अन्तर्हितानि भूतानि रक्षांसि बलवन्ति च। अग्निना तपसा चैव शक्यं गन्तुं वृकोदर ॥०३-१४१-१॥
antarhitāni bhūtāni rakṣāṃsi balavanti ca। agninā tapasā caiva śakyaṃ gantuṃ vṛkodara ॥03-141-1॥
[अन्तर्हितानि (antarhitāni) - hidden; भूतानि (bhūtāni) - beings; रक्षांसि (rakṣāṃsi) - rākṣasas (demons); बलवन्ति (balavanti) - powerful; च (ca) - and; अग्निना (agninā) - by fire; तपसा (tapasā) - by austerity; च (ca) - and; एव (eva) - indeed; शक्यं (śakyaṃ) - possible; गन्तुं (gantuṃ) - to go; वृकोदर (vṛkodara) - Vṛkodara;]
(Hidden beings and powerful rākṣasas, by fire and by austerity indeed, it is possible to go, O Vṛkodara.)
O Vṛkodara, it is possible to approach hidden beings and powerful rākṣasas by means of fire and austerity. (03-141-1)
संनिवर्तय कौन्तेय क्षुत्पिपासे बलान्वयात्। ततो बलं च दाक्ष्यं च संश्रयस्व कुरूद्वह ॥०३-१४१-२॥
saṁnivartaya kaunteya kṣutpipāse balānvayāt। tato balaṁ ca dākṣyaṁ ca saṁśrayasva kurūdvaha॥03-141-2॥
[संनिवर्तय (saṁnivartaya) - cause to turn away; कौन्तेय (kaunteya) - O son of Kunti; क्षुत्पिपासे (kṣutpipāse) - hunger and thirst; बलान्वयात् (balānvayāt) - by exertion of strength; ततः (tataḥ) - then; बलं (balaṁ) - strength; च (ca) - and; दाक्ष्यं (dākṣyaṁ) - skill; च (ca) - and; संश्रयस्व (saṁśrayasva) - take refuge in; कुरूद्वह (kurūdvaha) - O best of the Kurus;]
(Cause to turn away, O son of Kunti, hunger and thirst by exertion of strength; then strength and skill and take refuge in, O best of the Kurus.)
O son of Kunti, repel hunger and thirst through strength; then take recourse to strength and skill, O best of the Kurus. (03-141-2)
ऋषेस्त्वया श्रुतं वाक्यं कैलासं पर्वतं प्रति। बुद्ध्या प्रपश्य कौन्तेय कथं कृष्णा गमिष्यति ॥०३-१४१-३॥
ṛṣes tvayā śrutaṁ vākyaṁ kailāsaṁ parvataṁ prati। buddhyā prapaśya kaunteya kathaṁ kṛṣṇā gamiṣyati॥03-141-3॥
[ऋषेः (ṛṣeḥ) - of the sage; त्वया (tvayā) - by you; श्रुतं (śrutam) - heard; वाक्यम् (vākyam) - statement; कैलासम् (kailāsam) - Kailāsa; पर्वतम् (parvatam) - mountain; प्रति (prati) - towards; बुद्ध्या (buddhyā) - with intelligence; प्रपश्य (prapaśya) - perceive; कौन्तेय (kaunteya) - O son of Kuntī; कथम् (katham) - how; कृष्णा (kṛṣṇā) - Kṛṣṇā; गमिष्यति (gamiṣyati) - will go;]
(O son of Kuntī, the statement of the sage has been heard by you towards the mountain Kailāsa; with intelligence perceive how Kṛṣṇā will go.)
O son of Kuntī, you have heard the sage's statement about going towards Mount Kailāsa; now, with discernment, consider how Kṛṣṇā will make the journey. (03-141-3)
अथ वा सहदेवेन धौम्येन च सहाभिभो। सूदैः पौरोगवैश्चैव सर्वैश्च परिचारकैः ॥०३-१४१-४॥
atha vā sahadevena dhaumyena ca sahābhibho। sūdaiḥ paurogavaiścaiva sarvaiśca paricārakaiḥ॥03-141-4॥
[अथ (atha) - then; वा (vā) - or; सहदेवेन (sahadevena) - by Sahadeva; धौम्येन (dhaumyena) - by Dhaumya; च (ca) - and; सह (saha) - together with; अभिभो (abhibho) - O lord; सूदैः (sūdaiḥ) - by cooks; पौरोगवैः (paurogavaiḥ) - by household priests; च (ca) - and; एव (eva) - indeed; सर्वैः (sarvaiḥ) - by all; च (ca) - and; परिचारकैः (paricārakaiḥ) - by attendants;]
(Then or by Sahadeva, by Dhaumya and together with, O lord, by cooks, by household priests indeed, by all and by attendants.)
