Pancharatra: Arjuna abduct Subhadra bringing Vishni and Andhakas to their knees.

एष तावदभिप्रायमाख्यातु स्वं महामतिः। यदस्य रुचितं कर्तुं तत्कुरुध्वमतन्द्रिताः ॥१-२१२-२२॥
eṣa tāvad abhiprāyam ākhyātu svaṃ mahāmatiḥ। yad asya rucitaṃ kartuṃ tat kurudhvam atandritāḥ॥1-212-22॥
[एष (eṣa) - this; तावत् (tāvat) - so far; अभिप्रायम् (abhiprāyam) - intention; आख्यातु (ākhyātu) - let him declare; स्वम् (svam) - his own; महामतिः (mahāmatiḥ) - the great-minded one; यत् (yat) - which; अस्य (asya) - his; रुचितम् (rucitam) - pleasing; कर्तुम् (kartum) - to do; तत् (tat) - that; कुरुध्वम् (kurudhvam) - you all do; अतन्द्रिताः (atandritāḥ) - without laziness;]
(This so far intention let him declare his own, the great-minded one. Which is pleasing to him to do, that you all do without laziness.)
Let this great-minded one first declare his own intention. Whatever he wishes to be done, do that without delay or negligence.
ततस्ते तद्वचः श्रुत्वा ग्राह्यरूपं हलायुधात्। तूष्णीं भूतास्ततः सर्वे साधु साध्विति चाब्रुवन् ॥१-२१२-२३॥
tataste tadvacaḥ śrutvā grāhyarūpaṃ halāyudhāt। tūṣṇīṃ bhūtāstataḥ sarve sādhu sādhviti cābruvan ॥1-212-23॥
[ततः (tataḥ) - then; ते (te) - they; तद्-वचः (tad-vacaḥ) - those words; श्रुत्वा (śrutvā) - having heard; ग्राह्य-रूपं (grāhya-rūpaṃ) - acceptable form; हलायुधात् (halāyudhāt) - from Halāyudha (Balarāma); तूष्णीं (tūṣṇīm) - silent; भूताः (bhūtāḥ) - became; ततः (tataḥ) - then; सर्वे (sarve) - all; साधु साधु इति (sādhu sādhu iti) - 'well done, well done'; च (ca) - and; अब्रुवन् (abrūvan) - they said;]
(Then they, having heard those words in an acceptable form from Halāyudha, became silent; then all said 'well done, well done' and spoke thus.)

समं वचो निशम्येति बलदेवस्य धीमतः। पुनरेव सभामध्ये सर्वे तु समुपाविशन् ॥१-२१२-२४॥
samaṃ vaco niśamyeti baladevasya dhīmataḥ। punareva sabhāmadhye sarve tu samupāviśan ॥1-212-24॥
[समम् (samaṃ) - equally; वचः (vacaḥ) - speech; निशम्य (niśamya) - having heard; इति (iti) - thus; बलदेवस्य (baladevasya) - of Baladeva; धीमतः (dhīmataḥ) - wise; पुनः (punaḥ) - again; एव (eva) - indeed; सभामध्ये (sabhāmadhye) - in the midst of the assembly; सर्वे (sarve) - all; तु (tu) - but; समुपाविशन् (samupāviśan) - sat down together;]
(Having heard equally the speech thus of wise Baladeva, again indeed in the midst of the assembly all but sat down together.)
After listening to the impartial words of wise Baladeva, everyone once again sat down together in the middle of the assembly.
ततोऽब्रवीत्कामपालो वासुदेवं परन्तपम्। किमवागुपविष्टोऽसि प्रेक्षमाणो जनार्दन ॥१-२१२-२५॥
tato'bravītkāmapālo vāsudevaṃ parantapam। kimavāgupaviṣṭo'si prekṣamāṇo janārdana ॥1-212-25॥
[ततः (tataḥ) - then; अब्रवीत् (abravīt) - said; कामपालः (kāmapālaḥ) - Kāmapāla (the protector of desires); वासुदेवम् (vāsudevam) - to Vāsudeva; परन्तपम् (parantapam) - scorcher of foes; किम् (kim) - why; अवाक् (avāk) - downward; उपविष्टः (upaviṣṭaḥ) - seated; असि (asi) - are (you); प्रेक्षमाणः (prekṣamāṇaḥ) - looking; जनार्दन (janārdana) - O Janārdana;]
(Then Kāmapāla said to Vāsudeva, the scorcher of foes: Why are you seated with your face downward, looking, O Janārdana?)
