etasmin-neva kāle tu bṛhaddyumno mahīpatiḥ। satram āste mahābhāgo raibhyayājyaḥ pratāpavān॥03-139-1॥
[एतस्मिन् एव (etasmin eva) - in this very; काले (kāle) - time; तु (tu) - but; बृहद्द्युम्नः (bṛhaddyumnaḥ) - Bṛhaddyumna; महीपतिः (mahīpatiḥ) - king; सत्रम् (satram) - sacrifice; आस्ते (āste) - remains; महाभागः (mahābhāgaḥ) - very fortunate; रैभ्ययाज्यः (raibhyayājyaḥ) - assisted by Raibhya as priest; प्रतापवान् (pratāpavān) - glorious;]
(In this very time but Bṛhaddyumna king sacrifice remains very fortunate, assisted by Raibhya as priest, glorious.)
But at this very time, King Bṛhaddyumna, the greatly fortunate and glorious, was residing at a sacrifice performed with Raibhya as his priest. (03-139-1)
तेन रैभ्यस्य वै पुत्रावर्वावसुपरावसू। वृतौ सहायौ सत्रार्थे बृहद्द्युम्नेन धीमता ॥०३-१३९-२॥
tena raibhyasya vai putrau arvāvasuparāvasū। vṛtau sahāyau satrārthe bṛhaddyumnena dhīmatā ॥03-139-2॥
[तेन (tena) - by him; रैभ्यस्य (raibhyasya) - of Raibhya; वै (vai) - indeed; पुत्रौ (putrau) - (the) two sons; अर्वावसुपरावसू (arvāvasuparāvasū) - Arvāvasu and Parāvasu; वृतौ (vṛtau) - were chosen; सहायौ (sahāyau) - (as) helpers; सत्रार्थे (satrārthe) - for the purpose of the sacrifice; बृहद्द्युम्नेन (bṛhaddyumnena) - by Bṛhaddyumna; धीमता (dhīmatā) - the wise one;]
(By him, indeed, the two sons of Raibhya—Arvāvasu and Parāvasu—were chosen as helpers for the purpose of the sacrifice by the wise Bṛhaddyumna.)

(There those two, having been permitted by the father, O son of Kunti, went. In the hermitage, but, indeed, the wife of Raibhya and of Parāvasu was.)
Thereupon, those two, having been permitted by their father, O son of Kunti, went. In the hermitage, however, there was the wife of both Raibhya and Parāvasu. (03-139-3)
अथावलोककोऽगच्छद्गृहानेकः परावसुः। कृष्णाजिनेन संवीतं ददर्श पितरं वने ॥०३-१३९-४॥
athāvalokako’gacchad gṛhānaikaḥ parāvasuḥ। kṛṣṇājinena saṃvītaṃ dadarśa pitaraṃ vane ॥03-139-4॥
[अथ (atha) - then; आवलोककः (āvalokakaḥ) - one who looks around; अगच्छत् (agacchat) - went; गृहान् (gṛhān) - houses; एकः (ekaḥ) - one person; परावसुः (parāvasuḥ) - Parāvasu (proper name); कृष्णाजिनेन (kṛṣṇājinena) - with a black-deerskin; संवीतम् (saṃvītam) - clothed; ददर्श (dadarśa) - saw; पितरं (pitaraṃ) - his father; वने (vane) - in the forest;]
(Then the one who looked around, Parāvasu, went to the houses; he saw his father, clothed in a black-deerskin, in the forest.)
Then Parāvasu, looking around, went to the houses and saw his father, clad in a black deerskin, in the forest. (3-139-4)
जघन्यरात्रे निद्रान्धः सावशेषे तमस्यपि। चरन्तं गहनेऽरण्ये मेने स पितरं मृगम् ॥०३-१३९-५॥
jaghanyarātre nidrāndhaḥ sāvaśeṣe tamasyapi। carantaṃ gahane'raṇye mene sa pitaraṃ mṛgam ॥03-139-5॥
[जघन्यरात्रे (jaghanyarātre) - in the last part of night; निद्रान्धः (nidrāndhaḥ) - blinded by sleep; सावशेषे (sāvaśeṣe) - when still remaining; तमस्य (tamasya) - of darkness; अपि (api) - even; चरन्तं (carantaṃ) - wandering; गहने (gahane) - in the dense; अरण्ये (araṇye) - forest; मेने (mene) - (he) thought; स (sa) - he; पितरं (pitaraṃ) - his father; मृगम् (mṛgam) - as a wild animal;]
(In the last part of the night, blinded by sleep, when some darkness still remained, wandering in the dense forest, he thought his father to be a wild animal.)

