantly; exert effort;]
(As long as the descendant of Vṛṣṇi (Kṛṣṇa) does not arrive with the Yādava army, for the sake of the kingdom of the sons of Pāṇḍu, act valiantly and quickly until then indeed.)
Until Kṛṣṇa arrives with the Yādava army, act swiftly and valiantly for the sake of the Pāṇḍavas' kingdom.
वसूनि विविधान्भोगान्राज्यमेव च केवलम्। नात्याज्यमस्ति कृष्णस्य पाण्डवार्थे महीपते ॥१-१९४-१६॥
vasūni vividhānbhogān rājyam eva ca kevalam। nātyājyam asti kṛṣṇasya pāṇḍavārthe mahīpate ॥1-194-16॥
[वसूनि (vasūni) - wealths; विविधान् (vividhān) - various; भोगान् (bhogān) - enjoyments; राज्यम् (rājyam) - kingdom; एव (eva) - indeed; च (ca) - and; केवलम् (kevalam) - only; न (na) - not; अत्याज्यम् (atyājyam) - to be abandoned; अस्ति (asti) - is; कृष्णस्य (kṛṣṇasya) - of Kṛṣṇa; पाण्डव-अर्थे (pāṇḍava-arthe) - for the sake of the Pāṇḍavas; महीपते (mahīpate) - O king;]
(Wealths, various enjoyments, and even the kingdom alone indeed are not to be abandoned by Kṛṣṇa for the sake of the Pāṇḍavas, O king.)
O king, for the sake of the Pāṇḍavas, Kṛṣṇa would not abandon wealth, various enjoyments, or even the kingdom itself.
विक्रमेण मही प्राप्ता भरतेन महात्मना। विक्रमेण च लोकांस्त्रीञ्जितवान्पाकशासनः ॥१-१९४-१७॥
vikrameṇa mahī prāptā bharatena mahātmanā। vikrameṇa ca lokāṃstrīñjitavānpākaśāsanaḥ ॥1-194-17॥
[विक्रमेण (vikrameṇa) - by valor; by prowess; मही (mahī) - earth; प्राप्ता (prāptā) - was obtained; was gained; भरतेन (bharatena) - by Bharata; महात्मना (mahātmanā) - by the great-souled one; विक्रमेण (vikrameṇa) - by valor; by prowess; च (ca) - and; लोकान् (lokān) - worlds; त्रीन् (trīn) - three; जितवान् (jitavān) - conquered; पाकशासनः (pākaśāsanaḥ) - Indra; lord of Pāka (Indra);]
(By valor, the earth was obtained by Bharata, the great-souled one. And by valor, Indra, the lord of Pāka, conquered the three worlds.)
Bharata, the great-souled, gained the earth by his valor. Likewise, Indra, the lord of Pāka, conquered the three worlds by his prowess.
विक्रमं च प्रशंसन्ति क्षत्रियस्य विशां पते। स्वको हि धर्मः शूराणां विक्रमः पार्थिवर्षभ ॥१-१९४-१८॥
vikramaṃ ca praśaṃsanti kṣatriyasya viśāṃ pate। svako hi dharmaḥ śūrāṇāṃ vikramaḥ pārthivarṣabha ॥1-194-18॥
[विक्रमं (vikramaṃ) - valour; courage; च (ca) - and; प्रशंसन्ति (praśaṃsanti) - praise; extol; क्षत्रियस्य (kṣatriyasya) - of a kṣatriya; of the warrior; विशां (viśām) - of the people; of the subjects; पते (pate) - O lord; O ruler; स्वकः (svakaḥ) - one's own; belonging to oneself; हि (hi) - indeed; surely; धर्मः (dharmaḥ) - duty; law; शूराणां (śūrāṇāṃ) - of the brave; of heroes; विक्रमः (vikramaḥ) - valour; courage; पार्थिवर्षभ (pārthivarṣabha) - O best of kings; bull among kings;]
(Valour and (they) praise of the kṣatriya, O lord of the people. One's own indeed is the duty of the brave—valour, O bull among kings.)
O best of kings, valour is praised as the true duty of a kṣatriya. For the brave, their own duty is indeed valour.
ते बलेन वयं राजन्महता चतुरङ्गिणा। प्रमथ्य द्रुपदं शीघ्रमानयामेह पाण्डवान् ॥१-१९४-१९॥
te balena vayaṃ rājan mahatā caturaṅgiṇā। pramathya drupadaṃ śīghram ānayāma iha pāṇḍavān ॥1-194-19॥
[ते (te) - they; बलेन (balena) - by force; वयम् (vayam) - we; राजन् (rājan) - O king; महता (mahatā) - with great; चतुरङ्गिणा (caturaṅgiṇā) - with fourfold army; प्रमथ्य (pramathya) - having overpowered; द्रुपदम् (drupadam) - Drupada; शीघ्रम् (śīghram) - quickly; आनयाम (ānayāma) - let us bring; इह (iha) - here; पाण्डवान् (pāṇḍavān) - the Pāṇḍavas;]
(They, by force, we, O king, with great fourfold army, having overpowered Drupada, quickly let us bring here the Pāṇḍavas.)
O king, let us, with a great fourfold army, overpower Drupada by force and quickly bring the Pāṇḍavas here.
न हि साम्ना न दानेन न भेदेन च पाण्डवाः। शक्याः साधयितुं तस्माद्विक्रमेणैव ताञ्जहि ॥१-१९४-२०॥
na hi sāmnā na dānena na bhedena ca pāṇḍavāḥ। śakyāḥ sādhayituṃ tasmādvikrameṇaiva tāñjahi ॥1-194-20॥

(Not indeed by conciliation, not by gift, not by division and the Pāṇḍavas are possible to be subdued; therefore, by valor only, them conquer.)