Then Kāmapāla addressed Vāsudeva, the subduer of enemies: "O Janārdana, why are you sitting with your face downcast, gazing thus?"
सत्कृतस्त्वत्कृते पार्थः सर्वैरस्माभिरच्युत। न च सोऽर्हति तां पूजां दुर्बुद्धिः कुलपांसनः ॥१-२१२-२६॥
satkṛtastvatkṛte pārthaḥ sarvairasmābhiracyuta। na ca so'rhati tāṃ pūjāṃ durbuddhiḥ kulapāṃsanaḥ ॥1-212-26॥
[सत्कृतः (satkṛtaḥ) - honored; त्वत्कृते (tvatkṛte) - for your sake; पार्थः (pārthaḥ) - Pārtha (Arjuna); सर्वैः (sarvaiḥ) - by all; अस्माभिः (asmābhiḥ) - by us; अच्युत (acyuta) - Acyuta (O infallible one, Krishna); न (na) - not; च (ca) - and; सः (saḥ) - he; अर्हति (arhati) - deserves; तां (tāṃ) - that; पूजां (pūjāṃ) - honor; दुर्बुद्धिः (durbuddhiḥ) - evil-minded; कुलपांसनः (kulapāṃsanaḥ) - disgrace of the family;]
(Honored for your sake, Pārtha, by all of us, O Acyuta; but he does not deserve that honor, the evil-minded, disgrace of the family.)
O Acyuta, Pārtha was honored by all of us for your sake; but that evil-minded disgrace of the family does not deserve such honor.
को हि तत्रैव भुक्त्वान्नं भाजनं भेत्तुमर्हति। मन्यमानः कुले जातमात्मानं पुरुषः क्वचित् ॥१-२१२-२७॥
ko hi tatraiva bhuktvā annaṃ bhājanaṃ bhettum arhati। manyamānaḥ kule jātam ātmānaṃ puruṣaḥ kvacit ॥1-212-27॥
[कः (kaḥ) - who; हि (hi) - indeed; तत्रैव (tatraiva) - right there; भुक्त्वा (bhuktvā) - having eaten; अन्नम् (annam) - food; भाजनम् (bhājanam) - vessel; भेतुम् (bhettum) - to break; अर्हति (arhati) - deserves; मन्यमानः (manyamānaḥ) - thinking; कुले (kule) - in a family; जातम् (jātam) - born; आत्मानम् (ātmānam) - himself; पुरुषः (puruṣaḥ) - man; क्वचित् (kvacit) - ever;]
(Who indeed right there, having eaten food, deserves to break the vessel? Thinking himself born in a family, does a man ever (do so)?)
Who, having eaten food right there, would ever deserve to break the vessel? Does a man, thinking himself born in a noble family, ever do such a thing?
ईप्समानश्च सम्बन्धं कृतपूर्वं च मानयन्। को हि नाम भवेनार्थी साहसेन समाचरेत् ॥१-२१२-२८॥
īpsamānaś ca sambandhaṃ kṛtapūrvaṃ ca mānayan। ko hi nāma bhaven arthī sāhasena samācaret ॥1-212-28॥
[ईप्समानः (īpsamānaḥ) - desiring; (one who) wishes; (one who) seeks; (one who) intends; च (ca) - and; सम्बन्धम् (sambandham) - relationship; connection; कृतपूर्वम् (kṛtapūrvam) - previously done; already established; च (ca) - and; मानयन् (mānayan) - honoring; respecting; को (ko) - who; हि (hi) - indeed; surely; नाम (nāma) - by name; truly; really; भवेत् (bhavet) - would be; could be; अर्थी (arthī) - seeker; one who desires (something); साहसेन (sāhasena) - by rashness; by daring act; समाचरेत् (samācaret) - should act; would act;]
(Desiring and honoring a relationship already established, who indeed, truly, would be a seeker who should act by rashness?)
Who, desiring and honoring an already established relationship, would truly be a seeker who acts rashly?