Then, O lord, together with Sahadeva, Dhaumya, with cooks, household priests, and all the attendants. (03-141-4)
रथैरश्वैश्च ये चान्ये विप्राः क्लेशासहाः पथि। सर्वैस्त्वं सहितो भीम निवर्तस्वायतेक्षण ॥०३-१४१-५॥
rathair aśvaiś ca ye ca anye viprāḥ kleśa-sahāḥ pathi। sarvaiḥ tvaṁ sahitaḥ bhīma nivartasva āyata-īkṣaṇa ॥03-141-5॥
[रथैः (rathaiḥ) - with chariots; अश्वैः (aśvaiḥ) - with horses; च (ca) - and; ये (ye) - who; च (ca) - and; अन्ये (anye) - others; विप्राः (viprāḥ) - brahmins; क्लेशसहाः (kleśa-sahāḥ) - enduring hardships; पथि (pathi) - on the path; सर्वैः (sarvaiḥ) - with all; त्वं (tvaṁ) - you; सहितः (sahitaḥ) - together; भीम (bhīma) - Bhima; निवर्तस्व (nivartasva) - turn back; आयतेक्षण (āyata-īkṣaṇa) - long-eyed (one);]
(With chariots, with horses, and who and others, brahmins, enduring hardships on the path; with all, you, together, Bhima, turn back, long-eyed (one).)
Bhima, long-eyed one, together with all—those with chariots, horses, and the other brahmins who endure hardships on the path—turn back. (03-141-5)
त्रयो वयं गमिष्यामो लघ्वाहारा यतव्रताः। अहं च नकुलश्चैव लोमशश्च महातपाः ॥०३-१४१-६॥
trayo vayaṁ gamiṣyāmo laghvāhārā yatavratāḥ। ahaṁ ca nakulaścaiva lomaśaśca mahātapāḥ॥03-141-6॥
[त्रयः (trayaḥ) - three; वयम् (vayam) - we; गमिष्यामः (gamiṣyāmaḥ) - shall go; लघु-आहाराः (laghu-āhārāḥ) - having light food; यतव्रताः (yatavratāḥ) - self-restrained in vow; अहम् (aham) - I; च (ca) - and; नकुलः (nakulaḥ) - Nakula; च (ca) - and; एव (eva) - indeed; लोमशः (lomaśaḥ) - Lomaśa; च (ca) - and; महातपाः (mahātapāḥ) - of great austerity;]
(Three we shall go, having light food, self-restrained in vow; I and Nakula and indeed Lomaśa, and (he is) of great austerity.)
Three of us shall go, taking only light food and observing self-restraint in vow; I, Nakula, and Lomaśa, who is of great austerity. (03-141-6)
ममागमनमाकाङ्क्षन्गङ्गाद्वारे समाहितः। वसेह द्रौपदीं रक्षन्यावदागमनं मम ॥०३-१४१-७॥
mamāgamana-m-ākāṅkṣan gaṅgādvāre samāhitaḥ। vaseha draupadīṃ rakṣan yāvad āgamanaṃ mama॥03-141-7॥
[मम (mama) - my; आगमनम् (āgamanam) - arrival; आकाङ्क्षन् (ākāṅkṣan) - desiring; गङ्गाद्वारे (gaṅgādvāre) - at the gates of Ganga (place name); समाहितः (samāhitaḥ) - settled; composed; वस (vasa) - dwell; इह (iha) - here; द्रौपदीम् (draupadīm) - Draupadī; रक्षन् (rakṣan) - protecting; यावत् (yāvat) - until; आगमनम् (āgamanam) - arrival; मम (mama) - my;]
(Desiring my arrival, composed at Gaṅgādvāra, dwell here protecting Draupadī until my arrival.)