तान्विक्रमेण जित्वेमामखिलां भुङ्क्ष्व मेदिनीम्। नान्यमत्र प्रपश्यामि कार्योपायं जनाधिप ॥१-१९४-२१॥
tān vikrameṇa jitvā imām akhilām bhuṅkṣva medinīm। na anyam atra prapaśyāmi kāryopāyaṃ janādhipa ॥1-194-21॥

(Them by prowess having conquered this entire earth enjoy. Not other here I see means for the objective, O lord of people.)
O lord of people, conquer all of them by your prowess and enjoy this entire earth. I do not see any other means for achieving your objective here.

śrutvā tu rādheyavaco dhṛtarāṣṭraḥ pratāpavān। abhipūjya tataḥ paścāidaṃ vacanamabravīt ॥1-194-22॥
[श्रुत्वा (śrutvā) - having heard; तु (tu) - but; राधेय-वचः (rādheya-vacaḥ) - the words of Rādheya; धृतराष्ट्रः (dhṛtarāṣṭraḥ) - Dhṛtarāṣṭra; प्रतापवान् (pratāpavān) - the glorious; अभिपूज्य (abhipūjya) - having duly honored; ततः (tataḥ) - then; पश्चात् (paścāt) - afterwards; इदं (idaṃ) - this; वचनम् (vacanam) - speech; अब्रवीत् (abravīt) - spoke;]
(Having heard but the words of Rādheya, Dhṛtarāṣṭra, the glorious, having duly honored (him), then afterwards this speech spoke.)

उपपन्नं महाप्राज्ञे कृतास्त्रे सूतनन्दने। त्वयि विक्रमसम्पन्नमिदं वचनमीदृशम् ॥१-१९४-२३॥
upapannaṃ mahāprājñe kṛtāstre sūtanandane। tvayi vikramasampannamidaṃ vacanamīdṛśam ॥1-194-23॥

(Arisen, O greatly wise one, mastered in weapons, O son of Sūta, in you endowed with valor, this speech such as this.)
O greatly wise son of Sūta, who has mastered weapons and is endowed with valor, such words as these are appropriate in you.
भूय एव तु भीष्मश्च द्रोणो विदुर एव च। युवां च कुरुतां बुद्धिं भवेद्या नः सुखोदया ॥१-१९४-२४॥
bhūya eva tu bhīṣmaś ca droṇo vidura eva ca। yuvāṃ ca kurutāṃ buddhiṃ bhaved yā naḥ sukhodayā ॥1-194-24॥
[भूय (bhūya) - again; more; further; एव (eva) - indeed; certainly; only; तु (tu) - but; however; भीष्मः (bhīṣmaḥ) - Bhishma; (proper noun); च (ca) - and; द्रोणः (droṇaḥ) - Drona; (proper noun); विदुरः (viduraḥ) - Vidura; (proper noun); एव (eva) - indeed; certainly; only; च (ca) - and; युवाम् (yuvām) - you two; च (ca) - and; कुरुताम् (kurutām) - may do; may make; बुद्धिम् (buddhim) - intellect; decision; plan; भवेत् (bhavet) - may be; may become; या (yā) - which; who; that; नः (naḥ) - our; for us; सुखोदया (sukhodayā) - bringing happiness; causing happiness;]
(Again indeed but Bhishma and Drona and Vidura indeed and you two and may make decision which may be for us bringing happiness.)
But again, let Bhishma, Drona, Vidura, and you two together make a decision which may bring happiness to us.
तत आनाय्य तान्सर्वान्मन्त्रिणः सुमहायशाः। धृतराष्ट्रो महाराज मन्त्रयामास वै तदा ॥१-१९४-२५॥
tat ānāyya tānsarvānmantriṇaḥ sumahāyaśāḥ। dhṛtarāṣṭro mahārāja mantrayāmāsa vai tadā ॥1-194-25॥
[तत् (tat) - then; आनाय्य (ānāyya) - having brought; तान् (tān) - them; सर्वान् (sarvān) - all; मन्त्रिणः (mantriṇaḥ) - ministers; सुमहायशाः (sumahāyaśāḥ) - of great fame; धृतराष्ट्रः (dhṛtarāṣṭraḥ) - Dhritarashtra; महाराज (mahārāja) - the great king; मन्त्रयामास (mantrayāmāsa) - consulted; वै (vai) - indeed; तदा (tadā) - then;]
(Then, having brought all those ministers, the great king Dhritarashtra of great fame indeed consulted then.)
Then the illustrious King Dhritarashtra, having summoned all his ministers, held a consultation at that time.