सोऽवमन्य च नामास्माननादृत्य च केशवम्। प्रसह्य हृतवानद्य सुभद्रां मृत्युमात्मनः ॥१-२१२-२९॥
so'vamanya ca nāmāsmānanādṛtya ca keśavam। prasahya hṛtavānadya subhadrāṃ mṛtyumātmanaḥ ॥1-212-29॥
[सः (saḥ) - he; अवमन्य (avamanya) - disregarding; च (ca) - and; नाम (nām) - indeed; अस्मान् (asmān) - us; अनादृत्य (anādṛtya) - not respecting; च (ca) - and; केशवम् (keśavam) - Keśava; प्रसह्य (prasahya) - by force; हृतवान् (hṛtavān) - has taken; अद्य (adya) - today; सुभद्राम् (subhadrām) - Subhadrā; मृत्युम् (mṛtyum) - death; आत्मनः (ātmanaḥ) - of himself;]
(He, disregarding and indeed not respecting us and Keśava, by force has taken Subhadrā today, (thus) death (is) of himself.)

कथं हि शिरसो मध्ये पदं तेन कृतं मम। मर्षयिष्यामि गोविन्द पादस्पर्शमिवोरगः ॥१-२१२-३०॥
kathaṁ hi śiraso madhye padaṁ tena kṛtaṁ mama। marṣayiṣyāmi govinda pādasparśamivoragaḥ ॥1-212-30॥
[कथं (kathaṁ) - how; हि (hi) - indeed; शिरसः (śirasaḥ) - of the head; मध्ये (madhye) - in the middle; पदं (padaṁ) - foot; तेन (tena) - by him; कृतं (kṛtaṁ) - placed; मम (mama) - on my; मर्षयिष्यामि (marṣayiṣyāmi) - will I endure; गोविन्द (govinda) - Govinda; पादस्पर्शम् (pādasparśam) - touch of the foot; इव (iva) - like; उरगः (uragaḥ) - a serpent;]
(How indeed in the middle of the head by him the foot placed on my (head), will I endure, O Govinda, the touch of the foot like a serpent?)
How can I possibly endure, O Govinda, that his foot was placed on the middle of my head, just as a serpent would endure the touch of a foot?
अद्य निष्कौरवामेकः करिष्यामि वसुन्धराम्। न हि मे मर्षणीयोऽयमर्जुनस्य व्यतिक्रमः ॥१-२१२-३१॥
adya niṣkauravāmekaḥ kariṣyāmi vasundharām। na hi me marṣaṇīyo'yamarjunasya vyatikramaḥ ॥1-212-31॥
[अद्य (adya) - today; निष्कौरवाम् (niṣkauravām) - free from Kauravas; एकः (ekaḥ) - alone; करिष्यामि (kariṣyāmi) - I will make; वसुन्धराम् (vasundharām) - the earth; न (na) - not; हि (hi) - indeed; मे (me) - by me; मर्षणीयः (marṣaṇīyaḥ) - to be tolerated; अयम् (ayam) - this; अर्जुनस्य (arjunasya) - of Arjuna; व्यतिक्रमः (vyatikramaḥ) - transgression;]
(Today, I alone will make the earth free from Kauravas. Indeed, this transgression of Arjuna is not to be tolerated by me.)
Today, I alone shall rid the earth of the Kauravas. Truly, I cannot tolerate this transgression of Arjuna.
तं तथा गर्जमानं तु मेघदुन्दुभिनिःस्वनम्। अन्वपद्यन्त ते सर्वे भोजवृष्ण्यन्धकास्तदा ॥१-२१२-३२॥
taṃ tathā garjamānaṃ tu meghadundubhiniḥsvanam। anvapadyanta te sarve bhojavṛṣṇyandhakāstadā ॥1-212-32॥
[तं (taṃ) - him; तथा (tathā) - thus; गर्जमानं (garjamānam) - roaring; तु (tu) - but; मेघदुन्दुभि-निःस्वनम् (meghadundubhi-niḥsvanam) - with the sound of thunder and drums; अन्वपद्यन्त (anvapadyanta) - followed; ते (te) - they; सर्वे (sarve) - all; भोज-वृष्णि-अन्धकाः (bhoja-vṛṣṇi-andhakāḥ) - the Bhojas, Vṛṣṇis, and Andhakas; तदा (tadā) - then;]
(Him thus roaring but with the sound of thunder and drums, they all, the Bhojas, Vṛṣṇis, and Andhakas, then followed.)
Then, as he roared like thunder and drums, all the Bhojas, Vṛṣṇis, and Andhakas followed him.