While awaiting my return, remain composed at Gaṅgādvāra, and stay here protecting Draupadī until I come back. (03-141-7)
भीम उवाच॥

राजपुत्री श्रमेणार्ता दुःखार्ता चैव भारत। व्रजत्येव हि कल्याणी श्वेतवाहदिदृक्षया ॥०३-१४१-८॥
rājaputrī śrameṇārtā duḥkhārtā caiva bhārata। vrajatyeva hi kalyāṇī śvetavāhadidṛkṣayā ॥03-141-8॥
[राजपुत्री (rājaputrī) - royal daughter; (princess;) श्रमेण (śrameṇa) - by (physical) exertion; आर्ता (ārtā) - afflicted; दुःखार्ता (duḥkhārtā) - afflicted by suffering; च (ca) - and; एव (eva) - indeed; भारत (bhārata) - O Bhārata; व्रजति (vrajati) - she goes; एव (eva) - indeed; हि (hi) - certainly; कल्याणी (kalyāṇī) - auspicious lady; श्वेतवाह-दिदृक्षया (śvetavāha-didṛkṣayā) - with the desire to see the white-horsed (one; charioteer; etc.);]
(The royal daughter, afflicted by (physical) exertion, and afflicted by suffering indeed, O Bhārata, the auspicious lady certainly indeed goes with the desire to see the white-horsed (one). (03-141-8))
O Bhārata, the princess, afflicted by fatigue and suffering, indeed goes forth, the blessed lady, with the wish to see the one with white horses. (03-141-8)
तव चाप्यरतिस्तीव्रा वर्धते तमपश्यतः। किं पुनः सहदेवं च मां च कृष्णां च भारत ॥०३-१४१-९॥
tava cāpyaratistīvrā vardhate tamapaśyataḥ। kiṁ punaḥ sahadevaṁ ca māṁ ca kṛṣṇāṁ ca bhārata ॥03-141-9॥
[तव (tava) - your; च (ca) - and; अपि (api) - also; अरतिः (aratiḥ) - displeasure; तीव्रा (tīvrā) - intense; वर्धते (vardhate) - increases; तम् (tam) - him; अपश्यतः (apaśyataḥ) - on seeing; किम् (kim) - what; पुनः (punaḥ) - then; सहदेवम् (sahadevam) - Sahadeva; च (ca) - and; माम् (mām) - me; च (ca) - and; कृष्णाम् (kṛṣṇām) - Kṛṣṇā (Draupadi); च (ca) - and; भारत (bhārata) - O Bhārata;]
(Your intense displeasure also increases, on seeing him; what then (to speak of) Sahadeva and me and Kṛṣṇā, O Bhārata?)
Your intense displeasure increases even seeing him; what then to say of Sahadeva, myself, and Kṛṣṇā, O Bhārata? (03-141-9)
रथाः कामं निवर्तन्तां सर्वे च परिचारकाः। सूदाः पौरोगवाश्चैव मन्यते यत्र नो भवान् ॥०३-१४१-१०॥
rathāḥ kāmaṃ nivartantāṃ sarve ca paricārakāḥ। sūdāḥ paurogavāścaiva manyate yatra no bhavān ॥03-141-10॥
[रथाः (rathāḥ) - chariots; कामं (kāmaṃ) - as desired; निवर्तन्तां (nivartantāṃ) - let them return; सर्वे (sarve) - all; च (ca) - and; परिचारकाः (paricārakāḥ) - attendants; सूदाः (sūdāḥ) - charioteers; पौरोगवाः (paurogavāḥ) - priests; च (ca) - and; एव (eva) - indeed; मन्यते (manyate) - thinks; यत्र (yatra) - where; नो (no) - to us; भवान् (bhavān) - your honor;]
(Let the chariots as desired return, all and attendants; charioteers, priests and indeed where your honor thinks for us.)
Let all the chariots return as they wish, along with all the attendants, charioteers, and priests—wherever your honor considers appropriate for us. (03-141-10)
न ह्यहं हातुमिच्छामि भवन्तमिह कर्हिचित्। शैलेऽस्मिन्राक्षसाकीर्णे दुर्गेषु विषमेषु च ॥०३-१४१-११॥
na hyahaṃ hātum icchāmi bhavantam iha karhicit। śaile'smin rākṣasākīrṇe durgeṣu viṣameṣu ca॥03-141-11॥
[न (na) - not; हि (hi) - indeed; अहं (ahaṃ) - I; हातुम् (hātum) - to abandon; इच्छामि (icchāmi) - wish; भवन्तम् (bhavantam) - you; (respectful singular) इह (iha) - here; कर्हिचित् (karhicit) - at any time; शैलेऽस्मिन् (śaile'smin) - on this mountain; राक्षसाकीर्णे (rākṣasākīrṇe) - infested with rākṣasas; दुर्गेषु (durgeṣu) - in fortresses; विषमेषु (viṣameṣu) - in difficult places; च (ca) - and;]
(Not indeed I wish to abandon you here at any time, on this mountain infested with rākṣasas, in fortresses, and in difficult places.)