मृगं तु मन्यमानेन पिता वै तेन हिंसितः। अकामयानेन तदा शरीरत्राणमिच्छता ॥०३-१३९-६॥
mṛgaṃ tu manyamānena pitā vai tena hiṃsitaḥ। akāmayānena tadā śarīra-trāṇam icchatā ॥03-139-6॥
[मृगं (mṛgam) - deer (object); तु (tu) - but; मन्यमानेन (manyamānena) - thinking (by one who thinks); पिता (pitā) - the father; वै (vai) - indeed; तेन (tena) - by him; हिंसितः (hiṃsitaḥ) - was injured; अकामयानेन (akāmayānena) - not desiring (by one who does not wish); तदा (tadā) - then; शरीरत्राणम् (śarīra-trāṇam) - protection of the body; इच्छता (icchatā) - wishing;]
(But the father, thinking it a deer, indeed was injured by him, by one not wishing (for harm), then wishing for protection of the body.)

स तस्य प्रेतकार्याणि कृत्वा सर्वाणि भारत। पुनरागम्य तत्सत्रमब्रवीद्भ्रातरं वचः ॥०३-१३९-७॥
sa tasya pretakāryāṇi kṛtvā sarvāṇi bhārata। punarāgamya tatsatram abravīd bhrātaraṃ vacaḥ ॥03-139-7॥
[स (sa) - he; तस्य (tasya) - his; प्रेतकार्याणि (pretakāryāṇi) - funeral rites; कृत्वा (kṛtvā) - having performed; सर्वाणि (sarvāṇi) - all; भारत (bhārata) - O Bhārata; पुनरागम्य (punarāgamya) - having returned; तत्सत्रम् (tatsatram) - that assembly; अब्रवीत् (abravīt) - spoke; भ्रातरम् (bhrātaram) - to brother; वचः (vacaḥ) - words;]
(He, having performed all his funeral rites, O Bhārata, having returned to that assembly, spoke words to his brother.)
After performing all the funeral rites for him, O Bhārata, he returned to that assembly and spoke to his brother. (03-139-7)
इदं कर्म न शक्तस्त्वं वोढुमेकः कथञ्चन। मया तु हिंसितस्तातो मन्यमानेन तं मृगम् ॥०३-१३९-८॥
idaṃ karma na śaktastvaṃ voḍhumekaḥ kathaṃcana। mayā tu hiṃsitastāto manyamānena taṃ mṛgam ॥03-139-8॥
[इदं (idaṃ) - this; कर्म (karma) - deed; न (na) - not; शक्तः (śaktaḥ) - able; त्वं (tvaṃ) - you; वोढुम् (voḍhum) - to bear; एकः (ekaḥ) - alone; कथञ्चन (kathaṃcana) - in any way; मया (mayā) - by me; तु (tu) - but; हिंसितः (hiṃsitaḥ) - harmed; तातः (tātaḥ) - father; मन्यमानेन (manyamānena) - while thinking; तं (taṃ) - that; मृगम् (mṛgam) - deer;]
(This deed not able you to bear alone in any way. By me, but, was harmed (your) father, while thinking that (it was) a deer.)
You are not able to bear this deed alone in any way. It was I who harmed your father, thinking that (he was) a deer. (03-139-8)
सोऽस्मदर्थे व्रतं साधु चर त्वं ब्रह्महिंसनम्। समर्थो ह्यहमेकाकी कर्म कर्तुमिदं मुने ॥०३-१३९-९॥
so'smadarthe vrataṃ sādhu cara tvaṃ brahmahiṃsanam। samartho hy aham ekākī karma kartum idaṃ mune ॥03-139-9॥
[सः (saḥ) - he; अस्मदर्थे (asmad-arthe) - for our sake; व्रतम् (vratam) - vow; साधु (sādhu) - properly; चर (cara) - perform; त्वम् (tvam) - you; ब्रह्महिंसनम् (brahma-hiṃsanam) - killing of a Brāhmaṇa; समर्थः (samarthaḥ) - capable; हि (hi) - indeed; अहम् (aham) - I; एकाकी (ekākī) - alone; कर्म (karma) - action; कर्तुम् (kartum) - to do; इदं (idaṃ) - this; मुने (mune) - O sage;]
(He, for our sake, vow properly perform you killing of a Brāhmaṇa. Capable indeed I alone action to do this O sage.)
He, for our sake, you must properly undertake the vow of killing a Brāhmaṇa. For I alone am indeed capable of performing this action, O sage. (03-139-9)

