Then, when I was completely trusting and covered with healed arrow-wounds, the King of the gods graciously spoke these words to me at the proper time. (03-171-1)
All the divine weapons are within you, O Bhārata. No human on earth is able to overcome you. (03-171-2)
Bhīṣma, Droṇa, Kṛpa, Karṇa, and Śakuni—along with the kings—do not deserve even a sixteenth part of your son when he stands in battle. (03-171-3)
Maghavān, the lord, gave me this protection for my body: impenetrable armor and also a divine golden garland. (03-171-4)
The god gave me the conch called Devadatta, which has a great sound, and Indra himself attached this divine crown to me. (03-171-5)
Then Śakra (Indra) gave me these divine garments and ornaments, splendid and large. (03-171-6)
O king, thus, being honored there, I have happily dwelt in Indra's auspicious palace together with the Gandharva youths. (03-171-7)
Then Śakra (Indra), full of affection and accompanied by the immortals, spoke to me: "Arjuna, it is time for you to go, for your brothers indeed remember you." (03-171-8)
Thus, O Bhārata, O king, five years were spent by me in Indra's mansion, remembering the calamity caused by the game of dice. (03-171-9)
Then I saw you, surrounded by your brothers, having reached Gandhamādana, on the summit of this mountain. (03-171-10)

By good fortune, O sinless one, you have directly seen the Lord Sthāṇu together with the goddess, and you have pleased Him with your excellent battle, O scorcher of foes. (03-171-12)
By good fortune, O bull among the Bharatas, you have joined with the guardians of the world. By good fortune, we all rejoice; by good fortune, you have returned again. (03-171-13)
Today I think even this entire goddess, adorned with cities, has been conquered; and even the sons of Dhritarashtra too are subdued. (03-171-14)