Indeed, I do not wish to abandon you here at any time, whether on this mountain filled with rākṣasas, in fortresses, or in difficult places. (03-141-11)
इयं चापि महाभागा राजपुत्री यतव्रता। त्वामृते पुरुषव्याघ्र नोत्सहेद्विनिवर्तितुम् ॥०३-१४१-१२॥
iyaṃ cāpi mahābhāgā rājaputrī yatavratā। tvāmṛte puruṣavyāghra notsahedvinivartitum ॥03-141-12॥
[इयं (iyaṃ) - this (woman); च (ca) - and; अपि (api) - also; महाभागा (mahābhāgā) - very fortunate; राजपुत्री (rājaputrī) - princess; यतव्रता (yatavratā) - devoted to discipline; त्वाम् (tvām) - you; ऋते (ṛte) - without; पुरुषव्याघ्र (puruṣavyāghra) - tiger among men; न (na) - not; उत्सहेत् (utsahet) - would be able; विनिवर्तितुम् (vinivartitum) - to turn away;]
(This, and also, very fortunate, princess, devoted to discipline, without you, tiger among men, would not be able to turn away.)
This highly fortunate, disciplined princess also, O tiger among men, would not be able to turn away without you. (03-141-12)
तथैव सहदेवोऽयं सततं त्वामनुव्रतः। न जातु विनिवर्तेत मतज्ञो ह्यहमस्य वै ॥०३-१४१-१३॥
tathaiva sahadevo'yaṃ satataṃ tvāmanuvrataḥ। na jātu vinivarteta matajño hy ahamasya vai॥03-141-13॥
[तथैव (tathaiva) - just so; in the same way; सहदेवः (sahadevaḥ) - Sahadeva; अयम् (ayam) - this; सततम् (satatam) - always; त्वाम् (tvām) - you; अनुव्रतः (anuvrataḥ) - devoted to; following; न (na) - not; जातु (jātu) - ever; विनिवर्तेत (vinivarteta) - would turn away; मतज्ञः (matajñaḥ) - knower of intention; understanding (your) thought; हि (hi) - indeed; अहम् (aham) - I; अस्य (asya) - of him; वै (vai) - truly; certainly;]
(Just so Sahadeva, this (one), always devoted to you. Never ever would turn away, a knower of intention, indeed I (am) of him, truly.)
Just so, Sahadeva here is always devoted to you; he would never turn away, for I truly know his mind. (03-141-13)
अपि चात्र महाराज सव्यसाचिदिदृक्षया। सर्वे लालसभूताः स्म तस्माद्यास्यामहे सह ॥०३-१४१-१४॥
api cātra mahārāja savyasācididṛkṣayā. sarve lālasabhūtāḥ sma tasmādyāsyāmahe saha ॥03-141-14॥
[अपि (api) - indeed; च (ca) - and; अत्र (atra) - here; महाराज (mahārāja) - O great king; सव्यसाचि (savyasāci) - Savyasācin (ambidextrous one, Arjuna); इदिदृक्षया (ididṛkṣayā) - with desire to see; सर्वे (sarve) - all; लालसभूताः (lālasabhūtāḥ) - become eager; स्म (sma) - indeed; तस्मात् (tasmāt) - therefore; यास्यामहे (yāsyāmahe) - let us go; सह (saha) - together;]
(Indeed and here, O great king, with a desire to see Savyasācin, all have become eager; indeed, therefore, let us go together.)
Moreover, O great king, here, with the desire to see Savyasācin, we have all become eager; therefore, let us all go together. (03-141-14)
यद्यशक्यो रथैर्गन्तुं शैलोऽयं बहुकन्दरः। पद्भिरेव गमिष्यामो मा राजन्विमना भव ॥०३-१४१-१५॥
yadyaśakyo rathairgantuṃ śailo'yaṃ bahukandaraḥ। padbhireva gamiṣyāmo mā rājanvimanā bhava॥03-141-15॥
[यदि (yadi) (yadi) - if; अशक्यः (aśakyaḥ) (aśakyaḥ) - not possible; रथैः (rathaiḥ) (rathaiḥ) - by chariots; गन्तुम् (gantum) (gantum) - to go; शैलः (śailaḥ) (śailaḥ) - mountain; अयम् (ayam) (ayam) - this; बहुकन्दरः (bahukandaraḥ) (bahukandaraḥ) - having many caves; पद्भिः (padbhiḥ) (padbhiḥ) - by feet; एव (eva) (eva) - only; गमिष्यामः (gamiṣyāmaḥ) (gamiṣyāmaḥ) - we will go; मा (mā) (mā) - do not; राजन् (rājan) (rājan) - O king; विमनाः (vimanāḥ) (vimanāḥ) - dejected; भव (bhava) (bhava) - be;]
(If not possible by chariots to go, this mountain with many caves, by feet only we will go; do not, O king, be dejected.)