karotu vai bhavān satraṃ bṛhaddyumnasya dhīmataḥ। brahmahatyāṃ cariṣye'haṃ tvadarthaṃ niyatendriyaḥ॥03-139-10॥
[करोतु (karotu) - let (him) do; (may he) perform; वै (vai) - indeed; truly; भवान् (bhavān) - you (honorific); सत्रं (satraṃ) - sacrifice; sacrificial session; बृहद्द्युम्नस्य (bṛhaddyumnasya) - of Bṛhaddyumna; धीमतः (dhīmataḥ) - wise; intelligent; ब्रह्महत्यां (brahmahatyāṃ) - the act of killing a Brāhmaṇa; चरिष्ये (cariṣye) - I shall perform; अहम् (aham) - I; त्वदर्थं (tvadartham) - for your sake; नियतेन्द्रियः (niyatendriyaḥ) - having controlled senses; self-restrained;]
(Let indeed you perform the sacrifice of Bṛhaddyumna, the wise. I shall undertake the act of killing a Brāhmaṇa for your sake, self-restrained.)
You should indeed perform the sacrifice of the wise Bṛhaddyumna. For your sake, I will undertake the act of slaying a Brāhmaṇa, maintaining self-control. (03-139-10)

sa tasyā brahmahatyāyāḥ pāraṃ gatvā yudhiṣṭhira। arvāvasus tadā satram ājagāma punar muniḥ ॥03-139-11॥
[स (sa) - he; तस्या (tasyā) - of her; ब्रह्महत्यायाः (brahmahatyāyāḥ) - of Brahmin-slaughter; पारं (pāram) - the far shore; गत्वा (gatvā) - having gone; युधिष्ठिर (yudhiṣṭhira) - O Yudhishthira; अर्वावसुः (arvāvasuḥ) - Arvavasu; तदा (tadā) - then; सत्रम् (satram) - sacrifice; आजगाम (ājagāma) - came; पुनः (punaḥ) - again; मुनिः (muniḥ) - the sage;]
(He, having gone to the far shore of her (the) Brahmin-slaughter, O Yudhishthira, Arvavasu then came again to the sacrifice, the sage.)
Having crossed beyond the sin of Brahmin-slaying, O Yudhishthira, Arvavasu, the sage, then returned again to the sacrifice. (03-139-11)
ततः परावसुर्दृष्ट्वा भ्रातरं समुपस्थितम्। बृहद्द्युम्नमुवाचेदं वचनं परिषद्गतम् ॥०३-१३९-१२॥
tataḥ parāvasur dṛṣṭvā bhrātaraṃ samupasthitam. bṛhaddyumnam uvāca idaṃ vacanaṃ pariṣad-gatam ॥03-139-12॥

(Then Parāvasu, having seen his brother having approached, spoke this speech addressed to the assembly to Bṛhaddyumna.)

