(Which by me of the Pāṇḍavas but seen, that hear, O Bhārata. Brought by the kings indeed, chief wealth from here and there.)
O Bhārata, listen to what I have seen of the Pāṇḍavas: the chief wealth brought by the kings from various places. (2-47-1)
न विन्दे दृढमात्मानं दृष्ट्वाहं तदरेर्धनम्। फलतो भूमितो वापि प्रतिपद्यस्व भारत ॥२-४७-२॥
na vindē dṛḍham-ātmānaṃ dṛṣṭvāhaṃ tadarēr-dhanam। phalatō bhūmitō vāpi pratipadyasva bhārata ॥2-47-2॥

(Not I find firm self having seen I of that enemy wealth; as a result from the ground or even acquire O Bhārata;)
O Bhārata, I do not find a firm self after seeing the wealth of that enemy; therefore, whether from the ground or otherwise, you should acquire it. (2-47-2)
ऐडांश्चैलान्वार्षदंशाञ्जातरूपपरिष्कृतान्। प्रावाराजिनमुख्यांश्च काम्बोजः प्रददौ वसु ॥२-४७-३॥

(Wearing cow-hide, Brāhmaṇas and servants, all, for the sake of pleasing, they, greatly fortunate, of the king of dharma, of the great-souled, three kharvas of offering having taken, at the door stand, turned away.)
Brāhmaṇas wearing cow-hide and all the servants, wishing to please the greatly fortunate and noble king of dharma, stood at the door with three kharvas of offerings, but were turned away. (2-47-5)

(A hundred slave-girls by the thousand, wearing cotton garments, dark-complexioned, slender, long-haired, adorned with gold ornaments; śūdra women, garments worthy of the best brāhmaṇas, and deerskins of the poor also.)

इन्द्रकृष्टैर्वर्तयन्ति धान्यैर्नदीमुखैश्च ये। समुद्रनिष्कुटे जाताः परिसिन्धु च मानवाः ॥२-४७-९॥
indrakṛṣṭair vartayanti dhānyair nadīmukhaiś ca ye। samudraniṣkuṭe jātāḥ parisindhu ca mānavāḥ ॥2-47-9॥
[इन्द्रकृष्टैः (indrakṛṣṭaiḥ) - by those ploughed by Indra; (i.e., by rain-fed) वर्तयन्ति (vartayanti) - they sustain; (they maintain) धान्यैः (dhānyaiḥ) - with grains; नदीमुखैः (nadīmukhaiḥ) - with river mouths; च (ca) - and; ये (ye) - those who; समुद्रनिष्कुटे (samudraniṣkuṭe) - in the region near the ocean; जाताः (jātāḥ) - born; परिसिन्धु (parisindhu) - around the Sindhu (Indus); च (ca) - and; मानवाः (mānavāḥ) - humans;]
(Those who are born in the region near the ocean, around the Sindhu, sustain themselves with grains ploughed by Indra (rain-fed) and with river mouths.)
The people born near the ocean and around the Sindhu (Indus) live by means of rain-fed grains and the mouths of rivers. (2-47-9)
ते वैरामाः पारदाश्च वङ्गाश्च कितवैः सह। विविधं बलिमादाय रत्नानि विविधानि च ॥२-४७-१०॥
te vairāmāḥ pāradāś ca vaṅgāś ca kitavaiḥ saha। vividhaṃ balim ādāya ratnāni vividhāni ca ॥2-47-10॥

(They, the Vairamas, Paradas, and Vangas, together with gamblers, having taken various tribute and various gems.)

अजाविकं गोहिरण्यं खरोष्ट्रं फलजं मधु। कम्बलान्विविधांश्चैव द्वारि तिष्ठन्ति वारिताः ॥२-४७-११॥
ajāvikaṃ gohiraṇyaṃ kharoṣṭraṃ phalajaṃ madhu। kambalān vividhāṃś caiva dvāri tiṣṭhanti vāritāḥ ॥2-47-11॥

प्राग्ज्योतिषाधिपः शूरो म्लेच्छानामधिपो बली। यनवैः सहितो राजा भगदत्तो महारथः ॥२-४७-१२॥