If it is not possible to proceed on this mountain with many caves by chariots, we will go on foot only; do not be disheartened, O king. (03-141-15)
अहं वहिष्ये पाञ्चालीं यत्र यत्र न शक्ष्यति। इति मे वर्तते बुद्धिर्मा राजन्विमना भव ॥०३-१४१-१६॥
ahaṃ vahiṣye pāñcālīṃ yatra yatra na śakṣyati। iti me vartate buddhir mā rājan vimana bhava ॥03-141-16॥
[अहं (ahaṃ) - I; वहिष्ये (vahiṣye) - shall carry; पाञ्चालीं (pāñcālīṃ) - Pañcālī (Draupadī); यत्र यत्र (yatra yatra) - wherever; न (na) - not; शक्ष्यति (śakṣyati) - she will be able; इति (iti) - thus; मे (me) - my; वर्तते (vartate) - is (has been, exists); बुद्धिः (buddhiḥ) - thought; मा (mā) - do not; राजन् (rājan) - O king; विमना (vimana) - disheartened; भव (bhava) - be;]
(I shall carry Pañcālī wherever she will not be able. Thus my thought exists; do not, O king, be disheartened.)
I will carry Pañcālī wherever she is unable; this is my intention—do not be downhearted, O king. (03-141-16)
सुकुमारौ तथा वीरौ माद्रीनन्दिकरावुभौ। दुर्गे सन्तारयिष्यामि यद्यशक्तौ भविष्यतः ॥०३-१४१-१७॥
sukumārau tathā vīrau mādrī-nandikarau ubhau। durge santārayiṣyāmi yady aśaktau bhaviṣyataḥ॥03-141-17॥
[सुकुमारौ (sukumārau) - delicate ones; तथा (tathā) - likewise; वीरौ (vīrau) - heroic ones; माद्री (mādrī) - Mādri (proper name, feminine, in compound); नन्दिकरौ (nandikarau) - delighting (bringing joy to); उभौ (ubhau) - both; दुर्गे (durge) - in difficulty; सन्तारयिष्यामि (santārayiṣyāmi) - I shall cause to cross (deliver over); यदि (yadi) - if; अशक्तौ (aśaktau) - unable; powerless; भविष्यतः (bhaviṣyataḥ) - will become;]
(Delicate ones likewise heroic ones, Mādri-delighting both, in difficulty I shall cause to cross, if they will become powerless.)
If both the delicate and heroic sons of Mādri become powerless in difficulty, I will deliver them. (03-141-17)

Yudhiṣṭhira said.
एवं ते भाषमाणस्य बलं भीमाभिवर्धताम्। यस्त्वमुत्सहसे वोढुं द्रौपदीं विपुलेऽध्वनि ॥०३-१४१-१८॥
evaṃ te bhāṣamāṇasya balaṃ bhīmābhivardhatām। yastvamutsahase voḍhuṃ draupadīṃ vipule'dhvani ॥03-141-18॥
[एवं (evaṃ) - thus; ते (te) - your; भाषमाणस्य (bhāṣamāṇasya) - while speaking; बलं (balaṃ) - strength; भीम-अभिवर्धताम् (bhīma-abhivardhatām) - let it increase greatly; यः (yaḥ) - who; त्वम् (tvam) - you; उत्सहसे (utsahase) - are able; वोढुम् (voḍhum) - to bear; द्रौपदीम् (draupadīm) - Draupadī; विपुले (vipule) - vast; अध्वनि (adhvani) - on the road;]
(Thus, of you, who are speaking, let the strength greatly increase, you who are able to bear Draupadī on the vast road.)
Thus, as you were speaking, may your strength grow exceedingly, you who are able to carry Draupadī on the broad road. (03-141-18)
यमजौ चापि भद्रं ते नैतदन्यत्र विद्यते। बलं च ते यशश्चैव धर्मः कीर्तिश्च वर्धताम् ॥०३-१४१-१९॥
yamajau cāpi bhadraṃ te naitadanyatra vidyate। balaṃ ca te yaśaścaiva dharmaḥ kīrtiśca vardhatām ॥03-141-19॥
[यमजौ (yamajau) - the two sons of Yama (i.e., Yama’s twins, typically referring to Yama and his brother); च (ca) - and; अपि (api) - also; भद्रं (bhadram) - well-being; auspiciousness; ते (te) - to you; न (na) - not; एतत् (etat) - this; अन्यत्र (anyatra) - elsewhere; in another place; विद्यते (vidyate) - exists; बलं (balaṃ) - strength; च (ca) - and; ते (te) - your; यशः (yaśaḥ) - fame; च (ca) - and; एव (eva) - indeed; धर्मः (dharmaḥ) - virtue; कीर्तिः (kīrtiḥ) - glory; च (ca) - and; वर्धताम् (vardhatām) - may increase;]
(The twins of Yama and also, may auspiciousness be to you. This does not exist elsewhere. And strength and your fame, indeed virtue and glory, may increase.)