एष ते ब्रह्महा यज्ञं मा द्रष्टुं प्रविशेदिति। ब्रह्महा प्रेक्षितेनापि पीडयेत्त्वां न संशयः ॥०३-१३९-१३॥

[एष (eṣa) - this (one); ते (te) - your; of you; ब्रह्महा (brahmahā) - slayer of a Brāhmaṇa; यज्ञम् (yajñam) - sacrifice; मा (mā) - not; द्रष्टुम् (draṣṭum) - to see; प्रविशेत् (praviśet) - should enter; इति (iti) - 'thus'; ब्रह्महा (brahmahā) - the slayer of a Brāhmaṇa; प्रेक्षितेन (prekṣitena) - when seen; when looked at; अपि (api) - even; पीडयेत् (pīḍayet) - may afflict; may cause harm; त्वाम् (tvām) - you; न (na) - not; संशयः (saṃśayaḥ) - doubt;]
(This is your slayer of a Brāhmaṇa; he should not enter to see the sacrifice thus. The slayer of a Brāhmaṇa, even when seen, may afflict you; there is no doubt.)
This is your slayer of a Brāhmaṇa; he must not enter to witness the sacrifice. There is no doubt that even seeing the slayer of a Brāhmaṇa may harm you. (03-139-13)
प्रेष्यैरुत्सार्यमाणस्तु राजन्नर्वावसुस्तदा। न मया ब्रह्महत्येयं कृतेत्याह पुनः पुनः ॥०३-१३९-१४॥
preṣyair utsāryamāṇas tu rājan arvāvasus tadā। na mayā brahmahatyeyaṃ kṛtet y āha punaḥ punaḥ॥03-139-14॥
[प्रेष्यैः (preṣyaiḥ) - by attendants; उत्सार्यमाणः (utsāryamāṇaḥ) - being driven away; तु (tu) - but; राजन् (rājan) - O king; अर्वावसुः (arvāvasuḥ) - Arvāvasu (proper noun); तदा (tadā) - then; न (na) - not; मया (mayā) - by me; ब्रह्महत्येयं (brahmahatyeyaṃ) - this killing of a Brāhmaṇa; कृतेति (kṛte iti) - was done—so; आह (āha) - he said; पुनः पुनः (punaḥ punaḥ) - again and again;]
(But being driven away by attendants, O king, then Arvāvasu said again and again: 'This killing of a Brāhmaṇa was not done by me.' (03-139-14))
But, O king, as Arvāvasu was being driven away by the attendants at that time, he repeatedly said, 'This Brāhmaṇa-slaying was not committed by me.' (03-139-14)
उच्यमानोऽसकृत्प्रेष्यैर्ब्रह्महन्निति भारत। नैव स प्रतिजानाति ब्रह्महत्यां स्वयं कृताम् ॥ मम भ्रात्रा कृतमिदं मया तु परिरक्षितम् ॥०३-१३९-१५॥
ucyamāno'sakṛt-preṣyaiḥ brahmahann iti bhārata। naiva sa pratijānāti brahmahatyāṃ svayaṃ kṛtām ॥ mama bhrātrā kṛtam idaṃ mayā tu parirakṣitam ॥03-139-15॥
[उच्यमानः (ucyamānaḥ) - being told; असकृत् (asakṛt) - repeatedly; प्रेष्यैः (preṣyaiḥ) - by the servants; ब्रह्महन् (brahmahan) - O slayer of a brāhmaṇa; इति (iti) - thus; भारत (bhārata) - O descendant of Bharata; न (na) - not; एव (eva) - indeed; सः (saḥ) - he; प्रतिजानाति (pratijānāti) - admits; ब्रह्महत्याम् (brahmahatyām) - the murder of a brāhmaṇa; स्वयम् (svayam) - himself; कृताम् (kṛtām) - done; मम (mama) - by me; भ्रात्रा (bhrātrā) - by (my) brother; कृतम् (kṛtam) - done; इदम् (idam) - this; मया (mayā) - by me; तु (tu) - but; परिरक्षितम् (parirakṣitam) - protected;]
(Being called repeatedly by the servants, "O slayer of a brāhmaṇa," O Bhārata, he does not at all admit the brāhmaṇa-murder as done by himself. This was done by my brother; but by me it was protected. (03-139-15))
Although he is repeatedly called by the servants, "O slayer of a brāhmaṇa," O Bhārata, he never acknowledges having committed the brāhmaṇa-murder himself. This was done by my brother; as for me, I only protected it. (03-139-15)
प्रीतास्तस्याभवन्देवाः कर्मणार्वावसोर्नृप। तं ते प्रवरयामासुर्निरासुश्च परावसुम् ॥०३-१३९-१६॥
prītās tasyābhavan devāḥ karmaṇā arvāvasoḥ nṛpa। taṃ te pravarayāmāsur nirāsuś ca parāvasum ॥03-139-16॥
[प्रीताः (prītāḥ) - pleased; तस्य (tasya) - of him; अभवन् (abhavan) - became; देवाः (devāḥ) - the gods; कर्मणा (karmaṇā) - by the act; अर्वावसोः (arvāvasoḥ) - of Arvāvasu; नृप (nṛpa) - O king; तं (taṃ) - him; ते (te) - they; प्रवरयामासुः (pravarayāmāsuḥ) - chose; निरासुः (nirāsuḥ) - rejected; च (ca) - and; परावसुम् (parāvasum) - Parāvasu;]
(Pleased, of him became the gods by the act, of Arvāvasu, O king. Him they chose, and they rejected Parāvasu.)

