Then I, though angered, O Bhima, again restraining my anger, spoke to my desire-deluded self, 'Protect me, O Kīcaka.' (04-20-18)

When thus addressed, that wicked-minded one laughed aloud at that time, and did not remain on the right path, nor did he wish for righteousness. (04-20-24)

O Bhārata, break that one who is thus deluded by desire—who is the cause of many misfortunes for me—like a pot upon a stone. (04-20-32)
If he remains alive when the sun rises in the morning, I will drink poison rather than be under Kīcaka's control. For me, Bhīmasena, death before you is truly better. (04-20-33)
Vaiśampāyana said;
Having said thus, Kṛṣṇā wept, leaning on Bhīma's chest. Bhīma, embracing her and offering great consolation, mentally went towards Kīcaka, licking the corners of his mouth. (04-20-34)