May the twins of Yama and also auspiciousness be with you. This is not found elsewhere. May your strength, fame, virtue, and glory ever increase. (03-141-19)
यस्त्वमुत्सहसे नेतुं भ्रातरौ सह कृष्णया। मा ते ग्लानिर्महाबाहो मा च तेऽस्तु पराभवः ॥०३-१४१-२०॥
yas tvam utsahase netum bhrātarau saha kṛṣṇayā. mā te glānir mahābāho mā ca te 'stu parābhavaḥ ॥03-141-20॥
[यः (yaḥ) - who; त्वम् (tvam) - you; उत्सहसे (utsahase) - are able; नेतुं (netum) - to lead; भ्रातरौ (bhrātarau) - the two brothers; सह (saha) - together with; कृष्णया (kṛṣṇayā) - with Kṛṣṇā; मा (mā) - do not; ते (te) - to you; ग्लानिः (glāniḥ) - weakness; महाबाहो (mahābāho) - O mighty-armed; मा (mā) - do not; च (ca) - and; ते (te) - to you; अस्तु (astu) - let there be; पराभवः (parābhavaḥ) - defeat;]
(Who you are able to lead the two brothers together with Kṛṣṇā; let not weakness be to you, O mighty-armed, and let there not be to you defeat.)
You, who are able to lead both brothers together with Kṛṣṇā, O mighty-armed one, may no weakness come to you, and may you never meet defeat. (03-141-20)
वैशम्पायन उवाच॥

ततः कृष्णाब्रवीद्वाक्यं प्रहसन्ती मनोरमा। गमिष्यामि न सन्तापः कार्यो मां प्रति भारत ॥०३-१४१-२१॥
tataḥ kṛṣṇābravīd vākyaṃ prahasantī manoramā। gamiṣyāmi na santāpaḥ kāryo māṃ prati bhārata ॥03-141-21॥
[ततः (tataḥ) - then; कृष्णा (kṛṣṇā) - Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī); अब्रवीत् (abravīt) - said; वाक्यम् (vākyaṃ) - speech; प्रहसन्ती (prahasantī) - smiling; मनोरमा (manoramā) - charming; गमिष्यामि (gamiṣyāmi) - I shall go; न (na) - not; सन्तापः (santāpaḥ) - grief; कार्यः (kāryaḥ) - should be made; माम् (mām) - towards me; प्रत् (prati) - towards; भारत (bhārata) - O Bhārata;]
(Then Kṛṣṇā, charming and smiling, said the speech: "I shall go; grief should not be made towards me, O Bhārata." (03-141-21))
Then Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī), charming and smiling, said: "I will go; do not grieve for me, O Bhārata." (03-141-21)

तपसा शक्यते गन्तुं पर्वतो गन्धमादनः। तपसा चैव कौन्तेय सर्वे योक्ष्यामहे वयम् ॥०३-१४१-२२॥
tapasā śakyate gantuṃ parvato gandhamādanaḥ। tapasā caiva kaunteya sarve yokṣyāmahe vayam॥03-141-22॥
[तपसा (tapasā) - by austerity; शक्यते (śakyate) - is possible; गन्तुम् (gantum) - to go; पर्वतः (parvataḥ) - mountain; गन्धमादनः (gandhamādanaḥ) - Gandhamādana; तपसा (tapasā) - by austerity; च (ca) - and; एव (eva) - indeed; कौन्तेय (kaunteya) - O son of Kunti; सर्वे (sarve) - all; योक्ष्यामहे (yokṣyāmahe) - we shall enjoy; वयम् (vayam) - we;]
(By austerity, it is possible to go to the Gandhamādana mountain; by austerity alone indeed, O son of Kunti, all we shall enjoy.)
By austerity it is possible to reach the mountain Gandhamādana; by austerity alone, O son of Kunti, we all shall truly enjoy. (03-141-22)
नकुलः सहदेवश्च भीमसेनश्च पार्थिव। अहं च त्वं च कौन्तेय द्रक्ष्यामः श्वेतवाहनम् ॥०३-१४१-२३॥
nakulaḥ sahadevaś ca bhīmasenaś ca pārthiva। ahaṃ ca tvaṃ ca kaunteya drakṣyāmaḥ śvetavāhanam ॥03-141-23॥
[नकुलः (nakulaḥ) - Nakulah; (the proper name Nakula; nominative singular;) सहदेवः (sahadevaḥ) - Sahadevah; (the proper name Sahadeva; nominative singular;) च (ca) - and; भीमसेनः (bhīmasenaḥ) - Bhīmasenah; (the proper name Bhīmasena; nominative singular;) च (ca) - and; पार्थिव (pārthiva) - O king; अहं (ahaṃ) - I; च (ca) - and; त्वं (tvaṃ) - you; च (ca) - and; कौन्तेय (kaunteya) - son of Kunti; (addressing Arjuna;) द्रक्ष्यामः (drakṣyāmaḥ) - we shall see; श्वेतवाहन् (śvetavāhanam) - Śvetavāhana (the one with white horses, i.e., Arjuna); (accusative singular;);]
(Nakulah, Sahadevah and Bhīmasenah and, O king, I and you and Kaunteya, we shall see Śvetavāhana.)