ततो देवा वरं तस्मै ददुरग्निपुरोगमाः। स चापि वरयामास पितुरुत्थानमात्मनः ॥०३-१३९-१७॥
tato devā varaṃ tasmai dadur agnipurogamāḥ। sa cāpi varayāmāsa pitur utthānam ātmanaḥ ॥03-139-17॥
[ततः (tataḥ) - then; देवाः (devāḥ) - the gods; वरम् (varam) - a boon; तस्मै (tasmai) - to him; ददुः (daduḥ) - gave; अग्निपुरोगमाः (agnipurogamāḥ) - with Agni at the forefront; सः (saḥ) - he; च (ca) - and; अपि (api) - also; वरयामास (varayāmāsa) - chose; पितुः (pituḥ) - of his father; उत्थानम् (utthānam) - rising; आत्मनः (ātmanaḥ) - for himself;]
(Then the gods, with Agni at the forefront, gave a boon to him. And he also chose the rising of his father for himself.)

अनागस्त्वं तथा भ्रातुः पितुश्चास्मरणं वधे। भरद्वाजस्य चोत्थानं यवक्रीतस्य चोभयोः ॥०३-१३९-१८॥

[अनागस्त्वं (anāgastvam) - not-being-Agastya; (absence of Agastya) तथा (tathā) - so; thus; भ्रातुः (bhrātuḥ) - of the brother; पितुश्च (pituś ca) - and of the father; अस्मरणं (asmaraṇam) - not-remembering; वधे (vadhe) - in the killing; भरद्वाजस्य (bharadvājasya) - of Bharadvāja; च (ca) - and; उत्थानं (utthānam) - rising; resurrection; यवक्रीतस्य (yavakrītasya) - of Yavakrīta; च (ca) - and; उभयोः (ubhayoḥ) - of both;]
(Not-being-Agastya, thus of the brother and of the father not-remembering in the killing; of Bharadvāja and the resurrection of Yavakrīta, and of both.)
The absence of Agastya, thus the brother and the father not being remembered at the killing; and the resurrection of both Bharadvāja and Yavakrīta. (03-139-18)
ततः प्रादुर्बभूवुस्ते सर्व एव युधिष्ठिर। अथाब्रवीद्यवक्रीतो देवानग्निपुरोगमान् ॥०३-१३९-१९॥