न पारयाम्यभिगतान्विविधान्द्वारि वारितान्। बल्यर्थं ददतस्तस्य नानारूपाननेकशः ॥२-४७-२०॥
na pārayāmyabhigatān vividhān dvāri vāritān। balyarthaṃ dadatas tasya nānārūpān anekaśaḥ ॥2-47-20॥

I am not able to turn away the various people who have come to the door and have been turned away, who are giving offerings to him in many forms and in many ways. (2-47-20)
कृष्णग्रीवान्महाकायान्रासभाञ्शतपातिनः। आहार्षुर्दशसाहस्रान्विनीतान्दिक्षु विश्रुतान् ॥२-४७-२१॥

प्रमाणरागस्पर्शाढ्यं बाह्लीचीनसमुद्भवम्। और्णं च राङ्कवं चैव कीटजं पट्टजं तथा ॥२-४७-२२॥
pramāṇarāgasparśāḍhyaṃ bāhlīcīnasamudbhavam। aurṇaṃ ca rāṅkavaṃ caiva kīṭajaṃ paṭṭajaṃ tathā ॥2-47-22॥

कुट्टीकृतं तथैवान्यत्कमलाभं सहस्रशः। श्लक्ष्णं वस्त्रमकार्पासमाविकं मृदु चाजिनम् ॥२-४७-२३॥
kuṭṭīkṛtaṃ tathaivānyat kamalābhaṃ sahasraśaḥ| ślakṣṇaṃ vastram akārpāsam āvikaṃ mṛdu cājinam ॥2-47-23॥

(Juices, scents, and various gems by thousands, and having taken the entire offering, stand at the door restrained.)
Thousands of juices, fragrances, and various gems, along with the entire tribute, are brought and those who have brought them stand restrained at the door. (2-47-25)
शकास्तुखाराः कङ्काश्च रोमशाः शृङ्गिणो नराः। महागमान्दूरगमान्गणितानर्बुदं हयान् ॥२-४७-२६॥
śakāstu khārāḥ kaṅkāś ca romaśāḥ śṛṅgiṇo narāḥ। mahāgamān dūragamān gaṇitān arbudaṃ hayān ॥2-47-26॥

The Śakas, Khāras, Kaṅkas, and also hairy, horned men—men of great speed and those who travel far—brought a counted ten million horses. (2-47-26)
कोटिशश्चैव बहुशः सुवर्णं पद्मसंमितम्। बलिमादाय विविधं द्वारि तिष्ठन्ति वारिताः ॥२-४७-२७॥
koṭiśaś caiva bahuśaḥ suvarṇaṃ padmasaṃmitam। balim ādāya vividhaṃ dvāri tiṣṭhanti vāritāḥ ॥2-47-27॥

(In crores and indeed in great quantity, gold equal to a lotus (in value), having taken offerings of various kinds, at the door stand (those who are) turned away. (2-47-27))
Innumerable people, bringing offerings of gold measured in lotus-weights and of many kinds, stand at the door, having been turned away. (2-47-27)
आसनानि महार्हाणि यानानि शयनानि च। मणिकाञ्चनचित्राणि गजदन्तमयानि च ॥२-४७-२८॥

रथांश्च विविधाकाराञ्जातरूपपरिष्कृतान्। हयैर्विनीतैः सम्पन्नान्वैयाघ्रपरिवारणान् ॥२-४७-२९॥
rathāṁś ca vividhākārāñ jātarūpapariṣkṛtān। hayair vinītaiḥ sampannān vaiyāghraparivāraṇān ॥2-47-29॥

विचित्रांश्च परिस्तोमान्रत्नानि च सहस्रशः। नाराचानर्धनाराचाञ्शस्त्राणि विविधानि च ॥२-४७-३०॥
vicitrāṃś ca paristomān ratnāni ca sahasraśaḥ। nārācān ardhanārācāñ śastrāṇi vividhāni ca ॥2-47-30॥

एतद्दत्त्वा महद्द्रव्यं पूर्वदेशाधिपो नृपः। प्रविष्टो यज्ञसदनं पाण्डवस्य महात्मनः ॥२-४७-३१॥
etaddattvā mahaddravyaṃ pūrvadeśādhipo nṛpaḥ। praviṣṭo yajñasadanaṃ pāṇḍavasya mahātmanaḥ ॥2-47-31॥