Nakulah, Sahadevah, Bhīmasenah, O king, I, you, and Kaunteya—together we shall see Śvetavāhana. (03-141-23)

एवं सम्भाषमाणास्ते सुबाहोर्विषयं महत्। ददृशुर्मुदिता राजन्प्रभूतगजवाजिमत् ॥०३-१४१-२४॥
evaṃ sambhāṣamāṇās te subāhor viṣayaṃ mahat। dadṛśur muditā rājan prabhūta-gaja-vāji-mat॥03-141-24॥
[एवं (evaṃ) - thus; सम्भाषमाणाः (sambhāṣamāṇāḥ) - speaking; ते (te) - they; सुबाहोः (subāhoḥ) - of Subāhu; विषयम् (viṣayam) - territory; महत् (mahat) - great; ददृशुः (dadṛśuḥ) - they saw; मुदिताः (muditāḥ) - glad; राजन् (rājan) - O king; प्रभूत-गज-वाजि-मत् (prabhūta-gaja-vāji-mat) - possessing many elephants and horses;]
(Thus, speaking, they, the territory of Subāhu, great, saw, glad, O king, possessing many elephants and horses.)
Thus, as they were conversing, O king, they, glad at heart, saw the great territory of Subāhu, abundant in elephants and horses. (03-141-24)
किराततङ्गणाकीर्णं कुणिन्दशतसङ्कुलम्। हिमवत्यमरैर्जुष्टं बह्वाश्चर्यसमाकुलम् ॥०३-१४१-२५॥
kirātataṅgaṇākīrṇaṁ kuṇindaśatasaṅkulam. himavatyamarairjuṣṭaṁ bahvāścaryasamākulam ॥03-141-25॥
[किराततङ्गणाकीर्णं (kirātataṅgaṇākīrṇam) - strewn with troops of Kirātas; कुणिन्दशतसङ्कुलम् (kuṇindaśatasaṅkulam) - filled with hundreds of Kuṇindas; हिमवत्यमरैः जुष्टं (himavati amaraiḥ juṣṭam) - upon the Himavat (Himalaya), frequented by immortals; बह्वाश्चर्यसमाकुलम् (bahvāścaryasamākulam) - crowded with many wonders;]
(Strewn with troops of Kirātas, filled with hundreds of Kuṇindas, upon the Himavat frequented by immortals, crowded with many wonders.)
It was a place strewn with troops of Kirātas, crowded with hundreds of Kuṇindas, situated on the Himalaya and frequented by immortals, filled with many marvels. (03-141-25)
सुबाहुश्चापि तान्दृष्ट्वा पूजया प्रत्यगृह्णत। विषयान्ते कुणिन्दानामीश्वरः प्रीतिपूर्वकम् ॥०३-१४१-२६॥
subāhuś cāpi tān dṛṣṭvā pūjayā pratyagṛhṇata। viṣayānte kuṇindānām īśvaraḥ prītipūrvakam ॥03-141-26॥
[सुबाहुः (subāhuḥ) - Subahu; (proper noun, subject); च (ca) - and; अपि (api) - also; तान् (tān) - them; दृष्ट्वा (dṛṣṭvā) - having seen; पूजया (pūjayā) - with honor; प्रत्यगृह्णत (pratyagṛhṇata) - received; विषय-अन्ते (viṣaya-ante) - at the end of the territory; कुणिन्दानाम् (kuṇindānām) - of the Kuṇindas; ईश्वरः (īśvaraḥ) - lord; प्रीति-पूर्वकम् (prīti-pūrvakam) - with affection;]
(Subahu and also having seen them with honor received; at the end of the territory, of the Kuṇindas, the lord, with affection.)
Subahu also, having seen them, greeted them with honor; at the border of the Kuṇinda kingdom, the lord received them with affection. (03-141-26)
तत्र ते पूजितास्तेन सर्व एव सुखोषिताः। प्रतस्थुर्विमले सूर्ये हिमवन्तं गिरिं प्रति ॥०३-१४१-२७॥
tatra te pūjitās tena sarva eva sukhoṣitāḥ। pratastur vimale sūrye himavantaṃ giriṃ prati ॥03-141-27॥
[तत्र (tatra) - there; ते (te) - they; पूजिताः (pūjitāḥ) - having been honored; तेन (tena) - by him; सर्व एव (sarva eva) - all indeed; सुखोषिताः (sukhoṣitāḥ) - having dwelt happily; प्रतस्थुः (pratastur) - set forth; विमले (vimale) - when unclouded (pure); सूर्ये (sūrye) - with (the) Sun; हिमवन्तं (himavantaṃ) - to Himavat; गिरिं (giriṃ) - mountain; प्रति (prati) - towards;]
(There they having been honored by him, all indeed having dwelt happily, set forth when (the) Sun was unclouded towards the Himavat mountain.)