(Then appeared they all indeed, O Yudhiṣṭhira. Then Yavakrīta spoke to the gods led by Agni.)
Then all of them appeared, O Yudhiṣṭhira. Thereupon Yavakrīta spoke to the gods headed by Agni. (03-139-19)
समधीतं मया ब्रह्म व्रतानि चरितानि च। कथं नु रैभ्यः शक्तो मामधीयानं तपस्विनम् ॥ तथायुक्तेन विधिना निहन्तुममरोत्तमाः ॥०३-१३९-२०॥
samadhītaṃ mayā brahma vratāni caritāni ca. kathaṃ nu raibhyaḥ śakto mām adhīyānaṃ tapasvinam ॥ tathāyuktena vidhinā nihantum amarottamāḥ ॥03-139-20॥
[समधीतं (samadhītam) - well-studied; thoroughly learnt; मया (mayā) - by me; ब्रह्म (brahma) - the Veda; व्रतानि (vratāni) - vows; religious observances; चरितानि (caritāni) - have been performed; च (ca) - and; कथं (kathaṃ) - how; नु (nu) - indeed; रैभ्यः (raibhyaḥ) - Raibhya (proper noun); शक्तः (śaktaḥ) - able; capable; माम् (mām) - me; अधीयानम् (adhīyānam) - studying; one who is reciting (the Veda); तपस्विनम् (tapasvinam) - ascetic; practitioner of asceticism; तथा (tathā) - in such manner; thus; युक्तेन (yuktena) - by suitable; by proper; विधिना (vidhinā) - means; method; way; निहन्तुम् (nihantum) - to kill; to destroy; अमरोत्तमाः (amarottamāḥ) - best among the immortals; gods;]
(Well-studied by me is the Veda; vows have been performed and. How indeed is Raibhya able me, who is studying, ascetic, thus by such suitable means by the best among the immortals, to destroy? (03-139-20))
I have thoroughly studied the Veda and performed the vows. How indeed is Raibhya, through such proper means sanctioned by the best among the immortals, able to destroy me, an ascetic engaged in study? (03-139-20)
देवा ऊचुः॥

मैवं कृथा यवक्रीत यथा वदसि वै मुने। ऋते गुरुमधीता हि सुखं वेदास्त्वया पुरा ॥०३-१३९-२१॥
maivaṃ kṛthā yavakrīta yathā vadasi vai mune। ṛte gurum adhītā hi sukhaṃ vedās tvayā purā ॥03-139-21॥
[मैवं (ma-ivaṃ) - not thus; कृथा (kṛthā) - do (you) act; यवक्रीत (yavakrīta) - O Yavakrīta; यथा (yathā) - as; वदसि (vadasi) - (you) say; वै (vai) - indeed; मुने (mune) - O sage; ऋते (ṛte) - without; गुरुम् (gurum) - teacher; अधीता (adhītā) - have studied; हि (hi) - for; सुखम् (sukham) - easily; वेदाः (vedāḥ) - Vedas; त्वया (tvayā) - by you; पुरा (purā) - formerly;]
(Not thus do (you) act, O Yavakrīta, as you indeed say, O sage. Without teacher have studied for easily Vedas by you formerly.)
O Yavakrīta, do not act in this way as you claim, O sage. Formerly, you studied the Vedas easily without a teacher. (03-139-21)
अनेन तु गुरून्दुःखात्तोषयित्वा स्वकर्मणा। कालेन महता क्लेशाद्ब्रह्माधिगतमुत्तमम् ॥०३-१३९-२२॥
anena tu gurūn duḥkhāt toṣayitvā svakarmaṇā। kālena mahatā kleśād brahmādhigatam uttamam ॥03-139-22॥
[अनेन (anena) - by this; तु (tu) - but; गुरून् (gurūn) - gurus; दुःखात् (duḥkhāt) - from suffering; तोषयित्वा (toṣayitvā) - having satisfied; स्वकर्मणा (svakarmaṇā) - by his own action; कालेन (kālena) - by time; महता (mahatā) - great; क्लेशात् (kleśāt) - from hardship; ब्रह्माधिगतम् (brahmādhigatam) - the highest (uttamam) Brahman attained; उत्तमम् (uttamam) - supreme;]
(By this, but having satisfied the gurus from suffering with his own action, by great time, from hardship, the supreme Brahman attained.)
But by this, having pleased the gurus through his own actions amidst suffering and hardship over a long time, he attained the supreme Brahman. (03-139-22)
लोमश उवाच॥