There, having been honored by him and all indeed having dwelt happily, they set off towards Mount Himavat when the Sun was clear. (03-141-27)
इन्द्रसेनमुखांश्चैव भृत्यान्पौरोगवांस्तथा। सूदांश्च परिबर्हं च द्रौपद्याः सर्वशो नृप ॥०३-१४१-२८॥
indrasenamukhāṁś caiva bhṛtyān paurogavāṁs tathā | sūdāṁś ca paribarhaṁ ca draupadyāḥ sarvaśo nṛpa ॥03-141-28॥
[इन्द्रसेनमुखान् (indrasenamukhān) - Indrasena and others; (attendants led by Indrasena; literally: faces/heads of Indrasena; a head servant named Indrasena and those with him;) च (ca) - and; एव (eva) - indeed; भृत्यान् (bhṛtyān) - servants; पौरोगवान् (paurogavān) - priests (domestic priests); तथा (tathā) - as well; so; सूदान् (sūdān) - cooks; च (ca) - and; परिबर्हम् (paribarham) - paraphernalia (household articles, supplies); च (ca) - and; द्रौपद्याः (draupadyāḥ) - of Draupadī; सर्वशः (sarvaśaḥ) - entirely; completely; all; नृप (nṛpa) - O king;]
(Indrasena and others and indeed servants, priests as well, cooks and paraphernalia and entirely of Draupadī, O king.)
O king, all the attendants led by Indrasena, the servants, domestic priests, cooks, and all the paraphernalia belonging to Draupadī.
राज्ञः कुणिन्दाधिपतेः परिदाय महारथाः। पद्भिरेव महावीर्या ययुः कौरवनन्दनाः ॥०३-१४१-२९॥
rājñaḥ kuṇindādhipateḥ paridāya mahārathāḥ। padbhireva mahāvīryā yayuḥ kauravanandanāḥ ॥03-141-29॥
[राज्ञः (rājñaḥ) - of the king; कुणिन्दाधिपतेः (kuṇindādhipateḥ) - of the lord of the Kuṇindas; परिदाय (paridāya) - having entrusted; महारथाः (mahārathāḥ) - great chariot-warriors; पद्भिः (padbhiḥ) - on foot; एव (eva) - indeed; महावीर्याः (mahāvīryāḥ) - of great valor; ययुः (yayuḥ) - went; कौरवनन्दनाः (kauravanandanāḥ) - the sons of Kaurava;]
(Of the king, of the lord of the Kuṇindas, having entrusted, the great chariot-warriors, on foot indeed, of great valor, went, the sons of Kaurava.)
Having entrusted the king, the lord of the Kuṇindas, the greatly valiant sons of Kaurava, who were great chariot-warriors, went on foot. (03-141-29)
ते शनैः प्राद्रवन्सर्वे कृष्णया सह पाण्डवाः। तस्माद्देशात्सुसंहृष्टा द्रष्टुकामा धनञ्जयम् ॥०३-१४१-३०॥
te śanaiḥ prādravan sarve kṛṣṇayā saha pāṇḍavāḥ। tasmād deśāt susaṃhṛṣṭā draṣṭu-kāmā dhanañjayam॥03-141-30॥
[ते (te) - they; शनैः (śanaiḥ) - slowly; प्राद्रवन् (prādravan) - ran forth; सर्वे (sarve) - all; कृष्णया (kṛṣṇayā) - with Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī); सह (saha) - together with; पाण्डवाः (pāṇḍavāḥ) - the Pāṇḍavas; तस्मात् (tasmāt) - from that; देशात् (deśāt) - region; सुसंहृष्टा (susaṃhṛṣṭā) - very delighted; द्रष्टुकामा (draṣṭu-kāmā) - desiring to see; धनञ्जयम् (dhanañjayam) - Dhanañjaya (Arjuna);]
(They all, together with Kṛṣṇā, the Pāṇḍavas, slowly ran forth from that region, very delighted, desiring to see Dhanañjaya.)
All the Pāṇḍavas, together with Kṛṣṇā, slowly ran forth from that region, being very delighted and eager to see Dhanañjaya (Arjuna). (03-141-30)