यवक्रीतमथोक्त्वैवं देवाः साग्निपुरोगमाः। सञ्जीवयित्वा तान्सर्वान्पुनर्जग्मुस्त्रिविष्टपम् ॥०३-१३९-२३॥
yavakrītam atha uktva evaṁ devāḥ sa-agnipurōgamāḥ. sañjīvitvā tān sarvān punar jagmuḥ triviṣṭapam ॥03-139-23॥
[यवक्रीतम् (yavakrītam) - to Yavakrīta; अथ (atha) - then; उक्त्वा (uktvā) - having said; एवम् (evam) - thus; देवाः (devāḥ) - the gods; साग्निपुरोगमाः (sa-agnipurōgamāḥ) - with Agni at the forefront; सञ्जीवयित्वा (sañjīvitvā) - having revived; तान् (tān) - them; सर्वान् (sarvān) - all; पुनः (punaḥ) - again; जग्मुः (jagmuḥ) - went; त्रिविष्टपम् (triviṣṭapam) - to heaven;]
(To Yavakrīta, then having said thus, the gods with Agni at the forefront, having revived all them, again went to heaven.)
Then, having thus spoken to Yavakrīta, the gods led by Agni revived all of them and returned again to heaven. (03-139-23)
आश्रमस्तस्य पुण्योऽयं सदापुष्पफलद्रुमः। अत्रोष्य राजशार्दूल सर्वपापैः प्रमोक्ष्यसे ॥०३-१३९-२४॥
āśramas tasya puṇyo 'yaṁ sadā-puṣpa-phala-drumaḥ। atroṣya rāja-śārdūla sarva-pāpaiḥ pramokṣyase ॥03-139-24॥
[आश्रमः (āśramaḥ) - spiritual hermitage; तस्य (tasya) - his; पुण्यः (puṇyaḥ) - holy; अयम् (ayam) - this; सदा (sadā) - always; पुष्पफलद्रुमः (puṣpa-phala-drumaḥ) - tree bearing flowers and fruits; अत्र (atra) - here; उष्य (uṣya) - having dwelt; राजशार्दूल (rāja-śārdūla) - O tiger among kings; सर्वपापैः (sarva-pāpaiḥ) - from all sins; प्रमोक्ष्यसे (pramokṣyase) - you will be released;]
(āśramaḥ tasya puṇyaḥ ayam sadā puṣpa-phala-drumaḥ। atra uṣya rāja-śārdūla sarva-pāpaiḥ pramokṣyase ॥03-139-24॥ — The hermitage of his, holy, this, always flowers-and-fruits tree; here, having dwelt, O tiger among kings, from all sins you will be released.)
This holy hermitage of his, always adorned with trees bearing flowers and fruits; here, O tiger among kings, having dwelt, you will be freed from all sins. (03-139-24)
